The initial greeting was prompt and on time -- no waiting around, which is always a huge plus in my book (a major dissatisfier for customers when dining at restaurants). The salad and breadsticks were fresh, with the salad crisp and cold, just how it should be. Our meals -- the Tour of Italy and the spaghetti with meatballs -- came out quickly, hot, and were both very good and consistent with what you expect from Olive Garden. The service stood out: fast, attentive, and friendly throughout our meal. The ambiance was typical for the chain, comfortable and welcoming. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which says a lot about how the restaurant is managed. Overall, this visit was smooth and enjoyable from beginning to end. I've eaten at this Olive Garden A-LOT, like A-LOT, A-LOT and I have to say, this is hands down the best Olive Garden I'm aware exists. The salad is ALWAYS fresh, the service is quick, kind, and homely, and the food is perfect EVERY TIME. I always get a salad, calamari or shrimp fritto misto for an appetizer, and the chicken and shrimp carbonara. This is a comforting combo that will leave you satisfied and happy. I have never been one to complain or leave a review, but this was the worst experience I have ever had. I sat at my table for 11 minutes before a server came to ask for drinks, but it was not even our server! Our server was Sonia, but Cameron took care of us along with 3 other tables that Sonia did not greet. He had to go inform her several different times that she had been sat. When she finally did come she was rude & seemed frustrated that we wanted never ending soup and 2 entrees. We finally got our soup, salad, bread, and drinks, 15 mins later, we ate them. They proceeded to stay empty until moments later when I flagged her down. She asked if we needed refills on salad. YES! yes we did! but we also needed more bread, more drink and more soup! I could see her in the corner, before entering the kitchen, just standing around, maybe on her phone? I even asked other servers if she was okay and was just having personal issues, because I really just wanted to reason and justify her lack of service. I went to this Olive Garden last Saturday evening. Our order was brought out when we received our salad. I asked why they did that, the server just said he didn't know. The restaurant was very clean. Everyone was welcoming. The food was amazing. but what really made our night tonight in Slidell, Louisiana was our waitress Rachel. She greeted us quickly and asked how our night was as most do, but she was so personable. We have a child who is easily startled, so she made sure to approach our table softly and in front of our child's view each time to make sure he noticed her before she spoke. She went above and beyond to check in with us a few moments after our food arrived to ask how everything tasted. We never needed to ask for a refill on our drinks, and when we got chatty, she happily joined in as we asked her questions. She never made us feel like a bother. And when she did need to check on a table that had sat down, she was extremely polite about her exit. We have never had service like we did tonight, and look forward to visiting again soon. read more

Took my daughter with her new baby and 4 young children (14,8,4,2) for a special lunch. We ordered two $10 appetizers, two lunch fettuccines Alfredo's with soup and two unending soup and salads ($60 in at this point) we always drink water with the little kids if they have anything else they don't eat. I asked for a few extra plates so the kids could share the fettuccine. The waiter started shaking his head and says you can't share the unending salad and soup I ordered $10 worth of food for everyone at the table except the 4&2 year olds and they were all sharing the fettuccine. totally uncalled for especially since I was in no way taking advantage. Guess he was having a bad day. I still tipped 20% and spoke with him about how uncomfortable he made me feel like he was policing my little family... such a bummer. I'll start with this is mine and my husbands first "date night" out in over two months with all the chaos in the world and was slightly on the side of ordering to go or actually taking the being sociable again step. Anyhow to make this short and sweet, we ordered the unlimited soup salad and breadsticks and pasta which tasted amazing but our server Bradley was phenomenal! (Sorry Bradley you will probably be stuck on serving shifts the rest of your life ) literally have never experienced such genuine, friendly,persistent service at any restaurant. Me and my husband noticed Bradley had a few other tables staying busy but still made it a point to sit down and chat for a moment with us making us feel very welcome! We will be back! Before I dined here I looked up reviews and some of them were pushing me away from eating here. But. I came and ate anyway. And I was not disappointed. I had the meatball pizza bowl with