There is a huge selection of bottled soda pops and candies from all over America and the world. I noticed this store while visiting Santa Clarita recently. Beautiful eye catching ambiance. I was like a kid in a candy store, literally. So much to see! The coolest and funniest soda bottles I've ever seen and so many to choose from! Endless! They have all of the old school candy from the past. Besides candy & chocolates, they carry the most unique items including unique soft drinks, games & puzzles, posters, school supplies, gag gifts and a bunch of Nick-knack items. I was with two other adults (no kids) and it was like being in Disney Land for us. I spent way too much time there making sure I didn't miss anything. Came in here around 530 today. It was completely empty. The employee didn't greet me as I walked in. Even when I walked right by the register they didn't even look up from their phone. My bf told me about this shop that he used to visit often when he was out in Palm Desert years ago but during our last visit, it seemed to be gone and replaced by something else. We were out in this area for another Yelp Elite event down the street and to pick up coffee from one of our favorites, Honu Coffee! We came on maybe one of the busiest days it seemed. Took us a bit to find parking, even the parking structure said "FULL". Luckily we found one maybe a block down from this store so it wasn't bad of a walk. We were also in this area to play Pokémon Go for their Noibat Community day and were happy to find SOOO many other people playing!! Almost everyone walking down the street were playing and it felt so chill. We walked in and first thing I noticed was an odd smell. It wasn't bad or anything, just kind of smelled old or run down. The cashier was looking down at her phone and didn't greet us at all. There are a lot of cool things in this shop! We actually ended up spending quite a bit on different drinks and some candy. We probably walked around the shop 3-4 times and found something new every time. Tons of crazy looking candy and drinks! If you're looking for some gag gifts, this is a good spot. They have stuff like Martian drinks, pickle soda, enchilada soda, and lots more. We didn't get any of the weird ones but can't wait to try some of the different root beers we got! So fun to stop in when you're on Main Street! They carry a bunch of old timey candy, that previous generations (my parents) recall from their childhood. Massive candy store, fun memorabilia on the walls of old posters and art work. They have a lot of taffy flavors that are all delicious, and of course soda pop! This was mine and my daughters first visit! We got a good amount of candies we have never seen or tried! We got a lot for $34... and the atmosphere inside was amazing! However. When we went to pay, the punk KID cashier made a very offensive comment. Saying, "oh wow", after putting our candies down. To which I replied, "isn't that what you're supposed to do? Buy candy"? And he poorly replies, "go for it. I was just surprised ". My daughter was about to buy her grandparents some candy but quickly put it back in fear of being JUDGED by that darn disrespectful kid. I was so excited when I drove by and it brought up old memories of how the Burbank location made me excited to go. I walk in and there weren't any other customers while I was in there. I was greeted right away by the woman behind the counter. After browsing through the store and looking for my favorite candies and not finding them. I asked about the British section (Lion Bars) and was told they can't get them any more. British candies aren't available any more and they could only get candy from Canada. The 711 down the street from me, a hole in the wall burrito stand, and also the local liquor store near my house can get British candies... (Mixed feelings about how Rocket Fizz does business). I saw that they sell Thai chips but they are a whopping $4.99 a bag and I could honestly tell there were only 5 - 7 chips in the bag. The flavors they had were mainly fish related, spicy, and basil flavoring. (Lays Brand) I said to myself; buy a candy I like that I see on the shelf and it was $3.30 or something like that! What, these are at CVS & $0.99 store. CVS has them for $1.99 This was the first time I went into a candy store and didn't buy anything. I can only rate this store 2 stars. 1 star is from the friendly cashier on 01/07/23. She informed me that this store was a new location and that the old store was a little smaller. She made eye contact and that's a big plus to me. She told me about the neighborhood and there weren't a lot of places to hangout in the downtown area. She seemed very nice and easy going. It is a very sad state of affairs when my Autistic son is "banned for life" from a candy store for popping a 5 cent candy in his mouth...which he then paid for. We've been coming to this store for years and have spent $$$ Hundreds on goods and merchandise. My son told me about the incident so I went to the store to apologize and make amends. The owner's steadfast "rule" was "no exceptions". I then asked in the spirit of Easter that he might want to forgive. Nope! He wasn't having it. I came in here the other day with my boyfriend after the movies, as we were walking back to the car. I like this place cause they do sell the older candies and have unique ones as well.. but just like any candy spot it's going to be over priced. They had some pocky's in there for $3.29, I can go down the street to Target and get it for $1. I mean c'mon, some prices are a bit much in here. I tend to come here once or twice a year. Around this time last year I was looking for