Alexander was one of them which my neighbor recently hired to replace her windows. I met four window estimators and Alex from Alexander came across as honest, direct and trustworthy. No sales gimmicks, no rebates, and no pressure. And it turned out Alex gave me the best price. I also liked the fact that they came back without charge and fixed a frame problem that my neighbor was having with her new windows. Four months later, Rosy called to schedule an installation date for my new windows. Two days later, Jose, Carlos and two other crew showed up in two trucks on time to start the installation. The installation team worked seamlessly as a team, they first carefully covered the floor and surrounding to protect my floor and furniture. Then they went to work. From demolition, installation, to clean up, it took less than a day for six windows. They were friendly, efficient, skillful, knowledgeable and professional. Today, I look at my new Marvin windows and I couldn't be happier! Thank you, Alexander company and the entire team that work on this project! I appreciated it!

I…read moreoutlined the scope of the job gathering and researching the following entities before committing dollars to the project: Review CC&R Restrictions and getting HOA approval Identifying restrictions and window standards with the San Francisco Planning Department Identifying a Window Vendor with a bonded and insured Licensed Contractor with favorable reviews in the installation of the windows. I gathered quotes from (4) window companies comparing apples to apples after reading every review. What the other companies did not disclose was the complexity of installing fire rate windows except for Deluxe Window. Felix is not just a salesman but one with decades of knowledge and experience in the field. Felix disclosed that I would need scaffolding to install (3) fire rated windows and that the custom order would take 16 weeks for build. Also, that I would need written permission from my neighbor to add the scaffolds to reach my unit on the fourth floor. I appreciated the honesty with potential road blocks that can be resolved and dealt with early on in the project with open communication. None of the other companies that came out to quote me disclosed this information. Deluxe estimates were in line and comparable. Throughout the project, I was in constant communication with Darja who sent email outlining steps to guide me through the process from billing, materials, deadlines and installation. 16 weeks sounds like a long time to build windows but Fyre Tec windows are quality worth the wait. I also went with Anlin single hung windows for the ease of cleaning and life time warranty transfers. My installation took three days to complete with installer George paying close attention to details in water proofing, sealant, foam installation, caulking and trimming the frames. The City Building Inspector signed off to continue work and the second appointment to get final sign off of the permit went through without a hitch. The project was work but Deluxe Windows and the company's competent staff mentioned above help make this into a successful work in progress to final completion. The Deluxe staff were there to answer every and all of my questions. The windows look fabulous and sound proofing has helped minimize the busy street noise.

It's funny, as they say everything can be realized in comparison, and it's certainly true. I have recently had to change out my HVAC, two AC units, two coils and furnaces... Everything that could have gone wrong with that experience did. They overpromised and underdelivered, with change orders and price that was well above the quote... Over the years, I have done various things for the home, but no other company stood out enough for me to go out of my way to provide an opinion. With Deluxe Windows, the experience felt right from the first call. I went on Google searched for a few places, but liked their website. It was clean, informational, and showed starting prices, which was not the case with many others, leaving you wondering what you are getting yourself into... I called and got Yanek on the phone, who happened to be one of the owners. I loved that I got a person on the phone who knew something about the product and service, rather than getting the "lead farm" experience, where you call and they get your info, and sell it to the highest bidder, often selling it to a service who might have bad reviews and iffy at best. I had explained to Yanek what I was looking for, and within 5 minutes, had received more information about my own patio doors that I was trying to replace, then I had know to date. I had found out that I had Aluminum Doors, (not something I knew of the bat), I had found out that there are numerous manufacturers, but not all produce Aluminum. I had not replaced windows in my home since I had purchased it, which are still in decent shape, but the patio doors, being in high use, gave out over time. Locks and hinges were broken, seals were broken, screens were barely staying on rollers. I needed 6 new doors, but wanted them to match what I currently had. Felix provide me with a couple of brands, right over the phone that I should research, on their site, which I did, which allowed me to be more informed for when he was going to come to my house to measure the doors and provide an estimate. I had scheduled a free in home estimate, which went like a breeze. Felix had arrived on time, and spent 15 minutes measuring the the doors. As it turns out, something I did not really know, most windows and doors do not come in standard sizes and generally are made to order. Next day, I received a written estimate for Milgard Aluminum doors. Milgard is a great brand as I found out after doing research, and I wanted to install something that would have a great warranty and something that would last. I had then called another company and had gotten another Estimate that was a bit higher than that of DW. Of course I had also negotiated a bit with Yanek, and got a bit more of a better deal, and had decided to go with them. Doors were ordered, took couple weeks. Got permits and scheduled the install. The installation guys were super knowledgeable, efficient, and did a great job. One day and all 6 doors were installed. Second day, they did the trim and I was done. All in all, super professional service, highly knowledgeable and great value! Couldn't recommend it more.

