Sushi Miguel's Style has been on my "to try" list for a few years, and we finally were able to make a visit! We really enjoyed our rolls: I had the standard Miguel Style Roll, and my bf got the salmon roll. Both were excellent and very flavorful. The one thing we did not love was the nigiri platter (the flying saucer). The fish itself was fairly bland and not distinguishable in flavor between the different kinds of fish. Next time, we want to try more rolls, but will pass on the nigiri. read more

Ay Miguel que pasó? With ocean temperatures rising and the quality of seafood worldwide tanking. Sushi restaurants need to really get better and more educated on fish quality. If you hav to spend more on wholesale fish to serve quality cuts to the people of the inland empire please do so. The quality of the tunas and other fish being served has just been going down even more it's so unfortunate because the flavor sir Miguel sushi are delicious and innovative especially with the onion and the chili oil but to me they're trying to mask fishiness. I don't know why Latinos aren't more versed on the quality of seafood because I have had this problem with resuarant owners not just in the inland empire but in Los Angeles and Orange County too where they don't source the best fish and seafood and this so what they're serving people overly flavored cuts of fish to make the lack of freshness. Also the women waitresses who have worked here for a couple of years can be mean for no reason :( read more

The food was great! My sister gets the all you can eat! I like to pick a favorite roll and veggie tempura. It's always busy here. I wish I could have given them all the stars but they take so long to give you service. We waited 30mins just to get the bill. Honestly really disappointed with my experience at Sushi Miguel. We went in for the all-you-can-eat option, ordered just two rolls, and after trying them we simply didn't enjoy the food. Because of that, we decided not to order anything else and leave. What was frustrating is that we were charged extra for the leftover pieces we didn't eat -- even though that was literally all we ordered. I understand restaurants want to prevent waste, but charging customers after they barely ordered and didn't continue the AYCE experience feels unreasonable and left a bad impression. Hopefully management can be more transparent about this policy upfront so customers aren't surprised at the end of their meal. read more

Came here for CSU SB orient day before cuz I saw it had "good reviews" ..Service was good , ordered the crunch roll w/ scream cheese , spider roll, n dragon. Seems like waitress didn't get the part when I said crunch w/ cream cheese added. However I request to the guy who brought it out and he corrected it, I apologized for the confusion I guess. He was very polite about it and didn't seem to mind to make to correct which was good and made me happy. Avoid spider too skimp on portion proteins, too much rice and filler all straight cut. It was the worst spider roll I had on my life. And I try every sushi spot I come across almost. The soft shell crab was about paper thin as a shrimps crunchy tail without the meat. Crunch was not that crunchy , but taste wise Dragon and crunch were decent but Don't get the buffet $ 37 USD.. and you will get over charged if you don't finish one roll.. I wish the worker explained the buffet rules system on not finishing food result to being charge fines . Extremely hard to get money worth when they skimp with rice..Ambience is more like a fast food joint than a sushi spot but food was okay. It looks like the inside of a Subway that was remodeled slightly for this restaurant. Not horrible taste wise it's just edible somewhat depends on the what you order, I've had worse but please avoid the buffet unless you plan to eat till u feel sick on OVERLOADED rice and paper thin proteins such as soft shell situation explained. I had a good time until they mentioned they would charge me for the left over when there was about one half roll left , she mentioned it was about charged for half a roll. Then my parents flipped out about being over charged. Sushi Miguel's is located in Colton. There is limited parking spots to the east and west of the building. This spot gets extremely busy so be prepared for a wait during peak times. Inside you'll find all low top tables/booths and a small bar top section. We have been coming for years because we discovered being able to order our sushi "Miguel's style" (adds pickled onion, chili oil and spicy ponzu sauce). It creates a fusion food that is full of flavor and really gives it that California flair ! Service is always friendly but can be a bit slow due to how busy it gets so try to get your order in all at once each time (food, refills, napkins, anything extra needed). The food is overpriced as all sushi is but to an extreme level considering what is available from other establishments. This was our first time trying fusion sushi, highly recommended by friends, and we really enjoyed it! They have AYCE, which is a minimum of two roll dishes I believe. I didn't get it, but the rest of our party did. I tried one of the deep fried sushi rolls called "Hot Night". It was so good! My bf had the Tiger Roll and some others, all looked really good. It just so happened 2 people recommended this place to be over the weekend. So I stopped by to grab dinner quickly. Had the Miguels Amazon Roll and it was delicious! It has a spicy twist with the chilli oil. I also wanted a fresh roll with albacore so we also ordered the Jalapeño roll it was so delicious and spicy. The service was quick and welcoming. This place seems to be popular based on how busy it was close to closing time. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other things! read more

