Set among the Smith Rock State Park and monkey face rock sits this impressive ranch/development. It's a private gated community that boasts gorgeous views of Oregon's high desert combined with magnificent Tuscan style homes. The scenery here is one of a kind and it only got better as the sun began to set, colors changing and shadows enhancing the views and landscape. The wedding was held outside at "the stables", a rustic looking building with a small fountain out front and endless views of amazing, pristine natural beauty. I really enjoyed the architecture that's subtly dotted through out the community. The lot sizes are spacious and each home is so unique...no cookie cutter track homes here, lol! As if that weren't enough, there's plenty of ponds, lakes and rivers to fish... My dad pulled 14 fish in less than and hour w my kids! Needles to say they had a blast, EPIC! There's endless trails to hike in the area, both by foot or by horse. If you're looking for a wedding venue, this was an amazingly special locale. We felt blessed to be able to share such a special day with family in such a beautiful place. Props!

From the grounds (which are exquisite) to the service (unbeatable) - it was truly a weekend to remember. We rented out the entire property and all the cabins. Rachel and her family were there every step of the way- no detail was too small. On the night of our rehearsal, my dress broke. Her husband scavenged the property for 30 minutes to find the safety pins and rig me back together! Our friends never stop talking about this adult camp. It was such a fun way to spend time together. The property is stunning and our pictures look like they're from a magazine. They have great relationships with all the vendors which really helped smooth out the planning. And they always let you come back to say hi and revisit the property. I couldn't recommend a place more. We will certainly be back to visit and rent the cabins for our anniversaries!

The place is perfect for a wedding party. The rooms are large and some have cozy fireplaces. The Great Room had a large fireplace, along with a grand piano. The dinning room and lounge area was warm and relaxing also with a fireplace. Great for conversing and enjoying a delicious meal. They have 3 lodges and 3 cabins. The Main Lodge is immaculate. Speaking of meals, this place has amazing food! Catered to the brides's liking, the appetizers, lunch and dinner was an assortment of fresh green salads, roasted seasonal veggies, crab cakes, wild rice, roasted lamb and chicken skewers, roasted duck, grilled trout, pickled cucumbers and to top if off, continental breakfast was served every morning. This place is a foodie's heaven. If I lived near by, I would eat here once a week just for the homestyle cooked food! Just when we thought the afternoon reception was over, just after 6 PM, they served us the leftovers! I NEVER had this type of experience before! They also cater to special diets, for people like me with sensitive tummies. I felt spoiled and blessed to have had such unbelievable meals catered just for us! I think that the city probably stocks the pond - it was very cute to see kids successfully fishing before the wedding. Because of the amazingly beautiful weather, we were able to have the actual ceremony outside on the shores of the lake - however, even if it had been rainy it would have been lovely to have the wedding indoors in the delightful space. It wouldn't surprise me at all to hear that Aspen Hall was built specifically for weddings. It is a hall that would seat about 150 people fairly comfortably. It has an industrial kitchen and is surrounded on one side by a spacious porch with plenty of tables for sitting, mingling, and hangin'. There was plenty of parking for a smallish wedding but for a larger wedding you might want to consider alternatives. I highly recommend this space to anyone looking for event/wedding space in Bend.

I…read morewas so surprised at the review and I didn't think it was fair that they had such a low rating based on a single review and I wanted to even out the playing field. I have not been to the pumpkin patch, so I can't speak to that. My relationship with DD Ranch has been as a buyer of grass fed local meats. I have been purchasing from them directly on their website and found them to be very responsive and professional. I picked them after I went to Locavore and tried a steak from every grass fed vendor to figure out where we wanted to buy our meats. I think their beef is delicious and well packaged in butcher paper for the freezer. I'm so happy they are available for our area and will continue to support them and their family for a wonderful product and excellent customer service. Thank you!

I believe we attended the very first wedding at this location, and everything went smoothly and looked fantastic. They have a very cool looking island with a tree in the middle and an arched wooden bridge to cross to it. This is a great location for all types of photographs for pre, post, and during the wedding. The one I went to had the groom and bride actually get married on the island. There are also plenty of other ranch style photo locations, including hay stacks, an old rusted out pickup truck (very cool), horse stables, and others i'm sure I didn't notice. There is ample parking too: you could easily fit over 50 cars there without issue. Our party tent seated around 50 guests, with about 6 people comfortably seated at each table. Under the event tent, they also had a DJ with a wooden dance floor to keep the party going. The dance floor was just big enough to fit everyone that wanted to dance, without making it look sparse. At the end of the night, we finished off by the fire pit for a night cap and to reminesce about the day. All in all, it was a great time!

When we arrived, parking was super easy. Cute chalk board style signs directing traffic to a field. The ranch had a large white tent with tables and chair under for the party. A custom built pallet wall and dance floor completed the ranch wedding vibe that my friend was looking for. Coral and tan burlap lay on top of the white table cloths. Wood round rings carefully placed under each vase of flowers. Before the wedding we got ready in a bridal room and were able to do hair and makeup photos. It was such a convenient area to get ready and have privacy. Wedding decor in the space and plenty of mirrors to check out every detail! The caterers they worked with did an amazing job on appetizers and dinner! There was a fun smores bar too. The bartenders kept us happy all night long with fun wedding themed cocktails, champagne, wine, beer, and mixed drinks. My friends got married on the pond island in front of 61 family members and friends. The wooden benches completed the look. I loved watching my friend walk from the bridal area to the aisle with her father. A magical experience. The dance floor was definitely broken in! I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for awesome people and a beautiful view of the mountains.
