    Rainbow, Spicy Tuna

10/10! My friend and I came here on a Wednesday night a little bit after work since we were craving all you can eat sushi! We were in the area for a work trip and found this place on yelp! When we arrived, although the small building and parking seems very quiet, tucked away on the street-- don't let it fool you when we walked in it was super busy! We placed our name down for two, but we were sat within less than 10 minutes at the sushi bar area! Of course, we did that all you can eat option and you get three rounds. Per our first round, we got the rainbow roll and spicy tuna roll. For me I feel like a rainbow roll is the perfect roll to determine if a sushi spot is good because you can taste the quality of the fish and the crab meat as well. Rainbow Roll: 5/5 Spicy Tuna: 5/5 Salmon nigiri: 5/5 Mackerel nigiri: 5/5 Tbh we ordered a lot and I can't remember all the rolls and nigiri but one thing I'd like to add is they had a no rice option! All of it was sooo good. We were both satisfied! We honestly craved it the next day lol! Overall, this was a good spot, very lively, and the sushi chefs were very great and super quick! PS, leave them a good tip and you'll hear that bell ring! Much deserved!

There has been a big improvement in service and cleanliness. The food is still so yummy!! Big fan, best sushi spot in San Bernardino, don't let the ad area fool you. This place is great!

Miyagi is a simple AYCE sushi spot in San Bernardino with a pretty big menu and fast service. the staff was friendly and the food came out quickly, which I appreciated. some items were better than others, but a few things did stand out -- the salmon nigiri was decent, the rolls were filling, and the appetizers came out hot and fresh. it's a good spot when you're craving AYCE and want something affordable and casual without a long wait. overall, it's not the fanciest sushi, but it gets the job done and is a solid option if you're in the area and want to eat a lot for a good price!!

MY NEW FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT IN THE IE! I used to drive 40 mins to sushi one spot and that place is still good but this place is better!!! The salmon was so fresh and all the rolls were so good and saucy! They had so many apps on their ayce menu that I havnt seen at other ayce spots! I went for lunch on a Friday and it wasn't that busy and we got great service and our food came out super fast! It is a Korean owned Japanese restaurant which I love too!!!!!!!

My husband and I visited Miyagi Sushi for the first time a few weeks ago and had high hopes based on their reviews and the traction they were gaining from social media. The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. We felt very uncomfortable and rushed whenever we tried to ask questions to the servers. They did not check on us unless we flagged them down and when we did get them to come over to us, they were ready to dash away after a few words without even letting us complete one thought. When I would try to ask another question, they seemed so irritated. Honestly, it didn't matter how good the food was, the service made me feel super unwelcome. The restaurant itself is an intimate space with several tables and a sushi bar to dine in. They have their own private, free parking lot for patrons to use. We came in for lunch on a weekday and they had a good flow of customers coming in and out during our visit. They ended up seating us at the sushi bar, so rolls came out quickly for us upon being prepared as they were directly handed to us from behind the sushi bar. Some standout items for us was the Seared Salmon (good sauce to complement the fish), the salmon carpaccio, volcano roll, and godzilla roll. The rolls were a little sauce heavy. Other than that, no complaints about the food. Although the service completely missed the mark for us, the food was not bad and we left full.

Back here.. and this place just hits every time!! We got the AYCE and we ate!! 10/10 on everything no notes.. even on a busy evening we were served quickly.. place was quiet enough to have conversations and staff was friendly as always.. will be back always!

Just okay sushi. Nothing really stood out. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. My friend said the seared roll was basically cooked it was torched so much. I'm not a fan of seared, so I can't comment but they weren't happy with it. Other than that, service was okay. Plates were cleared quickly. I guess if you're looking to order massive quantities of sushi rather than have quailty this is the place for you. Would I come back? Probably not.

Rice ratio was awful on these seared salmon

Guys, just don't come here. We came here after seeing many positive reviews and stellar recommendations but DANG I've never been so disappointed. Ambiance is fine, it's clean and orderly but that's about standard, decor and sushi bar is cool, suitable for a date or friends night. Service was atrocious. It took so long to get out our AYCE rounds, and our empty waters were only refilled if we waved someone over. Finally, the food. Are you kidding? How does this place have more than 3 stars. The rice ratio is awful, slivers of fish on hard tacks of dry chewy rice. Thin fish that they dress in sauce to mask the poor quality, flavorless fish. We got several rolls, salmon, tuna, shrimp, mackerel, we got so many things hoping it would be good. They dress them up nice so the pictures look good, but we often had crumbly broken pieces of fish on our nigiris which were awful. The best dish of the night? Miso soup. 1/5 stars I want a refund this place was so bad. DO NOT GO HERE. Positive reviews are from delusional people who think mayonnaise and tempura are what make sushi.

