We did a Rockin' Wine tour for one of my friend's Bachelorette Party this weekend and we could not have had a better experience. The bus was decorated specifically for our celebration and our driver Van ("Van the Man" as our group called him) made sure that we knew we were going to have a lot of fun and that we were expected to enjoy ourselves to the fullest extent. The wineries we visited were not only incredible, but the amount of tastings we were given and the vast varieties made for an unforgettable experience. This tour was special in that it was only our group on the bus, we had time to party with ourselves, and at the end joined a few other groups for a picnic and dance party on a hill with breathtaking views. They provided snacks to keep us going. To say that the tour was catered to our group is an understatement. We got to know Van, and he helped to make sure that every request was met and it was a carefree experience for our bride and her friends. He was also a great photographer and took the time to make sure we got the perfect shot so that we could treasure the memories forever. This tour was beyond fun. I booked this for a bachelorette party with 12 of us and it was honestly a great experience. To start, I spoke with Rebecca and she promptly got me a price list and set up with everything I needed to know about the tour. She was a great source of information and answered all my questions. Second was our driver Tim. He was fantastic! Super engaging and constantly made sure we got great pictures at the wineries and that we were well aware of what each winery had to offer. Toby was fantastic to work with throughout the planning process, allowing us to customize a tour that included round trip transportation from San Diego to Temecula, endless champagne on the bus, tastings at three wineries (one even had live music), appetizers, and a picnic lunch at a very reasonable price. Rockin' Wine Tours is **THE BEST** and you have to have KENNY as your guide!! We used them this past weekend for my bachelorette and the whole day was a dream. The bus was really clean, decorated very fun and the jams were bumpin. The wineries we went to were really beautiful and the wines were sooo tasty. This is the third wine tour I've done in Temecula and by far the very best. Probably the best we've done anywhere--and that includes Napa and France. :) I made reservations through Toby by email and he was very thorough answering my questions, and he even arranged a Gluten Free meal for me for lunch! Our tour included three wineries and all the tastings, an appetizer platter, champagne on the buss AND a full lunch. I looked into allthe top wineries and this was also the best deal for the money--8 people, a limo bus, $100/per person (gratuity is additional) Our tour guide, kenny, was just a gem. He is a retired marine with tattoos and a kilt, and he is one of the greatest people i've encountered. He had the best attitude, was so friendly, and he even decorated the bus for my mom's birthday-and bought her a gift along one of the stops. He fit right in with our group and we all enjoyed chatting with him. You can tell Kenny really loves people, and enjoys this business. He just made the tour so much fun, and everyone enjoyed him. My sister and I booked this tour to celebrate our mom's birthday. I read the reviews and looked over the website before deciding to go with Rockin' Wine. I am SO glad we did! We were picked up in a Hummer from the local Starbucks by Nathaniel. Nathaniel is a sweetheart and was lots of fun. There was a couple our group and they were super nice and fun too. :) He had a great selection of music so we could have dance parties on the way to each winery. We met up with the other group that Simon was the tour guide for and he was super nice as well. It was great having the experience of visiting three very different wineries. While I think I preferred the wine and feel of the first place (Hart), I was most impressed by the private tasting w/ food pairing at Leoness. Mercedes was great and knowledgeable! I think the price was more than fair as it included the tasting fees. Nathaniel and Simon are excellent tour guides. They make sure everyone's having a great time. James picked us up right on time - all 21 of us !! The bus was clean and cool ! It was decorated with balloons and streamers . James had water and champagne for all the guests. He played great music . Dropped us right in front of our first winery . Brought us waters and the delicious cheese/ meat platter . James took lots of fun group photos . We had a blast at second winery - with a big dinner and dancing to great music. The night ended with a fun drive back to camp. This was the best wine tour I have ever done. We have done the grapeline before which was almost 2 times the price and we were on a bus with random people. We wanted to try something different and were very glad we did! We got picked up in a nice limo bus with a great sound system and had a super fun driver/guide who took care of our every need. We went to Lorimar Winery, Falkner Winery, and Robert Renzoni. All of the wineries were different from each other with great views. Excellent choices. We had a picnic lunch that our guide personally set up for us during our time at Falkner! We were treated like royalty the entire time. Our guide was hilarious and literally had us cracking up the entire time. If I ever do a wine tour in Temecula again I will for sure be using Rockin' Wine tours you just can't possibly have a better time than with these guys! PS. Not sure why it says 'closed' on here. This tour blew me away! I had never been wine tasting before so I didn't know what to expect but this tour was amazing! The only issue I had was with booking there was some confusion on the company's end, but they sorted it out and confirmed my booking quickly. It's so great they don't ask for a deposit since exchanging money with big groups is always annoying. They even let each person in the group pay separately! The bus was super nice with great tasteful decorations. Every winery blew me away with great service, heavy pours and plenty of time at each one. Our driver Eddie was AMAZING! Our driver Eddie was awesome and Toby was great setting everything up and communicating. Totally appreciate the bus being decorated for our event. Eddie was the perfect host for the day. Friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. He kept an eye out for us the whole time to make sure we were getting what we needed at each stop. WHAT A BLAST!!! This my husband & I first time on a wine tasting trip. It was worth every penny! We stayed at a local hotel where Rockin' Wine Tours picked us up (and dropped us off at) and took us on a wonderful V.I.P. journey. We were brought to 3 wineries where our tour guide Simon, educated us on the process of making wine, different wines, vineyards, etc. Everywhere we went we got the background scenes that people have to be a member or fork out extra. We used Rockin' Wine Tours for my son's 21st birthday. There were 13 of us, we went on Sunday, October 11th and we had a great time! Our driver Tim is a class act. The bus was decorated for his birthday, we had plenty of cold water, champagne and cheese, cold cuts and crackers. Great sound system and we could use our own music. Tim was always available and made sure we had seating at the wineries. We visited South Coast, Robert Renzoni and Masia de Vinya. South Coast was crowded but we had a great time. This past weekend I decided to do a wine tour for my 30th birthday. Fifteen friends showed up and we went to three different wineries. The van was beautifully decorated for my birthday and the gentleman taking us around was fun, informative, and always offering to take pictures of us! There were just a few negatives to the tour which is why I chose to give three stars. The first thing is, I felt like we were being rushed at each winery. I understand we were on a strict schedule; however, I don't feel like 45 minutes at each winery was quite enough time to really enjoy yourself. For the amount of money that we paid, $1600, I don't feel like there was enough time. Finally, at the end of the tour we each went to the side to pay our portion. A few of my friends mentioned the driver was "pushy" about the tips and also "ungrateful". He did also mention to me it was a $1600 tour and my friends were not leaving enough. I did feel bad and ended up giving him $40 extra to hopefully makeup for my friend's "not tipping enough". The next day, I started thinking about how I spoke with the receptionist on pricing, etc. She told me everything was included except the driver's tip and that was all made up to our discretion. Our driver, however, was making my friends feel obligated and cheap for "not tipping enough". Due to this, my friends were upset after the tour and it ruined some of their experiences. If there is an expected amount to tip, this should be put on the website. (Ex: Tips are generally around 25%) Overall, the experience was fun I just feel like it ended on a bad note. read more
