If you know me, you know Morrow's is one of my favorite NoLa spots, so trying Morrow Steak was a must. This location offers a more grown-and-sexy atmosphere, with beautiful ambiance and elevated aesthetics that set the tone for a great dining experience. My table ordered a variety of appetizers, including the tempura cauliflower (surprisingly delicious), tacos, gumbo, and sushi, each dish appeared to be thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. For my entrée, I chose the ribeye steak with a loaded baked potato, and it was perfectly cooked and absolutely satisfying. Every dish we tried delivered. If I had to rank this location among my favorite in the Morrow chain, it would likely fall within my top five (Sun Chong and Morrow's still are my top two). Still, Morrow Steak is a strong addition to the list and definitely worth a visit for the ambiance, elevated menu, and overall experience.

Bread . Reminds me of Texas Roadhouse vibes

A few friends and I went last night and OMG. I will be dreaming about that bread FOREVER. The bread gave off Texas Roadhouse vibes, but 1000 times better. Let's say I could eat that bread alone and not feel one bit guilty. We had the shrimp appetizer, we also got the cauliflower. Don't sleep on these. For my dinner I got the salmon with crab meat on top! OH MY! My friend got the stuffed chicken and that was delicious! All so flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection. If you have never been please add this to your list. I absolutely LOVE this spot! The server that I had, Erica, was AMAZING! She was attentive but not overwhelming. This girl was on it! The kind of service you get at fine dining in the quarter is what comes to mind! I already know what I'm getting next time !

Had a reservation and still had to wait over 15 mins for a seat. Didn't love that. It's super dark inside so it's hard to read the menu without using your phone for light. The decor is gorgeous inside.. Ok now to the food, the food was really good. My husband had the king salmon with the colossal crabmeat Oscar added. His salmon was cooked to perfection and the crabmeat was delicious. I ordered the stuffed chicken breasts with the garlic mash. The chicken was really good, I could have used a little more seasoning on the mash.. but it wasn't bad. My sister had the lamb chops and she mentioned they were also cooked to perfection, my brother had the steak and had to pay $9 for steak sauce (that was a little high for a little thing of sauce) but he did say it was good.. all in all we had a good meal..

It's located downtown New Orleans so parking can be tricky. We found a parking garage for @$8 per hour. Some of our party party's in the street. We visited for a surprise birthday party this weekend. We had a very large party (13) and we were seated near the back. They won't seat you until the majority of your party arrives. We had a variety of food choices and I chose the Ribeye steak and my wife had the salmon and we shared the seafood Mac n cheese. The table shared 3 Parker breads shaped like a large flower. It was soft, warm and delicious. The service was pretty good as we only had one waitress. The food was exceptionally delicious. Just fyi they charge for everything ( steak sauce, truffle butter etc). I would definitely return in the future.

10/10 enjoyed this restaurant. We came for dinner and although we didn't have a reservation they were able to find us a table pretty promptly. Great service, our server was friendly and made great suggestions. We ordered steaks cooked to perfection. The food was delicious and flavorful. Beautiful decor. I look forward to returning here whenever I visit again.

First, the establishment is a vibe. Some people would complain about the music being too loud, but for me, it was fine. I didn't come to dance. I came to eat. The cowboy rib eye was cooked to perfection (medium) and lay in that sauce. YUM!! They don't have any A1 sauce. But it didn't need it either. I'm just a sauce snob. The staff was so friendly. The place was so beautiful. It's definitely one of those places where if you wanna have a nice steak dinner, that's where you go! Even the bathroom was beautiful

We ended up here by accident. We were attempting to go to another restaurant with a similar name. But ended up here and decided to stay. Upon arrival we were immediately seated. The dining room is large and very modern. The music was a little loud for a steakhouse but definitely was a vibe with a mix of new and old school r&b. The menu had something for everyone. They did have gumbo but only seafood gumbo which was slightly disappointing. We ordered an array of appetizers and cocktails. The bar was very slow especially given the restaurant was not packed. But our server was amazing so it was forgiving. One of my dining companions felt their food was a bit undercooked for their liking and it was promptly addressed with the kitchen manager or chef coming to the table displaying an above and beyond attitude and willingness to make it right. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The portions were generous and we all left with a take home container. The desserts were phenomenal. It was my first time having Ube which was a cheesecake flavor offered by the restaurant and the crème brûlée was a table pleaser. I definitely recommend!