I SWEAR I reviewed this place already! But I can't find it anywhere! This place is among the best sushi restaurants in the IE. It's always busy, and the food is always terrific. The Hummingbird is the must-try. Miyagi was making Hummingbirds before anyone else here, and although it may be imitated, it has not been matched. Be ready for tight quarters. This is not the place for someone who is claustrophobic or looking for an intimate date night. It's loud and busy and humming. There's usually a spot or two in the parking lot, but there'a also some street parking. Last point: It's a tough hood in San Bernardino. Don't be dissuaded by the hood. The food is worth it.

This sushi place was very good. Food was excellent place was packed. Service was good. Highly recommended get there early to avoid the crowd.

I had been seeing this place on yelp for a really long time and never tried it until now! The service was incredibly fast and they were attentive to everyone's wants and needs. I have to say, the sushi rolls here are the best out of any AYCE sushi place because they put very little rice in the rolls. I would 100% come back here for all you can eat!

This place is phenomenal. It's a hole in the wall in SB but when I tell you it's some of the best if not the best sushi we have ever had. We've had some bougie spots in OC and other areas and they do not even compare. The pieces of the sushi are perfect. I hate it when the pieces are HUGE and you can only enjoy a limited amount of rolls. I highly highly recommend the following items and rolls, just trust me because we have been here a hundred times and you cannot go wrong with these. We've tried a few other rolls but come back to the same ones every time: Aloha, Vivi, I love salmon, 1985, 1995, crispy rice, Miyagi special. If you want a fried roll the rafaga is great as well. Also the tuna and salmon carpaccio are delicious. The takoyaki and vegetable tempura are great as well. I don't recommend the edamame, it was lacking flavor. The service is great as well everyone is nice. We bring everyone here and it is a hit every time. Love this place.

Came in for the first time and waited probably only 10 minutes. The vibe was awesome, busy, smell of sushi in the air . Was told we could be seated and served immediately if we sat at bar, so we did. Appetizers came fast followed by 3 delicious rounds of AYCE! Was satisfied with the quick service, friendly staff and even better food!

The fish tasted fresh, portions were good, and everything came out pretty quick even though they were busy. All you can eat is the way to go n We ordered a mix of rolls, plus some appetizers, and nothing missed. The sushi had a good balance--not too much rice, not overloaded with sauce, just clean flavors. Service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. The place itself is pretty casual, but that actually adds to the vibe. If you're in the area and want reliable sushi without overpaying, this is definitely a spot worth checking out. I'd come back.

Kind and decently fast service. Though the menu says "Sushi/Nigiri", they only serve nigiri. It was…read morea nice touch that we received dessert on the house, which was a matcha ice cream! 6/5 - Sexy Salmon (back) - Savory and delicious, and the star of our meal. The sear was perfect, and the green onion topping and sauce, along with the small slice portions made this easy and fun to eat. Definitely try this in your first round! 5/5 - Shooting Star (front) - Very savory and delicious! If you like the cajun flavor with the spicy aioli sauce, this won't disappoint. The crunch from the tempura shrimp with the texture profile of the crab and rice makes this a very satisfying roll! 5/5 - Carpaccio - This was actually one of the best carpaccio dishes I had gotten, and I think it is due to the seasoning. You only get one order per person which is typical of other AYCE sushi places, but definitely something to savor! 5/5 - Bluefin Tuna - This is limited to one order per customer, but it was the first time I had eaten a bluefin tuna at an AYCE restaurant that tasted like bluefin tuna from Japan. This is more toro than chutoro/otoro, however it did have that distinct bluefin tuna taste. Impressed! 4/5 - Dynamite - Interesting baked roll dish. Served under a small flame that dies out, it was a very savory, easy-to-eat dish with chopsticks. However, it felt a bit overcooked by the end of the flame, which understandably can be hit-or-miss. Definitely try it out, as this kind of dish is typically rare in AYCE restaurants. 5/5 - Del Rosa and East Highland - These are both the same No Rice Roll just with different wraps. The fish serving was generous and we were impressed! The sauce complemented both perfectly. 4/5 - X-Girlfriend and X-Boyfriend - Pretty much the same No Rice Roll but with different fish. Kind of tastes the same from the other No Rice Rolls so I would just get one order to try it out. 3/5 - O.M.G., Pizza, and SBD Hill - About the same flavor profile with the creamy sauce with the seafood that is placed on top of California rolls. You can probably do with just one of these rolls whichever appeals to you. Of course, it is not exactly the same, but we didn't really care to figure out which was which as we were eating it. 2/5 - Flying Dragon - Was not particularly impressed with this dish. There was a lot of rice served for a thin slice of eel and white fish. The sliced onion was OK, and it did not seem to complement the dish significantly. It seemed more like a separate item placed on top of the roll. 3/5 - Cajun Tuna Nigiri - Decent tuna nigiri. I thought the slices were very thin, so the sear actually went through the whole fish rather than just at the surface which would have made a two-texture profile bite. However, it just seemed dry due to the seared thin slice. 3/5 - Cajun Salmon Nigiri - Same issue with the cajun tuna nigiri. It was seasoned well with the cajun, but the thin slice of the salmon made the sear more of a "cook" rather than a seared surface. 4/5 - Regular Salmon Nigiri - Typical salmon nigiri flavor with regular portion of rice. I think it is beaten out my other AYCE sushi restaurants that are generous with their fish portion and provide minimal rice. 1/5 - Shrimp Boat - This dish was very disappointing. While it is advertised as shrimp with crab meat, our whole group found that it was an overwhelming amount of crab meat and could barely pick out the shrimp. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 1/5 - Lobster Ball - This dish was also disappointing. While it is advertised as lobster with crab meat, we barely found a difference between this and the shrimp boat aside from shape. Even with the pictures, the size was larger than we expected. Difficult to finish especially in the 2nd half of our meal. Granted due to being a tempura roll, it was served later. 3/5 - Calamari - Huge portions but could have been salted more. Good crunch but I would hesitate on finishing this portion because you might get full! 3/5 - Shrimp Tempura - We ordered 4 orders of this and only received one order (2 pieces). Decent fry and could also be salted a bit more.