unlimited soup ( gnocchi ) and salad. Which was so delicious. Our waiter was the best we've had in a while. Always checked on us and made sure our drinks and my soup stayed full. Which was a must. Lol. Was also able to get some to take home. Now. The only reason why they didn't get 5 stars was because the foul smell when you walk in the front door. Almost like a porta potty smell. Decided after a horrible few days to sneak away with my husband and kids to get lunch. We waited approximately 5 1/2 minutes for our server to come To the table (she only had 1 other table) and she was curt. I ordered my kids food they the electronic device as she walked up to take my husband and my order. Theirs came as well as mine but my husbands food did not come until after the rest of us had already finished and I had to ask about it. We had to chase her down for a knife as she cleared his away already so he could not eat. She came back to the table And others before an additional 4-6 minutes finally brining his knife. His food was cold at this point and he just simply asked for a box. We had to again chase her down to get a bag for the breadsticks and was not able to get a refill or any drinks to go. She kept disappearing although she never had move that 3 tables total. (Our 4 top, a 2 top, and a 1 top) I don't frequent this restaurant often and service like this is exactly why. We were able to sample menus from: Pueblo, Colorado store San; Antonio, Texas; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Slidell, Louisiana and each one was as delicious as the next!!! Truly. I will start off with: PLEASE AVOID THIS LOCATION!!!! Visiting with a large group (8) everyone suggested that we go here. I can say I am a slight fan of Olive Garden because my ex-husband used to go to Olive Garden ALL OF THE TIME, so I was burnt out. However, this had to be the worst Olive Garden I have EVER been to. It was about 8:30 when we got there and the restaurant wasn't that busy. We were a bit surprised that we didn't get our bread when our drinks came out. The "new" manager told us that the bread isn't complimentary and we would have to order something in order to get the bread. She actually compared it to chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Sooooo all of these years, this place have been doing the WRONG thing by giving out bread? Hummmm! I digress! We all placed our orders and all ordered salad with our meal. Only one bowl of salad was brought to the table for eight people to share. After the salad was gone, then the bread arrived. Yes, that is correct AFTER the salad was eaten. The bread was barely baked, they tasted raw; no garlic or butter to be found on them. When the food arrived, everyone reached for the salt. The food seemed to be very bland tasting. I have never had to add salt to my meal there. I was the only person to order the soup and salad (I am disappointed that I didn't take a picture of that damn bowl). The bowl that was served was a plate with a dip in it; that wasn't a bowl. I am not exaggerating, I had about 8 spoons full of soup in that "bowl". We waited and waited for our server to come back and forth to the table to either bring salad, bowls of soup, refill water, you name it; and she completely disappeared when it was time to get checks. Remember I said it wasn't busy, so where in the hell or what was she doing??? If you can avoid going to this location, do so! read more

It was not at all busy and we were seated quickly. The girl that served us was a waste of space lazy cow. First I asked "is the Riesling German?" she said " I don't know" and then just stared at me. I was thinking that maybe I should just google it but no I asked her to go find out. 10 minutes later she comes back and says "no it's not" Very insightful!!! Retard! My Husband and I just LOVE the Olive Garden, however this location was by far the worst. We arrived around 5PM so the place was just about empty. Which was nice for a change. The hostess seated us in a nice cozy booth toward the back and asked if we was celebrating anything special. We told her yes, our anniversary. She said she would let our waiter know. Not sure why she would let him know because he sure never said anything. I had been seeing and drooling over the commercials about build your own lasagna which was outside my normal dish. It was awful! The sauce didn't pair with the cheese at all and the shrimp was bland. The bottom of my lasagna was burnt to a crisp and my husband dish came out hard and over cooked. As we're eating they sit a family with 4 little kids right behind us in an empty building! Really??? The waiter was slow and not really helpful before ordering our food. Typically I go crazy over Olive Garden, but when I visited this one I was not at all impressed. The food was more bland than it is supposed to be (we ordered our usual steak gorgonzola, shrimp mezaluna, and peach mescato chicken). We were also skimped pretty bad on the sauce. We