This is the place! You just need to find where they are for a great meal. Great food truck! I have had a number of items and each one has been great! One of the best breakfast items I have had is their Flying Saucer, Fried Egg and Pork Belly over Polenta. The flavor combo is really out of this world. The yolk mixed with the polenta is awesome. I have also tried their Breakfast Sandwiches which are great. The eggs are always properly cooked and the meats tasty and the English Muffins are grilled up right. The burgers, oh, the burgers! So far I have had The Vulcan (bacon and caramelized onions) and The Roswell (spicy green chili sauce, grilled onions and Vermont cheddar). Both burgers cooked to the right temp and the flavor profiles for both were outstanding. Next up for me is The Ron Swanson (fried egg and bacon).

Note: The co reviewer and I rate the quality, value, and service FOR THE TYPE of establishment we are going to, not against some Michelin award winning restaurant etc. I was able to get to the Rocket truck today in time to enjoy the most delicious burgers in the state! I not only rate them 5 stars but I prefer their burgers to any burgers I have had anywhere including any restaurants. Today Joe made two amazing burgers with cheese chopped over a bed of their salt and BUTTER potatoes and it was a glorious experience for my mouth! I don't care if there's a line, inclement weather, pandemic, etc if you see the truck stop whatever you are doing and try something from their menu. Whatever you were doing won't matter anymore!

Space Cowboy burger.....caramelized onions and jalepeno relish....delicious!!

Finally got my butt over to try this food truck!! The fact that they were right in Pawtucket at the Hope Artist Villages' Farmers Market on this gorgeous Saturday morning, made this a complete no-brainer!! It was early (10:30 AM or so) so I did consider ordering a breakfast sandwich - however, the description of the "Space Cowboy" burger totally got me having a cheeseburger for breakfast! This was a 100% black angus beef burger with choice of cheese (cheddar or American), coffee BBQ sauce, Caramelized onions and a Jalapeño relish. Wow, that is one damn good burger!!! The relish gave it just enough heat without being overbearing and went perfectly with the onions and BBQ sauce. I would definitely order this again! My breakfast companion had the Parisienne burger and enjoyed it. He did mention that the garlic aioli did not come through as he had expected / as described. But still a solid burger. I ordered a side of salt potatoes (local potatoes boiled in a salty brine with optional drawn butter) and they were good. Nothing crazy - just tasty potatoes in a cute little take out box! The woman at the truck window was very friendly and helpful with any menu questions. The quality of the foods they use is top notch and locally sourced (whenever possible) so expect to pay a little more but I found it to be worth every penny for these happy tastebuds!! Why did I wait so long to try this place?! ...gotta come back and try the breakfast items some day soon!!

I heard great things about this place and couldn't wait to try it- worth the wait!!! The burger was wonderful! A greasy, cheesy, oniony masterpiece! I cant wait until next Saturday to have them again at the Hope St farmers market. A must try!

One of the best food trucks I've tried. They showed up in downtown providence on a semi rainy Thursday. They had tasty burgers but the potato salad was gross n very petite. Just so you know the burgers are not sharing size. They had cool little bottled sodas. Root beer was good but the black cherry tasted like medicine. They say food trucks start at 1130 but they didn't open their windows until after 12. I would recommend the parking meters vs overpriced parking spots.

We started with some drinks - I customized one of their cocktail options to change the liquor and it was delicious! We wanted to try one thing from each section of the menu. We started with the beets which were light and citrusy. The crackers with them were crispy and paired perfectly. We also had the carrot bread grilled cheese, which was so unique! The fried fish collars were cooked super well and perfectly salted. We also got the bratwurst which were nicely charred with some yummy, mustardy potatoes. Our favorite dish was actually dessert! It was a delicious red velvet brownie that was super decadent but perfectly balanced with the filling. Definitely don't skip the dessert menu! Overall, it was a great experience. They mentioned that they change their menu seasonally, so we will definitely be back to try different options!

