Huge food offerings, but the sushi quality isn't there unfortunately. Service was great. I also like how clean it was because no one likes a sticky table. They also have their own designated parking lot. We tried several things in the menu from Takoyaki, Oishi Sushi Roll, Unagi, Yellowtail Hamachi, Cucumber Salad, & Seaweed Salad. Cucumber Salad tasted bland. The sushi & hamachi didn't taste fresh unfortunately. The Takoyaki and Seaweed Salad were the best items.

wanted to try a different sushi AYCE spot out & decided to give this place a go! as much as i wanted to love it, it unfortunately fell short for me. the service was great but the quality of the fish wasn't. we came here on a friday night around 6:30pm with some friends & it wasn't busy so we were sat down right away! the ambiance was nice & it was really pretty inside. the servers were very attentive & nice. we all did AYCE and order a lot on the first round to try a bit of everything. most of the appetizers were good! when it got around to the sushi, we could kinda tell it wasn't going to be as great. most of the salmon was good but everything else didn't taste fresh. imo rice ratio on the sushi was a bit too much as well. they do have premium items on their ayce menu and its one order per person. i was looking forward to the uni but it was probably one of the worst things i ate there :/ most of the sushi tasted rubbery and extra fishy. we ended up not making it to the second round and paid extra for any leftovers. this place has potential, they just need to get better fresh quality fish for their sushi!

I recently ordered from Sakura Sushi through DoorDash for the first time, and I was impressed by the super-fast delivery--definitely a plus! I took advantage of their happy hour deal, which included BOGO California rolls and egg rolls, and also ordered the Golden Spicy Tuna Roll, Las Vegas Roll, and a katsu plate. The sushi rolls were good, but definitely not mind blowing. I've had better elsewhere-- but considering the price, they were reasonable. Unfortunately, the katsu was overcooked and dry, but the flavor was good. I might consider dining in next time to experience the ambiance and to see if the food is better fresh.

We thought we would stop and try this restaurant. We normally eat at a Sushi restaurant in Widomar. This restaurant is larger and has more tables. It has tables with chair, and booths that have firm but comfortable cushion. Our server was average, she sat us but failed to provide us with our napkins, chopsticks, and forks until we asked for them. The Miso soup had tiny pieces of tofu and green seaweed. Fairly sizable bowl and it was hot. We ordered Rainbow roll, an assorted fish, and Jessica. Eight pieces. They were average in size, meaning I could put the entire piece in my mouth, as compared to some other sushi restaurants that have extremely large pieces and others that are tiny. All in all, ai have to rate this as 3 stars because the service was below average. The sushi was the saving grace. Hope that this helps with your decision.

Came by here with a friend for an early dinner. There wasn't anybody so we got seated right away. I love the sakura tree decors inside as it gives me Japan vibes. I ordered the takoyaki and Eel nigiri and my friend ordered some sushi rolls and a yellotail collar. I liked the takoyaki as it was perfectly good! The sushi roll and nigiri was okay. The yellowtail collar was also good! I also liked how large the portions were. We got full right away! Our server was very attentive to us and made sure we had everything and refilled our waters often.

I want to add. From the quality of sushi and the good appetizers they have, there is another thing to why I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Lauren. She is especially wonderful. If I come back here and spend hundreds more or even thousands more it is bc of Lauren. Lauren has pulled me to the "i remember why i eat out side" I had one of the most memorable times with great food and great service moments. Please give this place a chance. It was worth it for me.

The sushi was good, and the restaurant decor is really nice, but the staff could use some training. We did AYCE, buy 3 get one free, otherwise their price is about $10 more than other local spots. The servers would only come by to grab the sheet or refill our waters if we flagged them down, otherwise they were just sitting at a table and chatting, not paying attention. At one point, we had a table full of dirty dishes and when they came by to grab the sheet, they looked at the dishes and didn't pick them up. We had to partly bus the table then hand them the dishes when they brought our next round. It's a nice location with good sushi but the service is probably why I wouldn't come back.

I don't know why they're not at least 4.5 stars overall. AYCE WORTHHHH 5/5. I tried their AYCE dinner for my first time and my friend and I left satisfied and full. The yellow tail melted in my mouth. Definitely my favorite. Their salmon cuts were also super soft and yummy. Even their tuna wasn't as fishy as we thought it would be. Hand rolls have a generous amount of sashimi inside them. Their wasabi is authentic so it tasted even better. Highly recommend warm green tea while eating the sushi. We sat at the bar so we got 5 star treatment from the fun and friendly chefs. Servers were also very chill and sweet. We were extremely comfortable for first timers. I also liked how they had on a board which country each fish special was from. I will definitely go back when I need to fulfill my sushi cravings.

This time, I specifically tried some dishes I hadn't tried before. The omelet rice had a very soft egg crepe, and the rice inside was incredibly fragrant; it was a perfect match with ketchup. I also recommend the kimchi fried rice, topped with a fried egg--very appetizing. The lean and fatty roll was also refreshing and healthy, suitable for those on a diet. The grilled fish and fried shrimp heads were also delicious, fried to a crisp, and made a great side dish. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and give it a five-star rating! One small suggestion: On my previous visits, the restaurant had a faint, unpleasant odor; hopefully, this will be improved next time.

The sushi itself was mediocre. The fish was ok, kids said they liked their rolls but you can't go wrong with rolls, right? The amount of ginger and wasabi they provided was ridiculous. Price for the quality is ridiculous. It was a Saturday night at 6pm and the place was empty. This place used to be so busy! That should've been a red flag when we walked in. This is coming from someone that has 6years of experience as a waitress, part of that working in a sushi restaurant. The staff was very unkind to my mother for having a gluten allergy. They stated that she cannot have the rice because of having gluten in it?? My mom react to the soy sauce, we have not had a problem with the sushi rice from this location. The tone that the first male server gave was giving "this is an inconvenience" so by stating the rice claim, almost to get us to leave all together. Then he says he will have all the rolls not have any sauce on top which was nice of him to offer. Then we had female waitress, Kelly, who we tried to ask a a question as she was passing. I watched her sit a table, clean a table, place a check before coming back to answer our question. (All I understand) until she walks by our table and pretends not to look at us. So I have to stop her again because one of the roles had a sauce on top. So I asked her if the sauce had gluten in it. Again. (2nd time I asked this question from her passing by twice) she acted as if this was a new question, and was trying to walk away. She assured the sauce does have gluten. So I told her that we already explained to the male sever that we cannot have gluten in the sauces. We kept that roll for the gluten people and order another roll for my mom to eat. She then asks us for another round of tea and brings us a teapot of just hot water.... Overall, I cannot stand when servers make you feel like an inconvenience. The Hana sushi staff by chaparral on Winchester is MUCH FRIENDLIER we are regulars to both locations. After this encounter, we all agreed we will make it a point to only go to the Winchester location as they are very kind and attentive to my mother's allergies.

When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.