chocolate coins for my kids' stockings and had been out of luck up to that point. Rocket Fizz had coins in stock, in multiple sizes, so they saved the day. This year I came looking for banana-flavored candy. They had multiple brands and sizes of taffy, gummies, a kind of candy cane, packs of Hi-Chews, and some other candy as well. I believe they even had banana soda. The man working there asked the age of the person I was buying for, and when told he suggested that the Turkish taffy I'd chosen might not be a great idea, as it could remove fillings. I needed to buy some cotton candy and candy cigarettes for a themed party, and Rocket Fizz had both. Service was friendly. Store is very open, clean, and well-stocked, as far as what they carry. The way it is merchandised suggests it is intended for casual browsing around, rather than finding particular types of items grouped together. I had to ask for help to find the items I was looking for. It also felt like certain products, such as soda, were represented far more than others. I wish this place well! Bought two bags of candy (3 oz. each) for $6.49 each which I already thought was overly priced but I guess it was a specialty candy so it is what it is. After purchasing the candy I go on to try it and it was extremely hard and stale tasting so I go back in to see if I can get a refund or to even get a new bag. The owner was very rude about it and kept telling me that the candy which is a marshmallow/gummy-like candy, that it's supposed to be hard like that. I told him repeatedly that I have had this candy several times before and that's it's not supposed to be like that. He was so insistent and kept refusing to help the situation in any way. I told him that the other bag I bought was perfectly fine so I didn't mind just grabbing another bag of that instead of just doing a straight cash refund. Pleasantly surprised on a Sunday evening to find this place after having dinner nearby. Afar, the shop name caught my attention. Thought the store may have closed given the lighting and time of day on a Sunday. However, after spotted someone in the store and the back of the "open"sign blinking, decided to chef the place out. I loved the soda's with REAL sugar - even though I've never really drank soda. I did try a Root Beer (ha ha - I got the diet) but loved the glass bottle. GREAT soda selection. Some brought me back to the day....I didn't drink the stuff then but I do remember it. I didn't love the Justin Beiber cut out when I walked in. It took away from the nostalgic feeling of it. I didn't get it - it had a throw back feeling to it until I saw the Justin cut out.... We stopped by Rocket Fizz last week to get some candy & soda before heading off to Six Flags. I've been to a couple other Rocket Fizz locations before (in LA & Houston), so I had a general idea of what the place offered. Most importantly: they offer an extensive collection of root beers. One of my friends has a serious love for root beer, so the moment we entered, he headed straight for the sodas. Unsure which of the 20+ brands to choose from, we asked the man working behind the counter for recommendations. Not only was he fairly knowledgable of the sodas & candies being sold (which is ideal), but the root beer he recommended (Red Arrow) was fantastic! I was excited to see the sign that this place was coming soon. I had the image that this would be an old fashion candy and soda shop. That idea quickly changed when the store opened. This store is just a big candy store with a big selection of cane sugar sodas. The candy is selection is a always changing and that is a bit disappointing. I love this store. A couple years ago it was under different management and candy prices were out of control. You're still gonna pay a premium price but you get a wide selection of chocolates, taffies, gag/joke candies, novelty candies, and sodas, not to mention there's a variety of posters, toys, and other decorative things. They've got a HUGE line of sodas literally "lined" up all across the store and in fridges. Some are delicious, some are funny, and some are just wacky. Need sugar? Want fun? Come here! This delightful store was recently taken over by a new owner and from what I hear, he's done wonderful things. However, this was my first trip to the store, and while I can't vouch for what he's accomplished, I can tell you that the prices are right, the selection is grand and the atmosphere is welcoming. Pick a candy, any candy, and you'll find it here, but there's also that often hard to find degree of charm that's here as well. For instance, there's a large selection of taffy, all different flavors and all labelled so you'll know what's what and how much it costs. The labels are cute, but not studied cute; these were done by the owner's young children. The owner (and I'm sorry that I don't know his name) also has a well-honed skill. Tell him when you remember a certain candy first being produced and he'll be able to pretty much guess your age. If you are with your brother, as I was, this was a good amusement, but if you're with the type of people you want to keep age secrets from, then ignore this one. Metal travel posters are also sold here, soft drinks, little lunchboxes. Just a fun, good spirited place to visit and drop your coins. No pressure. Pure fun. read more

I love this place. They have a great selection, keep the place very clean, and are really nice to everyone that comes in. Not an easy thing to do being that they are on the main mall strip and I'm sure they get a lot of obnoxious kids coming in all time. I always feel welcomed and I usually walk out with $10-$20 of snacks and drinks.
