Drip coffee was good, but not great. The triple berry scone was excellent and the espresso scone was also good even though a bit dry.

We were in need of a quick bite being a long day and a lot of walking .. The one place that more often than not comes to our mind in such situation is a bakery .. get a sandwich or quiche or may be a slice of cake with coffee and it keeps you running till you sit down to have a proper meal. Rocket Bakery was near and in a jiffy we were in :) Now there were quite a few vegetarian options which was super .. so we took a quinoa curry salad and it came with a complimentary bagel .. yuhoo .. and Turkish tea cake. Ah, I wrote a review, it was moved to a different location, that was removed, and now this location is back. I guess persistence is key. I finally get to leave a review for a place I really like! (Thanks, no thanks, Yelp?) Without further ado.... This is a welcomed addition to downtown Spokane. I first discovered its second level while cutting through the mall, but their main area is downstairs off Wall Street. Every time I have been the service has been so friendly and upbeat. The art on the walls is really cool, too. It has a good vibe overall. My favorite part about this location, though, is that they have delicious yerba mate. It is especially good with some soy milk over ice in the summer, and it gives me the caffeine fix I need from coffee but with a totally different flavor and the added extra benefits of antioxidants! I totally recommend checking it out. There are a lot of pastries and snack options, too, although I think there is only one vegan option. I would like to see that expanded, but hey - it beats Starbucks! (Ok, we know that isn't hard to do.) Oh, and for the gluten free peeps, they have you covered, too! read more

I picked up a cookie from underneath another cookie and was proceeded to be berated by the worker here who is wearing Star Wars gear and won't tell me her name. She asked me in a nasty tone if I was going to buy both of the cookies I touched and asked me to put my mask up all the way almost by my eyes. She told me she didn't have to serve me if I was going to be rude and all I said was "what did you say". Won't be coming here again which is sad cause I literally live right above it. While at RPS wander over to the east side (near the new STCU/Urban Outfitters). This dual leveled Rocket Bakery is totally worth a visit! I always snag Cold Brew Coffee and their signature chewy Everything Bagels with Sun-Dried Tomato Cream Cheese. Mmm herbs and spices! I'm a total sucker for anything with sun-dried toms, so I haven't tried any other flavored cream cheeses, but they have quite a few options to make the bagel experience more interesting. Not that their bagels need any augmenting, because they are my very favorite. You can tell that they were baked (or boiled, or however you make bagels), very recently! It is important to get them toasted so you have that nice crunch of bread with the warm soft dough. I joined their loyalty club as well based on Yelp reviews I read (And it basically consists of reloading a gift card and you get savings). Updating my review from 5 stars to 1 stars as we have been seriously disappointed by the service lately. So sad, this place was a daily visit for us for a while. 1) The last few times we have ordered, our drinks have been made incorrectly. As someone in the service industry I struggle with this because all that needs done to prevent this is double confirm the order and actually LISTEN or perhaps write down if you can't handle remembering. 2) We have to constantly ask for our drinks as they are straight up forgotten (and made wrong to boot). If you forget a drink, apologize for the delay and potentially offer a free drink next time. 3) Double cup your 8oz extra hot drinks (such as americanos) as your sleeves don't fit and the drinks are hot AF. 4) Generally there is cream at the bar that anyone can use to top off their drink, the last few times I've been here the cream is gone for fill up so I've had to ask the front. Not the end of the world, but v annoying none the less. Additionally, the last time I had to ask for cream I was told that from now on I would be charged because I used "too much." Literally scolded like a child, the chick said "so that was a lot... next time you'll have to pay for cream". Super professional, RB. And for the record, it was no more than an inch of the cup that was filled. I would have actually understood if I filled up half a 16oz cup. Regardless, if you are going to normally have cream at your bar do not tell customers who have to ask that they will have to pay more. If, however, you are no longer offering cream at the bar, then make this known to people so they are aware that they will not longer have access to this. Kindly nindustry standard is to have cream at your bar, so I would caution against this. read more

Great coffee and pastries! But the best is the customer service. These are some of the friendliest people, specifically Hannah, Aletha, Kirsten and Christian. They remember regular orders and make shopping local easy and super worth it. They'll happily make you anything and are spectacularly good at making it. It would be in your best interest to befriend these amazing baristas and give a nice review because they're worth the 5 min at least. They always make my day. read more

Which isnt a big deal if they were busy, but the cashier was talking with another customer (obviously her friend) the entire time about following someone on instagram... she didnt even acknowledge the line of people waiting to order.