When we're craving something a little more thoughtful than the standard eggs-and-toast routine, this is where we land. The menu is creative without being over the top, the flavors are usually dialed in, and it consistently feels like brunch with intention. This last visit, however, turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. We sat at the bar around 1pm, which is our usual move. The service was great. We were welcomed right away and had drinks in front of us in no time. I ordered a draft Blue Moon and my partner went with a glass of wine. Both were cold, fresh, and exactly what they should be. We started with the lemon ricotta donuts. These were delightful. The texture was spot on, tender and light thanks to the ricotta, with that perfect sugar coating. I would have loved a slightly more assertive lemon flavor in the dough itself, but they smartly included thinly sliced lemon rind on top so you could dial it up yourself. A thoughtful touch and a really nice way to begin the meal. My partner ordered the avocado toast for her main and it was as beautiful as it was flavorful. The sourdough had a great chew and structure, the avocado was well seasoned, and the sprinkle of cotija brought just the right salty pop. Bright tomatoes, pickled onions, microgreens, everything worked together. This dish absolutely delivered. I went with the Eggs Benedict Florentine, which I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it missed the mark in a few areas. First, the poached eggs. The whites were a bit loose in spots and the yolks were slightly overdone. I know poaching can be tricky, it took me a while to master at home, but it was surprising to see the interior more cooked than expected while parts of the white still lacked structure. It was manageable, just not what I've come to expect here. Next was the mustard hollandaise. I was really looking forward to that punch of mustard, especially since I've had it shine before, but this time it felt muted. It was also looser than I prefer in a hollandaise. I love a good hollandaise, even better a béarnaise, and this one just didn't have the richness or body I was hoping for. Then there was the tomato. I understand we're not in peak tomato season, but even so, I can usually find more flavorful options at local markets and grocery stores. It appeared to be a standard beefsteak, and it just didn't bring much to the plate. A Campari or another variety with more natural sweetness and acidity would have elevated the dish and complemented the nicely cooked, flavorful spinach far better. On a positive note, the bolo was excellent. Such a great choice over the traditional English muffin and a perfect fit for a local spot like this. It had great texture and the slight sweetness usually balances the mustard hollandaise perfectly. Overall, Avenue N remains a place we truly enjoy. This visit just didn't quite live up to what we know they're capable of. I'm confident it was an off day, and we'll absolutely be back.

We were a little nervous to try it since it is known for being upscale and expensive, and we did our research beforehand. We are giving Persimmon five stars, but no place is perfect. The restaurant was clean and the bartenders were extremely well trained, personable, and attentive even on a busy night. The food was exceptional. Although the New Year's Eve menu was limited, every course exceeded our expectations. We shared appetizers, entrées, and dessert, and even asked for cannolis that were not on the bar menu. The bartender made it happen, which made the night feel extra special. It is definitely pricey, and the portions were smaller than expected, so most dishes are not ideal for splitting. That said, the staff was wonderful and the food was worth it. We would absolutely recommend Persimmon for a special occasion. Just go in knowing you are there for the experience, and you probably will not be leaving with leftovers!

I think there is potential there but it doesn't hit the mark and when Michelin does come to Rhode Island, they are going to have to step their game up if they want more than 1. We were sat in the back dining area, near the kitchen, which I love because I love watching people work in an open kitchen. You'd think I'd hate it because it makes me think of my own job but I think that's why I like watching so much, to see how other people work. Our server was casual and relaxed and very personable. She gave good recommendations and really made us feel comfortable and engaged. The problem was service was slow. There were so many servers standing around and chitchatting (including ours) but we never got a water refill and we didn't order as many drinks as we would have because she didn't come by very often. There really was a lot of standing by the kitchen and not touching tables. Also, food service was slow. It took 20 min between first set of cocktails coming and the apps. Second course came 30 min after the first. Our main, which was supposed to come with the second course came 10 min after the pastas. Dessert, which we pre-ordered, came 30 min after the steak. This was a long meal for no reason. The food was excellent. The tartare, the black pasta, the agnolotti and the steak were absolute perfection and tasted amazing. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the dessert. Which is so disappointing given that I am a pastry chef and that we had to pre-order it. It just wasn't good and didn't live up to the rest of the food. The pastry wasn't cooked all the way so it was soggy and a bit raw, the cherries were flavorless. And it was ugly. The pastry person needs to practice making quenelles. It also took forever to get the check. We waited 20 min after the dessert to be able to leave.