My girls and I dined at marrows for my friend 40th birthday. We were promptly seated and our server was very helpful and attentive The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the RnB playing throughout. I ordered the seafood Mac and cheese and a steak. Seafood Mac was shareable and tasty. My steak was on the cooler side but decent. My friend said the same about her steak. My other friend mentioned that her entree needed salt. The crab cakes were tasty and the shrimp were ok. I did not care for the gumbo at all. Very expensive restaurant so I expected a little more. I gave 4 stars based on my meal only (more like a 3.8-4)

Loved Morrow Steak! The decor and ambiance are upscale and really nice, definitely gives that classy, date night vibe. Metered parking was super convenient, right outside the restaurant. The food was amazing from start to finish. The brioche was warm and buttery, the Kung Pao cauliflower had the perfect kick, and the filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious, and the drinks were on point too. Overall, great food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Enjoy!

I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service was great, and the food was amazing too. We started with the surf and turf roll; it was hands down the best surf and turf roll I've had and the bar was set from there. As an entree, I had the 8 oz. filet + chimichurri and sun butter shrimp. The creole butter sauce was slightly oily and was not loaded with flavor, but it still enhanced the steak as it was supposed to. For sides, the seafood mac and cheese as well as the broccolini were decent choices. The mac and cheese could've used a bit more seasoning. We also had the off-menu praline beignets that were delicious! Overall, the sushi was still the star of the show! I can't remember the names of the drinks, but one was essentially a rum punch - delicious! And the other was veryyyy good as well! This was truly a dining experience as everything had some aspect of a performance to it, which I always enjoy.

Morrow Steak is a beautiful space. I recommend making a reservation even though we walked in. They were able to accommodate us in under an hour but there is not much space to wait. Which is why I strongly suggest making a reservation. But wait time was super reasonable for walking in on a Saturday night. The staff is great from doorman, hosts, bartenders, servers everyone we encountered was friendly. The cocktails were excellent they also have a nice wine program. The food was good! My only small complaint was my steak was overcooked. It was still good juicy and flavorful so not worth sending it back. I also wish the chimichurri was room temp and not cold. Overall a solid dining experience. I would recommend definitely on par with other local steakhouses. Going back this week to check out the happy hour.

This restaurant absolutely lives up to the hype! From the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by the hostesses to being escorted to your table, everything feels special. I definitely recommend making reservations because it gets busy quickly. We started with the fluffiest rolls you could imagine. For appetizers, we tried the Mardi Gras shrimp and cauliflower bites--both were delicious. Our entrées included the stuffed chicken with broccolini and the special of the day, a cowboy ribeye paired with a lobster tail. Everything was seasoned so perfectly that the lobster didn't even need butter sauce. Dessert was the star of the show: the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever seen, and it was absolutely to die for! The portions are generous--perfect for sharing. The drinks were also fantastic, with the Jazzy Julia Punch being my personal favorite. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Our servers were attentive, and the manager made it a point to stop by every table, which added a personal touch. Overall, Morrow's delivered on every level and I can't wait to go back! The restaurant had amazing ambience.

seafood mac and cheese 9/10. absolutely loved it.

We went here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Parking was pretty easy, as there is street parking readily accessible. We were lucky enough to get a spot right out front. We were greeted at the door and the staff seemed very attentive. We were then walked to our table. I immediately noticed 1. that the decor in the entire space was very aesthetic and 2. that the music was quite loud. I think the music could have been turned down just a bit, it would still keep the lively feel but I could better hear my partner and our server. Out of everything we ordered, I really liked the seafood mac and cheese. It was 10/10 I wouldn't have changed anything. There are some pretty big chunks of garlic, so if you're not a big garlic fan, beware. The ube cheesecake was great though it had a slightly strong salty taste. I did like that they offered an ube cheesecake, as I thought this was very unique. Overall, our experience at Morrow Steak was pretty nice. It's definitely worth stopping by just make sure to set a reservation. We also previously really enjoyed their sister restaurant, Morrows.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

