They started my project without first obtaining the required city permit. The city eventually stopped the work because there was no permit, and the company only pulled one afterward. Another issue was the contract. They used the date they gave me the estimate instead of the actual date I signed the contract. When I tried to cancel, they told me I couldn't because they relied on the earlier date, even though it wasn't the date I signed. They also removed my swamp cooler without understanding how it worked and left a water pipe open, which left me without water for two days. My calls went unanswered until the second day. The craftsmanship itself looks good, but the lack of communication, poor project management, and the way the permitting and contract issues were handled made this a very stressful experience. I would recommend asking plenty of questions and making sure all permits and paperwork are correct before work begins.

I did some additional background checks to ensure worker's comp and license/bonded status and everything checked out great. So I went ahead and signed the contract. His crew came out and did a superb job of doing the entire lift and re-lay within 3 days (started very early mornings and worked late at night). This also includes city permitting. I'm very happy with the repairs and the crew was extremely hard working lead by the project manager, Bulmaro. They provided the large trash dumpster and all the debris was cleared after the work was completed. I included a picture from the work in progress after they lifted all the tiles and installed underlayment rolls. This was mid-way thru the repairs. Kudos to Dale and the entire crew. Very professional and quick. Highly recommended!

We were impressed with Dale's genuine interest in "building" a solid roof environment rather than just replacing underlayment. His team was respectful of our property and worked straight through, all day, each day, until completed. Based on the visible damage, it appeared that area was the source of the leak. After the repairs were completed, we experienced another significant rainstorm and unfortunately discovered the leak was still present. When I contacted Heritage Roofing Solutions, Johnny immediately stood behind his work. Once I had the solar panels removed to allow full access to the roof, Johnny returned and thoroughly inspected the area. He identified the underlying issue and repaired the entire section beneath the solar panels. What impressed me most was that Johnny completed the additional repairs at no charge. That level of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction is hard to find these days. He said that due to the width of the opening and us wanting a sliding glass door, he would have to frame the opening to accommodate the sliding glass door. He provided us with several options and we picked the best one that suited us. Jay immediately started framing and when the glass pieces came in, he and his crew came out and finished the framing and installation. Just like the last time, we are extremely pleased with the workmanship, appearance, and pricing. If you need glass work, no job is too big or too small for the Gurus!!!

We've used a different shower glass company multiple times in the past for our last house we remodeled and LOVE that company but figured this time around we could try Glass Guru for this newly remodeled shower because they are more local and our previous experience with them was great! Unfortunately, this experience was subpar, 2/5 stars (hence my 3/5 star rating, I split the difference between my two experiences with this company). Setting up the estimate appt was easy and they came out quickly. The estimate arrived promptly as well. We decided to pull the trigger and that's slightly where it went downhill. Due to the tile we used, I did ask the estimator Jay what option would be best. Floating shower doors or a set up that had metal trim around the whole thing that holds the glass in a more sturdy manner.. he said either would work. When the guys came to install, they didn't really seem to know what they were doing. The end result looked very sloppy, the clear silicone looked like it was pasted on by a 5 year old and a black trim piece placed along the bottom was crooked. When I mentioned this to Jay, he said he would happily replace the trim piece but would need to order it. When I told him this was our only real "complaint" he followed up with a statement "well, so I have a complaint now, the tile you used is really thin". Um, ok, what does that have to do with this situation?! I asked from the beginning what shower glass would be best and was told that any would be ok but now we're talking about how thin my tile is?! What a very odd statement to make to a customer AFTER install. This should be assessed prior to install AND I asked what glass set up would be best for our shower. Anyhow, 2-3 weeks went by after mentioning all of this and complete silence. I had to actually call to ask when this new trim piece would be installed and then they finally set up the appt. When a customer has an issue with something, they shouldn't be the one to have to call and follow up, right? The same kids came to install the new piece and they did a better job but as I sit here today writing this, no one has followed up with me to see how everything looks now. The customer service is non existent with this company. I will definitely be returning to Exquisite Shower Glass in Corona for my next shower remodel, not Glass Guru. They might be good at some glass related things but sliding shower glass doors don't seem to be it.

After meeting with Adam and several other contractors, I decided to go with Patio Guy not only…read morebecause of his five-star rating, but several other factors that were important to me (and probably you as well): 1) He could deliver and install my new cover within a week vs. the other guys taking months; 2) I wasn't limited to just the AlumaWood product (which wasn't modern enough for me), and (3) his price to install with an upgraded cover (insulated) was far below his competitors constrained by higher overhead and slower delivery times. I ended up selecting a Duralum cover that his company also offers, and I'm glad I did. It's just the look I was going for. I was also impressed with Adam's business model, which is built on quality and efficiency at a very reasonable price without cutting corners or sacrificing customer service. Now for the best part: A guy named Brody, his lead installer. In addition to being a super nice guy, his work is meticulous. The back of my home isn't linear, so there are bump-outs and protrusions, making the installation more difficult and time consuming. This wasn't the slightest challenge for Brody and his team. The finished product is snuggled tightly against my stucco and professionally sealed on the roof to prevent any water dripping through when it rains. I watched him work, measuring and cutting the aluminum to match my home so the fit and finish is far greater than I imagined. As you can tell from the photos, I still have work to do (concrete coating, fence repairs, etc.) to match the beauty of my new cover.

