Was craving sushi and decided to stop somewhere close by. The decor was nice, but not well kept. A little bit of tidying up and dusting would help. The staff are a little aloof and I feel like are always looking to us with a blank stare even after we asked for napkins and to add to our order. Sushi restaurants by colleges are known to be affordable and decent. I ordered a few rolls and none of them stood out. They were decently good. The fish were fresh, the rolls I felt had a little too much rice. What threw me off, were the plates our sushi was served on, as one of them looked like crusted avocado was never washed off of it properly. I'm assuming this place attracts the younger crowd, as it was busy when I was there with what I assume are probably college kids. If you're used to serving that type of demographic then I can see why the standard here isn't too high. read more

Came here with coworkers during our lunch break and we were surprised it was empty. Nobody else came in while we ate here. Ambiance and setting is really nice. Service was good. But food was meh. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and asked for an egg and extra meat. Instead of extra tonkotsu meat, I got extra chewy beef on the side. Noodles were over cooked, and broth flavor was a bit bland; so was the pork. As a ramen enthusiast this was definitely not the best but also not the worst I've had. My coworkers shared some sushi with me and we both ended up having a stomach ache about 2 hours later. Don't know if I'd recommend this place. It has potential if they just tried their own food maybe they would make it better. read more

This is hands down the best sushi place. I've have been coming here since 2018. My husband has been coming here longer. Our daughter was born in 2020 and when she started eating, this also became her favorite place. When my family visits us they also request Sushi Tomo. We've also brought our church missionaries here for dinner and they were amazed at the variety of rolls and appetizers. I'm not embarrassed to say that sometimes we are there 2x a week and sometimes even for a quick mom/daughter lunch. Food is amazing! And we said yes , he cleaned off a table like 4-5 min later and we sat and no menu was handed to us... they don't have like a QR code so my girlfriend and I were just sitting there .... Another 10min go by and nothing ... no server nothing not even a menu ... the owner didn't even seem to care either ...we just wanted some sushi but ended up walking out after wasting a good 30min of my night . I would give 0 stars. I came at 8:40 and they close at 9:30. I asked at 9 if I could get another hand roll and one of the workers said no that they wouldn't be able to get it to me within 20 minutes. There was only one other table it was empty. They whispered last call and I made eye contact with him and he looked away. came for great reviews and good food. when my friend and i got there no one was in the front so we approached the register, 2/18 probably around 7:30-8. the kid at the customer was very rude, asked us if it was dining in or picking up. we said we wanted to eat there. he takes a look around and says "we're so packed today it might be a wait", and proceeds to finish whatever he was doing. there were plenty of booths and tables with dirty plates so my friend and I said, maybe he's just working alone? we're in customer service let's cut him some slack. No, then he comes back and i ask well "how long? its the wait for two" and goes 'mmmm probably around 35-40 minutes, are you sure you want to wait?' by then i knew why he was asking, you dont ask that unless you DONT want to sit people down. we proceed to say yes we'll wait because if we order out it'll be the same wait for the food. he immediately sits us down and says ill clean a table for you. huh???? i thought it was a 40 minute wait. from then food was a good 7/10, great sushi, ramen was Shin Ramen from the packaging for sure but not bad. He didn't give us utensils and seems really unenthusiastic to help out, which we could understand had the first instance not happened. horrible service. read more

From the server coming straight inside after smoking a cigarette and not bothering to wash his hands, to waiting over 5 minutes without even being acknowledged to place an order. This place was amazing over 10 years ago I took the woman of my dreams here and had her try a roll for the first time. She loved it and I fell in love with her! I went back a few weeks ago and the food was even better, the place was clean, the employees were friendly and greeted us as we came in and left. Excited to come back for a date night. Tomo Sushi is great! I always do takeout. I call the order in and it's ready very quickly! They are the one of the only restaurants I have found out here that has soft shell crab on the menu! I'm from the east coast and always had soft shell crab. I've had several different sushi rolls there that have been wonderful. The Diva roll and soft shell crab roll are excellent along with the Philly roll and Pink Lady roll. The appetizer of soft shell crab is a must every time I go! read more