So, of course, I look on Yelp and came across Nko Niko sushi, which is regarded as one of the best sushi spots in Redlands. I actually went as far as double checking on reddit and the votes were definitely in! This place seemed legit so I had to try it. It's located in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. There are several restaurants in the area, while Niko Niko is tucked away near the water fountains out front. As I arrived, they quickly sat me at the bar area and my typical rainbow roll and I tried their snow cone roll. The rolls were so good and the fish was fresh! I loved the sweet sauce that was added to the snow cone roll. After about 20 mins, the chef, who's name is Yaser, started asking me what my favorite fish is and why I like it. I told him Albacore and he instantly makes me some concoction with ponzu sauce which was fire. He then asked me if I like salmon and I told him yes and he makes me a seared salmon roll with orange sauce and pepper. By this time I'm stuffed but enjoying this experience. He made going to a sushi restaurant interesting again like when I first tried sushi. We start talking about Japan and he ask me if I ever had salmon skin. I tell him absolutely not and that when I bake salmon I usually take the skin off. He then tells me that I HAVE to try a salmon skin handroll so I figured I should just go with it. My mind was blown!! I actually like salmon skin lol. It was so good! Overall, I had an amazing experience at Niko Niko and Chef Yaser. I left him a generous tip for the experience and he changed the way I will forever dine at a sushi bar now. If you're in the area, please stop at Niko for some fresh tasty sushi and an excellent sushi experience with sushi chef's that know what they're doing. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

I sensed something exciting was going to happen -- but relying entirely on word of mouth. Flash-forward to early 2026, where readers of the local weekly paper named this the Best Sushi of Redlands. I was so excited, and as my visit last week demonstrates -- things have only improved. KYO SUSHI was packed at 5PM on a Tuesday. Not only slammed, but standing room only. I don't know what happened but I'm so happy for them. Two subtle changes have happened and I'm all for them. A LOCAL NEWS channel sharing dreadful stories on the TV has been swapped for hi-def reels of lovely Asian spots, making our escape from the crazy world we live in complete. I believe KYO is on the brink of having outgrown this location, but a lease is likely keeping them there for a while. It's a shame they can't move next door into the old Von's location -- lol -- because what a place that would be. Enough room in their to farm the fish. Pro Tip -- try the Megan Fox roll!

Kyo Sushi was okay. I may have gone in with higher expectations because of the 4.7 rating on Yelp,…read morebut overall it felt a little overhyped. The roll presentation was very good, and visually the food looked great. The plates came out clean, colorful, and nicely arranged. Flavor-wise though, the rolls were fairly bland. The house mayo tasted like regular mayo, which isn't necessarily bad, but I guess I was expecting something with a little more going on, maybe closer to a spicy mayo or some kind of signature sauce. We also ordered a Philly roll, but were brought the Philly "Pro" instead. The Pro is deep fried, which I wasn't expecting, and I took a bite without realizing how hot it was and almost burned my mouth. I did mention that "Philly roll" and "Philly Pro" are close enough in name that I could see wrong orders happening pretty easily. Service was direct and decent. Nothing bad, just more to-the-point than warm or memorable. I'd probably give this place another shot, because it seemed like we may have gotten caught in a rush all at once. Not terrible by any means, and the presentation was definitely a strong point, but it wasn't quite the standout experience I was expecting.
