The one thing I'd hope would improve is more precision in their orders, there have been times when we order extra egg or extra chachu and when we get home it was forgotten yet still charged in the receipt. However, when brought to their attention on future visits their stellar customer service made it right by providing the items missing from previous visits and then some at no additional charge. We've been here a few times before, conveniently located just a short drive from where we live. Like most places in Temecula, it's situated in a strip mall right next to a UPS store. The place is pretty small, some bar seating and a few tables inside. We've tried a few of the ramen dishes they offer. Their ramen here is good, but not the best I've had. I normally order their spicy beef ramen with the tonkotsu broth. The broth is not as rich or flavorful, and their noodles are not made in house and it doesn't have that nice bite or chew to it. I believe the portion size is pretty decent for the price. Service sometimes can be hit or miss. Depending on how busy they get. For a ramen place in Temecula, it'll do in a pinch. Overall experience I give it 3.5 stars. They need to sell beer, and maybe I'll bL their rating to a solid 4! read more

Now I know Temecula is not known for its Ramen (and shouldn't expect much) but I was hoping Jake's would improve....that is not the case. The ramen here isn't rockin'. My bowl of ramen came out within the 2-3mins after being seated in a packed house. I thought that was cool (fast service) and big portion. However, the noodle texture is just like a top ramen package. The broth consistency is just the same; just as if they opened the powdered package and poured it into bowling water. You can literally make this same bowl by just getting the package at Mitsuwa Market in San Diego for less than half the price. At $15+ a bowl the quality less than mediocre and way above normal value. Gave this place a try and will not be coming back. You are better off getting a bowl of pho with spring spring rolls at another place for about the same price with better quality or drive down to San Diego Convoy for a better experience. read more

Not a bad place! I mentioned this place to my wife awhile back on the recommendation of a co worker that lived in Okinawa for two years. He claimed it was the only place that came close to the ramen he had in Japan. My wife was happy with the ramen, and between all places she's tried, she was never impressed. So this was a first ramen place she liked, because she's normally a big fan of Pho. We both thought the chashu was good, thinly sliced and flavored well. The only thing I didn't care for was the corn and egg. The corn doesn't do anything for me flavor wise, so I'll probably skip out on it next time. As for the egg, they only give you half of one and its hard boiled. Traditionally, the egg should have a very soft yolk, and also marinaded in a soy sauce mixture. The eggs they serve are plain boiled eggs, so that part disappointed me. Lastly, the korroke(croquette) was decent, but nothing to write home about. If you like potato's, I recommend trying it at least. read more

Solid 4 stars. Food was great and fast. Would of gave 5 stars but felt a bit rushed. Place was busy and it was clear they did not want to loose the customers that were waiting. We were asked to move to accommodate more people and felt that was wrong seeing how we waited for our seat. It's nice to be busy but always remember the customer at the table is the most important one in this moment. I hate giving bad reviews on places, but this was my second visit and I drove all the way from San Diego because the first time was amazing. First issue was the inconsistency with the broth. My wife and I both got the shoyu, hers was good with good flavor mine however was watery and bland. Second, the noodles were soggy and barely warm with no flavor. Third, both my ramen and my wifes was missing ingredients (green onion, bean sprouts)that is clearly listed on there menu to come in the ramen. When i mentioned this to the waitress she told me that the ramen doesnt come with those items until i showed her on their menu that it clearly does. Last but not least the waitress seemed to be in a hurry for us to leave since they started getting a little busy. I will come back and hopefully it will be better next time. read more