I waited 30 minutes before calling to see if something had happened. He answered and said "Oh, what's your address, I can be there in 20 minutes." He arrived 30 minutes later and gave us the quote. He took his time and wrote out exactly what we needed. His quote was thorough and seemed reasonable. The reason for my 1-star rating is because when we were ready to schedule, we called and called and no one ever answered. My husband also tried and left messages that were never returned. I know they are a busy company, but it shouldn't be that hard to schedule once a quote has been provided. Perhaps Doug needs to hire a receptionist to help with phones. We ended up going with another company and I'm so glad we did. They did a wonderful job! They were also Yelp verified and backed by a $2,500 protection by Yelp. We chose a smaller company where we had direct access to the owner and communication was never a problem. The owner was also onsite every day of the job.

The team handled a large scope of work, including removing and reinstalling all roof tiles, replacing the underlayment, installing new flashings, drip edges, valley metal, and a synthetic base sheet, as well as repairing damaged wood where needed. These are the issues I experienced: 1. No contract was given to me before the work started. 2. Driveway pavers were broken and not replaced. 3. Clean up was not completed when the job was finished. 4. The cost for the job increased 2 times. 5. When he came to get the final check I told him the original leak had not been repaired. I was told that was not his problem. Because the situation escalated and I was fearful, I gave him the final payment. Use at your own risk.

I believe The scope of work included covering the openings at the front gable junctions, installing ten O'Hagin vents to improve attic ventilation, and replacing two missing rake tiles. The team began by removing the necessary tiles at the front gable junctions and clearing away all debris. They installed metal mesh to seal the exposed areas of the roof sheathing, then set the original tiles back into place with precision. They added ten low-profile vents to ensure proper airflow throughout the attic and installed the missing rake trim tiles along the right-side main gable, both front and back. The crew concluded by clearing the property of all roofing debris, leaving everything orderly and well cared for. The cost was fair, and the quality of the work delivered was absolutely in line with the value received. Overall, the workmanship, communication, and professionalism were excellent from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any roofing repairs or maintenance.

Sutton Roofing Review 5-13-2026…read more I received 4 bids to re-roof one of my rental houses. The final was from Sutton Roofing. I studied the bids & noticed Peter Sutton's bid listed some extras the other 3 left out. I called. 1. Peter said I needed additional vents & my existing vents were deteriorated to the point that they would not last. The other 3 roofers were going to leave my old vents because they did not care or to keep the price down. I want a quality job, not the absolute lowest price. 2. I asked about the rain gutters in his bid. Peter said not having them caused damage to my fascia & also allowed my stucco walls to be overly soaked where the water would pool during heavy rains. This caused much stucco bubbling & pealing damage. My painter also pointed out the water damage in his bid to repair the walls where the stucco was bubbling & water had pooled at the base of the house. 3. Peter told me gutters should be installed behind or underneath the drip edge flashing that sits under the first strip of shingles. This placement ensures that rainwater flowing off the roof is directed into the gutter, rather than behind the gutter, which prevents damage to the fascia board, soffit, and siding. No one else ever told me to install gutters prior to the nailed drip edge & 1st row of newly nailed roof. 4. Before installing the rain gutters & the 1st row of shingles, all fascia was painted to match the house trim along with all roof exhaust/vent pipes, flashing & chimney. 5. I saw some of the work & was happily surprised that all deteriorated wood was replaced & not simply covered up quickly by the synthetic underlayment. 6. I watched during some repairs. A couple of rafters were too short & not connect at one end for support. One, to the centrally located chimney, & the other to the fascia. Originally, the builders did a poor job. I asked Peter how much extra he would charge for those extra repairs. While on the roof nailing in a new longer rafter he said, No charge. Peter said he believed in doing the job right. 7. He added an extra screw to old fascia attachments instead of leaving them with the original 1 per attachment after replacing 90 ft. of bad fascia. 8. While up there, he pointed out the chimney had some large cracks & spaces where the bricks separated & that would act like a roof leak. None of the other 3 roofers warned me that my chimney cracks could leak. I asked Peter if he could patch & seal the chimney. For only $200 he would get it all fixed up & painted to match the fascia. The chimney never looked so good. It makes the house pop with that beautiful roof & gutter. I plan on using Sutton Roofing on more houses. Sincerely, Joseph F. Tucciarone

Peter of Sutton Roofing came out and was able to expertly cover our roof the same day. We learned that some of the companies out there will just throw a tarp on the roof and place some sand bags and hope for the best. Sutton actually integrates the covering with the roof (and in our case solar too) so it cannot leak and they warranty it for 90 days so have the time it will take to get the roof repaired. As we faced more days of rain we had no further problems. Not going to say it was cheap but the peace of mind it gave us and knowing Sutton warranties the work was worth it.