So to start out, this is one of those Ayce places that tries to fill you up with rice. They pack it tight and it is a bit disappointing. Eel nigiri: the texture and flavor is great! And they properly char it. The only problem is that they glob a bunch of the eel sauce on it. Not sure why they do that. Yellow tail and salmon hand rolls: omg these were amazing. Plenty of fish in these, and they even come with mitsuba (a peppery Japanese green), which is very impressive and you don't see much of. Octopus nigiri: nice texture and it comes with a thin slice of lemon on top which was surprisingly nice. Overall, it was clean, tasted good, and service was fast. Wasn't busy on the Friday night I went, around 6pm. Staff wasn't the friendliest, but they weren't rude so no complaints there. A waitress did drop chopsticks (unopened) and put them back with the others, so just a note for those concerned about that sort of thing. Main reasons I won't be back is the way they try to fill you up with rice by packing the rice together and making the texture unpleasant, and the other reason is lack of options on Ayce menu. Is this a mexican restaurant as the outer restaurant was marketing menudo! Thats not Sushi Miguel; park & you will find it located between the Mexican restaurant and Subway. It was one door & the cashier is located right near so it gets crowded. They have a long table to wait for seating. We were seated and it took a bit to get our rolls. We opted not to do the AYCE as we usually just get 2 rolls each. I ordered the tiger, fire, jalapeno & another roll. I have to say they were ok but with the soy sauce & wasabi it made them tastier. The rolls were thinly sliced and not very compact so it fell apart as you dipped them. I had requested spicy mayo but it never made it to the table. The two sister waitresses were busy running around which is good but they need more floor help while they took phone orders and cashing people out also. I am not sure I would return but nothing negative just not the beat sushi I tasted. I do give them a half star for having reasonable roll prices. The soda at 4.25 not so much. I called to place a phone order at 5:56pm to which they confirmed the order and told me it'd be ready in 20 minutes. The main reason people do phone orders is because they plan to pickup and GO, not pickup and wait. I show up a little before 6:30 only for the guy at the front to make me feel dumb, he asks me if i'm sure i ordered here(which i did because i've ordered here before) then he says he can't find my order. I even show him the call time. He goes and gets another girl who also can't find it and questions me like im the idiot!! I had to show her I had a conversation because she wouldn't believe me either!!! Finally she goes to the back and comes back and says the girl who took my order left and that they found it. She never clarified she found it but that it wasn't ready. So I assumed it was ready and paid only to find out it was NOT ready and I'd have to wait even more time! The time was now 6:46! I had waited over 15 minutes for them to "find" my order, and then I wasn't even told I'd have to wait for them to make it!! I asked if I could cancel it and they send some random lady I hadn't spoken to to come up and talk to me. I expressed my frustration and not a single attempt to make it better, she just said "they're new" and asked me if i'd like to cancel the order entirely! I cancelled it because WTF, and also how is it even possible that they couldn't even try to give me the food as courtesy after all the mess they caused. NEVER AGAIN. Ain't gonna lie never had Mexican sushi since it just didn't sit right with me. I believe that was due to my skepticism of hot Cheetos on top of a roll. This place tho changed my outlook on paisa sushi. I was surprised on how fresh and well prepared their sushi was. My friend told me we got to have it Miguel's style well shit it blew my mind. This place is very hidden since it is in the middle of two other restaurants. It is a very intimate place and had heard a lot of good things about it so needed to try it out for myself. I tried their Popcorn Lobster Roll which was personally my favorite and also tried their salmon on fire roll which was good as well but popcorn lobster definitely won my stomach over. They did also have other food options such as noodles and soups but very minimal since their main specialty is sushi. We went during a later time which was not busy and we got seated right away. Servers were very attentive and very helpful in all our questions. The ambience was moderate, a bit of music and hearing other families having conversations. For Christmas I got a $75 gift card so I decided to use it yesterday. When we arrived there weren't very many people there and we were seated right away. The waitress gave us menus and then asked if we wanted to do AYCE. It was $30 per person. When the AYCE menu came, it was tiny compared to the original provided. That was disappointing! We placed our order and waited about 10 mins for our first round that we got Miguel's style. Everything came out with chili oil and random fried white onions. The sushi tasted decent with the chili oil on top, but I don't think it helped enhance the flavor. The rest of the rolls came out and they were okay. For the second round we ordered more sushi, but this time no Miguel's style. Big mistake! The fish tasted fishy and the shrimp was chewy. The Miguel's style hid this. The roll we ordered was supposed to have wasabi on top, but it was simply mayonnaise. Who eats mayo like that?! Also the michelada came out super watered down and was not worth $9.50. The whole meal was not worth $75.48. Never again. At least it was a gift. read more

