I had the shrimp tempura roll and the spicy crawfish roll and they were both packed with flavor! I'm only giving 4 stars because of the rice. I found it was a little on the crunchy side instead of being soft and sticky. But other than that it was great. read more

I had been waiting forever for this place to open and was disappointed by reviews that suggested to get sushi elsewhere. Came here the other day and loved it! The atmosphere is fun with the rock n roll theme. The crab wontons were amazing with their homemade cream cheese jalapeño filling. We also had the spider roll, Sammy Hagar roll and another roll that were all good. We subbed cream cheese for the cucumber in the Johnny cash ring of fire roll and had it deep fried...I could have eaten 5 of those rolls. Prices were a little high and we were still a little hungry. Sushi was great but it was so noisy. Not noisy in a bad way but more than I am use to when I get sushi. I may try it again during the day and not on a Saturday. Love the rock and roll theme and the menu is loaded with lots of rock and roll names. It's a cool place o hang with friends. It was more me and what I was looking for and not the restaurant. I'm giving three stars for the food. I had beef tataki and egg rolls for appetizer. The beef tataki was cooked almost well done which is odd for me because beef tataki is supposed to be sear(but i understand they're probably going for a different taste). I also had three of the sushi rolls which tasted mediocre. The atmosphere is cool and different but the food is okay. Restaurant still new so give It time. My favorite sushi restaurant in Slidell is still Sogo but I haven't tried all the sushi places in Slidell. read more

I am so impressed with this place. I have restrictions and cannot eat rice, but I love sushi. They can wrap any roll in cucumber. I will definitely be back. Also, our server, Karissa, was amazing. I had purchased a discount book for our area and Rock n Roll sushi was included ~ 4 coupons!!. I was so excited!! I had called to be certain that the coupon would be accepted before I began our way over. The employee had assured me that it was fine and would be eligible for "buy one, get one free" just as the coupon stated. Upon paying for our meal, I was told that the employee was incorrect and the coupon was NOT going to be honored. After they called the owner of this franchise (we had to wait for about 30 minutes... a picture of my coupon was taken by employee and texted to owner.... then she had to look at it and decide what to do. I was eventually told that they would honor the coupon. Two months later, we were going to return to R & R Sushi. I again called the restaurant to be certain that it would be accepted. ( I didn't want a repeat of the last problem.) They told me that there was confusion with the coupon and so many customers were coming in with it, that they decided to honor them without any problems. So, we get there and go to pay. I give the girl (blue hair) the coupon. She puts info in the register and tells me my total is over $70! This was lunch for 3 people..... I asked her if she took the coupon off and she got VERY upset with me, explaining that whoever I spoke to on the phone when I made my order was incorrect when I asked if the {"buy one, get one free" lunch (as it says on the coupon) was actually for a free lunch. She said that I just can't "choose" what i wanted for free. She said "You are not getting a free LUNCH ~ you are getting a free side order of california rolls because that is the least expensive item that you ordered". I tried to explain that the coupon clearly stated it was for a "LUNCH" not a side. Long story short. She got very upset with me... I left a tip in her tip jar and told her that I was sorry, but I was not going to pay for the order and I left. I assume my order was thrown away. What a waste. I will NEVER eat at this establishment again. It is very over priced but the coupon would make the prices reasonable. They really need to be better with customer service. This place has the opportunity for greatness. We've waited a long time to dine here. We finally got a chance to stop by and check it out. It still has the feel of newness. The waitresses were amazing! The customer service was superb. I enjoyed the atmosphere. The rolls were okay and I've had better. We will definitely be back after the newness wears off. The girls behind the bar did their best to hold the show together despite numerous customers harassing them for things completely out of their control. Savanah was an absolute legend! Will absolutely never be back again. Their salmon roll on the menu listed that it was covered with sauces, which I didn't want. So I asked the server if I could just get a basic salmon avocado roll, which she said they could do. But then it came covered in sauces. So I explained that I literally meant just a salmon avocado roll, no sauces. An easy mistake/misunderstanding considering their normal salmon roll comes with sauces. I wasn't mad about that. So she took the roll back and I could tell the person preparing the sushi was annoyed. About 10 minutes later she comes back with what looks like a basic salmon avocado roll. I did notice it looked a little messy, but I attributed that to it being a rushed order. But I take a bite and it is filled with wasabi. I tried another piece in case there was just a little wasabi that got on the piece from the scoop on the side of the plate. But it was also filled with wasabi. It was inedible. I brought it straight to the register and told her that it was filled with wasabi. At that point, I told her I did not want another roll and to take it off of the check. I also told her that avocado and wasabi do not look similar, that's not an easy or common mistake to make. And I said it felt like my food was being tampered with in retaliation for sending it back. She made no attempt to deny this and said she would take it off the check, which she did. Any restaurant that will tamper with your food because they're annoyed about a misunderstanding over an order is not one that deserves my business. read more

On Friday, July 3, I went to Rock N Roll Sushi for my first time. I was with my family, a total of four of us. We were seated and waited 15 minutes with no sign of a waitress or even a glass of water. After the 15 minutes, two couples (separate parties) walked in and both were seated. Immediately after seating them, a waitress went to the first couple and took their order. We had been not only waiting but voicing to the waitstaff how we had not been served with even a glass of water. We will never attempt to eat there again. read more

Had an unfortunate experience when I got takeout here. Called and heard the order would be prepared in 15 minutes. I got there in 15 minutes and was told the order was not ready. There was a line of people also waiting for their takeout and they weren't happy. I took that as a hint to be patient and wait. After about 40 minutes waiting, the people who were there before me were mostly gone. I noticed the employees were good about seeing the person who's order it was and bringing it over to them. They did that with the people in front of me. After an hour though I decided to ask someone at the desk about my order. I hate doing that, I don't want to seem impatient. But turns out it had been sitting on the counter... they never called my name. I let them know I had waited an hour and they said "Sorry" and handed me the bag. I got home and the axl roll was cold, and the crab wontons were cold. It was really disappointing after waiting for so long to have sub-par food. Super hidden away, I only heard about it from a friend of a friend, but it's some of the best sushi I've ever had!! You really can't go wrong with anything you order, the crab wontons are my new favorite thing!! I went back 2 weeks later and tried more rolls. I was in the area on vacation. I LOVE sushi! I'm from California so I take my sushi seriously. I loved the atmosphere and the vibe of the restaurant. My friends and I really liked the look of the menu as well. The offerings where different which excited us. We ordered 2 rolls each. We got an appetizer and one of my girls got miso soup. I also ordered fried rice. When I tell you EACH roll was delicious. The appetizer we got was good as well. My friend enjoyed her soup. The only down side was the rice, but that was it. Little to no pride in the food. After waiting to be sat and being told they were only using booths, they sat the next people that walked in at the table next to us. Then after we ordered drinks, they informed us they were out of tuna. How can a sushi restaurant be out of their main ingredient?