It started the moment we walked in. Glancing at the hostess, asking "OK to sit at the bar?", getting a nod, sitting down. An experience we've done in hundreds of restaurants. (We had reservations for a table but often prefer the bar.) The bartender -- whom we believe was named Mike -- started off his interaction with new customers as follows. "Did you check with the hostess?" I nodded in the affirmative, apparently that wasn't enough. "Check with the hostess", he ordered. I got up, went over the hostess stand, and confirmed, this time so "Mike" could see, that it was OK for us to sit at a half-empty bar. (In retrospect, we should have gotten up and walked out immediately, but it was late and even in the Quarter most places were closing for dinner.) You see, Mike clearly didn't want to be working that night. He was rude, inattentive, and condescending. And not just to us, to everyone seated at the bar. Slow making drinks, slow asking for orders, seething contempt for his customers. One time we asked to see a drink menu to decide on a new drink, he said, and this is a direct quote, "Do you want to see it or do you want to review it?" Mike's behavior was clearly well-known to the staff, because another staff member, who was off-shift and next to us at the bar, witnessed this behavior and arranged for a free dessert on the house (classy move on her part). She confided in us that Mike's pretty much always like that, but that he's a buddy of the general manager so seemingly un-fireable. Well, here's hoping someone reads this and thinks the better of Doris Metropolitan, or at least sitting at the bar. Unless you think service you'd get in a Paris tourist trap cafe is appropriate for a high-end steakhouse, you're better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Now I'm sure the hostess is accustom to people bringing in their pets and lying that they're service dogs, so she told me that we had to sit outside. That's obviously illegal, we got the manager involved, the manager quickly understood that we weren't bringing a pet and got us sat inside. We ordered drinks, they took a long time to come out. I asked the grade of the Wagyu on the Manhattan steak, and the server told me it was "6 or 12 or something" Wagyu obviously comes A1-A5, so I asked him to go check. He came back and said it was A5. Not knowing Wagyu grades, and the drinks taking a while was the only place the service was lacking, he was otherwise delightful. $70 bucks seemed kind inexpensive for an A5, but I had never actually had one before so I ordered it medium rare. We ordered the seafood platter, that was fine, the breading on the shrimp was kinda soggy. Main courses comes out, and my medium rare steak was literally back black and blue. It was still cold in the center. I'm not one to send food back, but I couldn't eat it. Sent it back. It comes back quickly... too quickly, still way under cooked. Sent it back a 3rd time. At that point the rest of my family was done eating and I asked for it to just be removed instead. Which they did, and they boxed it up for me anyway in addition to comping all of our drinks, which was of course very nice. I ended up eating that steak for lunch the next day, and IF it was Wagyu, it was A1, there is a 0% chance that had the marbling to be an A5, I've had prime New York's from CostCo that had better marbling. So I give them 2 stars, the server had some learning to do, been there, but was very nice. They made up for their errors on the bill, I appreciate that, but we still went there with higher expectations. 2 stars is kind.

From the moment we sat down, the staff set the tone--professional, genuinely friendly, and impressively efficient. We began with a trio of starters that showcased both richness and restraint. The foie gras torchon was silky and indulgent, perfectly complemented by fruit confiture and warm, toasted Bellegarde Bakery bread--a classic pairing done right. Marinated crab claws, dressed in a lively chili vinaigrette, delivered a bright, briny punch, while the pickled pineapple and jalapeño chips added just the right balance of sweetness and heat. A cucumber salad rounded out the starters, crisp and refreshing, acting as a welcome palate reset before the mains. For entrées, comfort and finesse shared the plate. The confit chicken thighs were meltingly tender, paired with ham-braised greens swimming in a tangy apple cider vinegar broth. A lovely Dijon cream tied everything together, adding richness without overwhelming the dish. Equally memorable was the half smoked duck, beautifully executed and deeply flavorful, served over a smooth pumpkin-sweet potato purée. The cherry bourbon glaze brought a subtle sweetness, while the pepitas added texture and a nutty finish. Dessert was the perfect exclamation point on an already wonderful meal: a slice of hot chocolate cheesecake, decadent and deeply chocolaty, crowned with toasted marshmallow fluff that leaned just enough into nostalgia without crossing into excess. Toups Meatery continues to deliver thoughtful, soulful cooking with polish and heart--comfort food elevated, served by a team that clearly knows what they're doing. That's clearly communicated when you're greeted, so naturally it sets the expectation for shareable portions. We started with the ricotta and meatballs. Overall, portions felt on the smaller side, but the ricotta, especially at $18, was honestly a bit shocking in size. When we asked about it, a server jokingly said "inflation." I get it, but still. The two guys I dined with come here often and were actually the ones pointing out that portions have seemed to shrink. For mains, we each ordered a pasta. One was a server recommended agnolotti with crab, corn, and roe. It was decent, but the broth felt a bit too loose and could've used more depth and richness. That said, the crab portion was generous, the pesto was great, and the red sauce pasta was solid. We also ordered two pizzas, hands down the highlight of the meal. Easily the best thing we had. One small but off putting detail, the red pepper flakes were served in an open jar rather than a shaker. It made me question how many hands had been in it, especially since it appeared to have been reused from another table. Not the most sanitary presentation. Dessert was a strong finish. Panna cotta, tiramisu, and olive oil cake were all fresh and delicious. Drinks included a cocktail for me and beers plus an espresso martini for the table, all fine. Service wise, things started okay but felt rushed toward the end. We even mentioned we were still picking at food and what seemed to be a manager still cleared plates from the table. The tables themselves are also very small, which doesn't help when you're doing family style dining. Our server appeared to be training someone but never introduced them, which made things feel a bit awkward. Also, when resetting silverware, it felt rushed and a little careless, almost tossed onto the table rather than placed. Overall, the experience was good but not great. The food had its highlights, but portion sizes versus price and some service missteps held it back. 6/10, and honestly it reminded me why I hadn't felt the urge to come back before.

