I typically do not review places just because I'm lazy. This place however deserves ALL of the praise. I found Jess on Instagram and she was so sweet and patient as I asked her many questions (I had never had my hair colored in a salon so I wasn't sure what to expect). As soon as I arrived, I was seated and she began to work. I felt comfortable the entire time. I LOVED my highlights and cant wait to go back again. I had one issue during my visit. I booked online to have a certain stylist cut my hair. Without any explanation I'm put in a chair with a whole different stylist. I would've liked for someone to have explained why I was given someone else or called me ahead of time to tell me there was a situation to see if I'd like to reschedule. Anyway Serena cut my hair. I always ask for a side bang to cover my forehead and I'm always given this little bang that does nothing. She gave me a full side bang that I've been longing for. I was getting an undercut so I was worried she didn't know how to do it and that's why I booked the other stylist as she had experience. I haven't done my hair in 2 years. I decided I wanted to change my hair and started to look for a place that was close to my area. This salon popped up on my search and I was amazed with the color and styles each hairstylist offers. I saw Amanda's Instagram account and was amazed by her work. I contacted her and gave her information on what I wanted to do with my hair and she brought it to life.She used bleach to do my hair and the bleach did not damage my hair at all. I have really dark hair and to see it lift shocked me. I've been getting so many complements on my hair and have recommended friends to go to this salon. Renee and her team are beyond talented! Always recommend the best products just for YOU without that "upselling" feeling. Everytime I go in I'm greeted with smiles and offerings of comfort such as a beverage. Great all around vibe! Years ago I went to Renee with absolute distrust and fear of beauty techs because of my curly hair. Most stylists lack knowledge in how to treat a client with it or maybe they don't want to bother but what ever it was they would always steer me to a straightener of some type and blow dry straight. Renee taught me to really embrace my curls with confidence(because I prefer to wear it curly) by recommending the right products and educating me on how to use them and so on!!! Half of my head was roots and the other half was over-processed color and dead ends that I hadn't trimmed since the pandemic began. During Quarantine when all the salons were closed I started doing my hair myself and although it didn't look terrible it was super damaged. I searched all over the island for vivid color specialists and I found the perfect place here! Everyone is super sweet and I loved the atmosphere. I had Amanda do my hair and she was incredibly sweet and helpful. She spent the whole day doing my hair it was approx 7 hours and I couldn't be more grateful. I absolutely loved the outcome I went from a really faded green to a beautiful pink color, I let Amanda have creative control and she also gave me a beautiful haircut. Amanda did an amazing job with my hair and there was a lot to do! Haircut, color, and balayage... yes, we were together for a long time that day! I just loved this place. It is just so cute, comfortable and just feels homey. It's very unique (so much art to look at while getting your hair done). The staff is super sweet and knowledgeable. I love this place, and my stylist was the amazing Amanda! The atmosphere is eclectic and chill yet professional. Lots of cool decor. Most importantly was the services. I waS greeted by name and asked if I wanted coffee or water. I asked Amanda for some shaping of my hair while I grow it out with SUBTLE HIGHLIGHTS.
