4* This is our go to sushi place. Never had a bad experience here. The chefs here are always friendly and greet you with a smile. The service staff is just as friendly and helpful too. It's a small space. 3 tables and a few bar seats. Every time we've been we've always been given a complimentary roll by the chef. Don't sleep on their hot items. Bento boxes, tempura, and ramen are some of my favorites. If you're ever near the university and craving some sushi give this place a visit. read more

I used to come here during college days, and even a decade later I'm still enjoying it here! It's still the same hole in the wall but yet, it's gotten better. Came in and was seated immediately. We started our orders and the food came out pretty quick. The sever was so attentive! She always checked in and made sure we had everything we need. The fish was fresh, the rice ratio was good. The flavors were all there! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the drizzle over the raw sushi rolls (I'm sure you can opt out of it). Everything we got was so fresh, flavorful and delicious. We noticed there were a lot of take out orders from this place. It's nice to see that they are busy. The chef was also very nice as we got two sushi on the house along with some orange slices. Very nice touch to help cleanse our palate. It also made our dining experience that much nicer. I lived in the high desert for over 10 years and nothing down the hill compared to Samurai Sushi... until now!! I have been several times now and Rock N Roll Sushi never disappoints! The vegetable tempura and Jalapeño Flamingo roll are so light and crispy -- chefs kiss! They also throw in a complimentary half of a roll sometimes which is great because I end up trying new rolls and they are always freaken amazing! The customer service is also great every single time. This is my favorite restaurant. I've come here on my sister's graduation, my first date, and my birthday. The ambience inside is very relaxing and peaceful, they always have good music on. The waitresses and chefs are very kind, they always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. The service is absolutely amazing. The sushi is the cherry on top. I love eating the garlic edamame for the appetizer, and usually dabble in a few tempura and deep fried rolls. The chefs always give a complimentary roll, which are always delicious. The fresh rolls are also delicious. I swear my eyes are bigger than my stomach, so I always have to take some home... only to eat it the next morning. Thats how good it is. i'd like to say this is my second time here and it was just as good as the first. Service: i walked in around 6:45 pm and it was slightly busy. As soon as you walk in the beautiful servers greet you with a smile and are so nice! when seated we got our menus and our drinks were brought to us quickly, i got a pink lemonade and a water with a lemon slice. these servers actually attended me the last time i got here and were above and beyond sweet! Food: i chose the Aloha roll ($16.95) and the Baked Lobster roll. ($18.95) The Aloha roll is a Fresh Roll and my absolute fav, actually surpassing my long standing baked lobster. this comes with spicy tuna and avocado and cucumber, although these chefs do not skimp on the tuna! it was packed full and SO good. it's topped with albacore and a jalapeño slice, and a dot of siracha. The albacore literally melts in your mouth! the rice also is the perfect amount! The Aloha roll has a fresh, juicy, decadent taste that i highly recommend! 10/10 would and will definitely order again. The Baked Lobster Roll is usually my go to at any sushi place because it's a familiar palate of mine and this is no different. This roll is deliciously prepared with crab and avocado (again, zero skimping here) and topped with lobster, masago, and green onion. my only complaint about this dish is that i couldnt really taste the green onion, but other than that it was YUMMY. 8.5/10 Next, we ordered the cucumber salad, i personally did not try it but my boyfriend did and he said it was sweet yet tangy and has vinegar in it. he gave it a 9/10 We were also given a complimentary dish, i'm not sure of the name so i apologize but it was VERY good. i would say basic as in ingredients but still very tasty :) ill insert a pic below. As well as a beautifully cut Orange that was the best palette cleanser. We were so grateful for these and loved them! The atmosphere is a college kids dream with it being a casual spot that played good music and the friendliest staff :D In total this meal was $49.86 w/o tip. with a $20 tip, it was $69.86. Ordered: Beautiful Red - California roll with salmon poke on top Salmon on Fire - my son's favorite Alaska roll - one with asparagus and one without California roll The salmon was so soft and delicious, it melted in your mouth! We went to place our order and employee told us it would be ready in ten minutes. Came back, but it wasn't ready. They called me when it was ready and Chef gave us a free baked salmon because of the wait.