I usually do not write review for any restauran. But this time I wanted to give you my story about Miguel's sushi. My kids and I know this place for more than 10 years and the food is great clean and the staff always very professionals. About a week ago I went there with my daughter and I have left my sunglasses at the sushi bar after almost a week gone. I realized that I left my sunglasses there so today I went to Miguel place and I asked if by any chance they find my Sunglasses at the bar the waitress was so kind and went to ask the Manager which I believe is Miguel the owner he saw me I where I was sitting with my daughter and I saw him reach out to one of the top shelf behind him and grabbed my sunglasses and give it to me yes, they haveput them away. I say thank you to them for keeping them safe. this is the kind and honest place Miguel sushi restaurant is. I recommend this place not just because of my Sunglasses but also because of the food also and not just at this location but I've been in three of them and I am sure they're all the same. After COVID hit, you'd be hard pressed to find AYCE sushi under $30, ESPECIALLY FOR DINNER. Completely unheard of in the 626 area. My mind was blown after finding out about Sushi Miguel's Style. So happy that I got a chance to try this place. With this in mind, it's understandable that it was super crowded and busy on a Friday night. However, since it was the 2 of us, we were seated and waited at the bar almost immediately after asking. HUGE BONUS was that we just had to hand our order form to the chef in front of us. So it kinda was also a dinner and a show! Unfortunately, there's no less rice option or half orders here and my only qualm is that the rice to fish ratio is pretty high. The nigiri had about a thumb's worth of rice, so it can really fill you up. Nigiri is 2 pieces each and rolls had many, many pieces. You have a limit of 5 different order items per round and this makes sense to cut down on food waste. We got the: 1) Calamari Tempura: -Not chewy at all and came with its own dipping sauce. Alright overall, I don't think I'd get this again. 2) Stuffed Jalapenos (4 pieces): -The pieces are small enough to make this worth getting. -Drizzled in eel and yum yum sauce and stuffed with artificial crab, can't go wrong here. 3) Crab Tostadas (2 pieces): -2 tostada pieces with huge ice cream like scoops of artificial spicy crab. Indulgent and yummy, I'd get this again. -I don't know if there's a different version of this since ours was just the scoops but I saw other tostadas with sauce and sliced onions, I would want to try this version! 4) Nigiri Sushi: -We got the tuna, salmon, unagi (eel), ono, yellowtail, albacore, tako (octopus), and smelt roe. -All of the fish was super fresh, loved the fatty richness of the salmon and the ono. These were definitely our favs. -The octopus nigiri came with a slice of lemon and wasn't too chewy. -I'd pass on the smelt roe and I wish the eel wasn't so extremely drenched in unagi sauce, it made it simultaneously bitter like traditional medicine and too sweet as an after taste. 5) Green Mussels (2 pieces): -Baked mussels along with artificial crab, like the jalapeno poppers with yum yum and eel sauce. Can't go wrong with this either. 6) Miguel's Style Roll (10 pieces): -Gratuitous amount of imitation crab, and has a nice kick with the sriracha and chili oil. Having a bit of tuna was a nice touch too. -The cucumber and sprouts added a crunch of texture to this roll. -I enjoyed it, but at 10 pieces and for our first round, it definitely was pretty heavy. 7) Acapulco Roll (8 pieces): -Once again, huge fan of the chili oil and the Miguel style sauce. Made this roll very unique and I enjoyed it. -The mix of seafood is tasty and added great texture. Definitely worth getting since it has premium ingredients like lobster and octopus. -I'd get this again! 8) Fried Gyoza (4 pieces): -No different than what you can get anywhere else, not bad, but I'd skip this. We sorta over ordered on the nigiri and the amount of pieces per roll was pretty high so we got full quickly, but we managed to hit 3 rounds! A personal success in my book. I'd drop by again to try more of the menu, especially at this price. read more

Located on Valley Blvd. Plenty of parking available. We came at night and there was a homeless guy in front humbling to himself, so my son made sure that he was in between him and us. My family was craving for sushi , so we found this place nearby. We were immediately seated because the place wasn't crowded. Our server was friendly and we ordered water while we looked over the menu. We ordered the edamame (soy beans), two salmon rolls and one baked salmon. We didn't have to wait too long for our meal to be served. The salmon tasted delicious! Total price for the meal was a little over $50. Overall experience here was good. Ambiance was relaxing, decor inside appealing and food was filling. Server was friendly so we gave him a nice tip. read more