were just going to pay the bill and find a different Italian place in town to frequent. When it was time to go our waitress asked if we liked everything, so we politely told her that it wasn't really up to the Olive Garden standards that we are used to. A few minutes alter a manager came out and asjed us about our meal. We told him the samevand he comped about a third of our bill. Can I give negative stars? I'd like to!! What a HORRIBLE experience and will NEVER return!! We were visiting for my son's 10th birthday on May 25th 2019, as he loves the bread sticks and games at the table. I called the restaurant 40 minutes ahead of time to do the "call ahead seating" for our party of 8. When we arrived, it was a slower night, and no one was waiting.... expect for us.... we waited and waited and waited to be sat in the half empty restaurant. We were finally sat, and we met the MOST HORRIBLE, RUDEST, MOST UNPROFESSIONAL server I've ever had in my life. She never introduced herself and barely spoke to us. She walked up and said, "What can I get y'all to drink?" as we each stated our drink, she wouldn't even speak... she would just look down and write and then look back up at the next person. No interaction with us at all.... it was just odd. I've never had a server do this before. She then took our appetizer order, which consisted of about 4 to 5 apps which she wrote down on her pad. She then walked over to my son, who was playing on the game tablet (the tablet that we have to pay to play on,) and proceeded to take it from him and say, "I need this for a second." I asked her what she was doing, and she tells me that "They want us to encourage customers to use the pads to order." Okay.... but why didn't she tell us that instead of taking the time to take our order and write it down AND the way she snatched the pad from my son was downright RUDE. We waited FOREVER to receive our drinks and for her to return to take our entree order. We waited 45 minutes for our food. She also never once picked up any plates when we were done with the appetizers, soups and salads... the dirty plates stayed on our table throughout our entire meal. When our food finally came, she stood at the end of the table (with our food on large serving trays placed on tray stands) "I have two chicken Alfredo's, meatballs, and chicken parm ... who wants cheese?" I've NEVER had a server do this. I've always gotten my meal placed in front of me and then the server walks around from person to person to dish out the cheese. Again, it was odd. Then she started to pass the plates down, she did not want to be bothered with walking over to each person to give them their food. Mind you, we were in the separate larger party room in the back of the restaurant, which has ample room for the server to maneuver around the table... she also had NO problem maneuvering around the table to get the tablet from my son earlier. Well, it probably wouldn't have been a big deal, except the plates were STEAMING HOT! Two people in our party burned their hands passing the HOT plate. She gave no one warning of the hot plates and they were nearly spilled because their hands were burning. She placed another person's plate NEAR them, but not in front of the person. So, when he moved the plate to be in-front of himself he also burned his hands. She, again, gave no warning of the plate being HOT. So how long did our plates sit under heating lamps in the back that ALL the plates were this hot to the touch? Also, we had ordered extra sides of Alfredo sauce, none of which made it to our table. We were so cramped on our table between the entree plates and all the dirty plates from soups, salads and appetizers.... the dirty dishes were piled up 5 and 6 plates high. She then came over and offered my son a birthday dessert "on the house." He picked his dessert and she walked over to the tablet on our table (which I was playing on with my son) and without saying one word, reached over me and started trying to use it. I asked her, "I'm sorry, do you need this?" ... to which she replied "I'm ordering your dessert." I just couldn't believe how rude this server was. When we got the bill, she charged us for the dessert!!! At one point as she was passing by, we tried to flag her down to ask for to-go boxes, she kept walking and stuck her thumb up in the air while her back was to us, no words...just a thumb. She didn't even have the decency to look at us. We were all just at a loss as to how we were being treated. We were not mean or rude to her at all, so we were perplexed as to why she was being so rude and terrible to us. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT THIS OLIVE GARDEN. I've been here many times, but I will NEVER be back to this establishment again. EVER!! I wish I could remember the server's name, but I can't. Our bill ended up being a three-way split. One of us left her 5% and another left her 1 cent ... and honestly, she didn't even deserve that. read more
