We had a clogged kitchen sink and a bad leakfrom trying to fix it ourselves. Rock-o-Rooter responded to our inquiry right away and gave us an appointment for that afternoon. Just in case you're not into reading long reviews. Here's the quick version. Hire Rock-O-Rooter (ROR) for any and all plumbing jobs...big or small...you will not regret your decision. Roscoe and his team deliver way beyond expectations! Now for the long version. My downstairs toilet backed up and overflowed late Thursday (7/30/20) night. I called and left 3 messages for my regular plumber...who advertises 24/7/365 service...long story short...it Saturday 8/8/20...and no call back yet. Anywho...their loss my gain...I found Roscoe at ROR by searching Yelp. His past reviews sounded exactly like the kind of service and experience I was looking for. Called Roscoe first thing Friday 7/31/20 morning...he picked up...I described my issue...he said he would be at my house that same day by 2pm. He was here just before 2pm as promised...mask on...professional, polite, answered all my questions, and was ready to work. Roscoe recommended 2 options and prices...we picked the option that we felt was best (by the way...both options were extremely reasonably priced)...he got straight to work. Fast forward...about 4 hours later...for what should have been a 1 hour job...our issue was not fixed...and Roscoe had used both options plus had to remove our toilet...of course that added to the cost...but very little for the time and effort spent. Bottom line...our simple clog was not so simple...we had a potentially major problem with our main sewer line deep under ground in our yard...anyway that was Roscoe's suspicion...and it looked like it on the camera he sent down the line. He said he wanted to come back on Sunday 8/2/20 to scope it again with a 2nd plumber and make sure he was seeing the situation correctly and pinpoint the exact location of the problem. On Sunday he and his friend showed up on time...did their thing for about an hour...confirmed his suspicions and the location of the problem. His recommendation was to dig up the old pipe and replace the broken section of about 7 or 8 feet. By the way he didn't charge for this 2nd visit. Roscoe said to give him a day to figure out a final cost...since he had to call a 2nd company to do the digging part. About 2 or 3 hours later he called back and had an quote for me...it was steep...but when I thought about it...it was actually pretty low for the amount of work involved and heavy machinery to be used. Compared to other work I've had done by carpenters and electricians...this was a bargain... plus we would be able to use our toilets and shower again. He said he could get a crew together for Sunday 8/8/20 at 8am. Fast forward again...at 7:45am on Sunday...today...Roscoe and his crew were ready to go...this time he brought his dad along to do the actual job...he's a plumber too. The crew quickly got started...before you know it they were about 6 feet down...and ready to fix the problem. We had a totally broken line...its a miracle we didn't have issues months...or years ago...it was a pretty severe break. The team got to work fixing the section of broken pipe...they even improved the section before it with 2 new cleanouts...totally modernizing the line. Before you know it...they were done...trench refilled with dirt...and they started the clean up process. Of course you can only imagine how muddy everything was...since it's been raining nonstop since hurricane Douglas. Roscoe's crew did the best they could to clean up...and things look much much better than we expected. So we're hoping to never ever need Roscoe again for such a huge job...but we can sleep tonight knowing he's there just in case we do. Hire Roscoe...you will be 100% happy you did!!! Let me just say that Roscoe has been amazing to work with. We are currently going through a major bad tenant issue, and the Covid-19 situation is making it so much worse. Long story short, our tenant clogged his toilet, tub and sink (badly), and then uncoiled and shoved the metal showerhead hose into the drain to try to unclog things! So not only did that not unclog anything, but he got that stuck as well. I called Roscoe and he was able to go over at the end of the day to clear all the clogs and got the showerhead hose situation cleared out. I hired them about 6-9 months ago to assist with a sink that was draining slowing in a bathroom that is almost never used and repeatably has tree root issues due to a large tree thats right where the pipe exits the house. They came out and partially resolved the problem however did not charge . I overheard them talking and the young kid helping the business owner seemed like he fucked up based on his mannerism and the owner was trying to do his best to not have the kid say something I would overhear. The kid was working the machine and it was really torquing making a lot of noise and then all of a sudden it sounded like something snapped and then the snake unwound and it came out. The kid was acting super weird then and they went quite. They both tried to slip out the back door and I could tell something was weird when I walked in on them and they seemed skittish like a kid that got caught doing something they shouldn't have, I could hear they were whispering about something like they were hiding something which is why I started listening in and the owner said something like "I think I can hear it in there, this isn't good, go back to the van ill meet you out there in a minute". On the way out I noticed the end of the snake on their machine was broken off but I didn't think anything of it at the time because I assumed they had interchangeable tips but it clearly looked broken.. This sink is barely ever used so I didn't really care if it was slow to drain... however I just opened the check up where they were working and found a piece of a broken drain snake that was rusted but was the the entire thing. This wasn't from us as mine is still fully intact. It was about 10 feet from the sink they were working on and there is more because it was a partial section and not the end. What they must have done is broke off the their snake by over torquing it and left it inside the drain! That explains their skittishness and trying to sneak out the back door and also explains the empty tip on their machine when he was caring it out and the noise followed by nervousness. These were the only guys I hired so it was definently there's. They screwed up and rather then fess up tried to cover it up. read more

Our toilet was backed up and it also backed up into our shower. He was able to clear it up.