In 2025, we decided to replace all the windows and the front door in the front of the house and wanted Marvin windows to match the front of the house. There are many window replacement companies out there that will build and install windows for you. However, we specifically wanted Marvin windows and we wanted to upgrade to the higher end Marvin windows as we had installed them in the back. Mark (the estimator) was very responsive and came out to measure and give us an estimate. We signed the contract and he said that we could expect installation in 3 months. Well, 3 months came and went and it seems our custom made windows from Marvin had some manufacturing issue and were delayed. Ok, so instead of a September installation, we were now we are expecting a December installation. It wasn't a big deal except that I had to restore my living room for Thanksgiving. This delay wasn't Window replacement Center issue, it was an issue with the Marvin manufacturing process. So, why am I giving a 5 star review. The installation was great. Oleg (sp?) was the lead installer and he did a wonderful job. My husband (a real DYI person and a perfectionist) even said that the workmanship was perfect. See attached pictures. They were here multiple days and left the rooms cleaner than when they started. Not a speck of dirt or dust was left. So, they only do new window replacement/installation. Meaning if you want a window where a wall exist, they don't do that. They don't fix existing windows (broken glass, old hardware). Mark did walk my husband through how to get a replacement part on another window were the hardware was rusted. They also don't do painting. You need to either paint it yourself on the inside or hire a painter to do this. Also, most of the installers speak very little English. We didn't find that to be an issue. If I had a question that they couldn't answer, they called Mark right away and we were able to work it out. The installers all came on time and there was even a day that I said they had to be done by 5 as we had a dinner engagement and they left when I wanted. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would hire them again to install any windows.

Great price, fast service. They took the time to make sure our new windows were up to fire code.read more

Minimal repair / painting was required, and now the door is much more durable. But the true "miracle" was replacing a pane of a double paned kitchen window that had been damaged when I had the house power washed and painted in 2007. I thought it would be very complicated, not to mention expensive. Thus, I "let it be" for 14 years. Able's rep. explained what was involved, and I had it done. It's like a whole new setting by my kitchen table out into my backyard. They were efficient, reasonable, and very personable. I recommend them highly!

A Continuing Nightmare - Job Abandonment & Property Damage…read more Able was contracted to replace two windows on our property on the border of Pacifica. The initial contact was a pleasant experience, and the staff (Cynthia, and the owner Alan) were personable. Then, the crew showed up. They broke the stucco on the home, and ripped the protective netting on the windows. They then claimed that the work would cost thousands of dollars more to complete ($20,000), and that the window installation would require the complete re-stuccoing of the homes south facing wall. (This for a job valued at less than $3000, with signed contracts in place). When we indicated that we were unclear as to whether we wanted to re-stucco our entire wall (not something we had contracted for), the crew abandoned the work site, with a damaged window, exposed wood, and exposed porous cement. The images are attached. Prior to the crew abandoning the work site, we could overhear Alan (the owner) on the phone with the foreman confirming knowledge that the porous cement which had been applied to the property was "crap", indicating it's in-effectiveness in protecting the property from damage by the elements. The following day we were informed by the city Building Inspector that Able Window should have competed the job as contracted, and that performing a re-stucco of the wall was IN NO WAY required for installation of the windows. The inspector was fairly candid in their assessment that Able Window seemed to be trying to get more money out of the job. They also noted that the exposed surfaces left by the Able Window crew were not adequate to protect the house from weather, and represented bad workmanship (see images for reference). Able Window refused to fix the damage they caused to the walls and window, without first receiving a complete waiver of any of their liability, for any damage they might have caused. We are now exploring legal action. We're aware that Able Window has a high rating on Yelp, and it is difficult to believe that there aren't many customers who've had similar experiences to ours. Particularly for a company that has been in business for more than a decade, it is difficult to imagine that just 30 would write reviews. Our only explanation is that negative reviews may have been removed by some means. If there are any customers, who have experienced similar issues, please reach out to us. We are open to the possibility of working together, to protect future customers, and exploring joint legal action.