Loved the ambiance inside as the bar is very lively and decorated, while the dining room is more classy and elegant. Food here is super good, though the menu is pricy so keep that in mind. Potato soufflé app was a hit! Perfect appetizer in my opinion and would definitely recommend you try it when you go. As for recommendations that you must try when you go, the crab au gratin was one of the best dishes I've ever had!!! I shared a bite with those at my table and every person just had that look of pure bliss on their face (like the food critic in Ratatouille after he took the first bite). It was absolutely phenomenal and you must try it, though I'd recommend you share as it might induce a stage 5 food coma if you put that bad boy down yourself. I also ordered the Veal chop which was delicious! It was cooked about medium with a nice sear, was flavorful, and was a pretty decent size. We didn't get dessert as we were all stuffed, but I'm sure they're tasty as well. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here and would highly recommend you check this place out -- whether you're a local or someone visiting. I know I'll be back the next time I go, probably to try that crab au gratin again as I'm still thinking about it weeks later!!

Stay away if there's another event at the restaurant; otherwise, it will be wonderful.

Managing a group of this size--split between two rooms of 30 and 60--is no small feat, but the staff and service were fast, efficient, and professional from start to finish. The Turtle Soup was a major talking point for our guests. For many, it was a first-time experience. I personally preferred the deep, savory profile of the soup on its own, but the traditional tableside sherry pour added a unique complexity that made it a must-try for anyone visiting. For the main course, the U.S.D.A. Prime 16 oz Rib-Eye was the star. Serving a large group and getting the temperature right is usually where big events stumble, but these were cooked to a perfect medium-rare across the board. The char and seasoning were phenomenal--there wasn't a single complaint from the table, which says a lot for a group with varied steak preferences. We finished with the Crème Brûlée, which arrived perfectly chilled with that signature, glass-like caramelized sugar crust. Beyond the food, the service was the highlight. The wine was flowing, and the staff did an incredible job managing individualized drink orders for 90 guests without missing a beat. The atmosphere was conversational, loud, and full of laughter--the ideal environment for high-level networking. If you are looking to host a large-scale executive dinner in New Orleans where the food quality and service need to be top-tier, this is the place.

We were looking for a nice restaurant away from the bar scene of downtown New Orleans. Looking in the window and perusing the menu, we saw a nice steakhouse at nice steakhouse prices. We went in and the hostess was able to seat us right away....but she walked us into the bar area to a high-top table by a window with a view of a TV. This was not the ambience we were looking for and despite being in blue jeans, we could afford anything and everything on the menu. So we asked the server for an actual table in the dining room and she pleasantly agreed to ask for us. The hostess, with as much attitude as she could dish out without actually calling us names, came up and said, "oh, you want a table?" She snatched the menus off the bar table and walked toward the dining room without saying another word. She sat us at an acceptable table and walked away, still oozing attitude. Luckily, Colin approached and quickly spun it around to an absolutely pleasant dining experience. The filet mignon was absolutely delectable! We also had a side of potatoes au gratin, which were pretty good as well. Colin's service was top-notch.
