    Good food for the money...
    Jeff W.

Fun place next to my kid's medical school so was hoping for no riffraff and I was right! The salad I got was great! Tons of shredded carrots, which I love! We had one of their signature pizzas, I think it was called the Roni, which had three types of pepperoni. We asked for it well done and it came out but I would say normal done. With the three types of pepperoni it was very rich. Next time I think I would just get one type. It reminded both my son and myself of Costco Pizza on steroids. Costco has pretty good pizza. Please don't be smack talking it! But the crust and overall taste was eerily similar. My wife had some sort of wrap that she liked that came with hand cut in-house fries. They are a real stand out!! Like it would be worth it just to come here for the fries!! Thick but fried dark brown and seasoned well. The beignets for dessert were very good!! leave room! My son had a couple vanilla old-fashioneds which he said were tasty. Service was also very good Overall, very cool vibe in this place!! We will be back. It's in a part of town where the people don't know how to tip so they automatically add 18%. 4th place I've been to in Memphis that needs to do this.

Wow, I really enjoyed this place! Appetizer: O.M. Cheese; Parmesan + panko breaded cheese sticks with marinara Main meal: Old McDonald Pizza; Chicken, mushrooms, spinach, roasted red peppers Both were delicious! Service was excellent. Loved the music and fun atmosphere. They have bowling lanes that were unfortunately not open at the time I visited. Loved the music and fun atmosphere. Rock'n Dough in Memphis is a fun spot that combines a brewery atmosphere with solid, well-executed pizza. I ordered the Marg (their margherita), and overall it was a satisfying pie. There was a bit of cheese slide, but the rich, flavorful tomato sauce paired beautifully with the fresh tomatoes, which really carried the slice. The cheese was good, and the crust was thin and crisp with a decent structure that could handle some weight without falling apart. I've also had their vegan pizza, which deserves a shoutout. It's genuinely quite good, made with very fresh ingredients, and it's refreshing to see thoughtful vegan options on the menu. Rock'n Dough delivers a decent pie whether you're plant-based or looking for the classics.

This place has wood-fired style pizza and I like that you can customize exactly what you want. They even have dairy-free cheese, which is great for me! We enjoyed the fresh Greek salad before our customized pizzas came out. Our server was kind and the food was ready very quickly. The downsides are that the prices were a tad high for my taste and unfortunately, the bowling area was rented out for an event. We would have loved to bowl after we ate! Other than that, it was a chill place to go and I enjoyed the food!

Here in Memphis with a child at the hospital so have to rely on delivery food. This place is amazing! Gluten free cauliflower crust, sauce is delicious and toppings are always plentiful! Love their side salads as well- definitely get the ranch!!

They stay great! We went last week and the service with V was amazing. All lanes worked and the food tasted great. I loved all their seasonal cocktails and the playlist was stellar. They had clean bathrooms as well!

Cute little lunch spot with bowling on site! They also have a great open floor plan with patio seating. The pizza as good but the service was great!

The Hub City beers that are served at Rock 'n Dough are unique and tasty. I tried a Huckleberry Skip Day that paired well with my Old McDonald pizza. The light fruity flavor of the beer alongside the very well topped pizza made for quite the meal. I was very impressed with the food and service. The atmosphere was great too.

Slice of the day (bbq chicken) with fries

The slice of the day is HUGE and the fries are incredible. I ordered a Punk Ya Colada and loved it. We also got an order of the garlic bread that we took home and reheated the next day in the air fryer and it was so good.

    Beignets

Tonight I tried this place since it was conveniently located next to my Yoga spot on Madison and the service, atmosphere & food were amazing! We sat at the bar and ordered our food to go. I ordered the USA calzone and highly recommend it. It's huge! Also, Leslie the bar tender is awesome, she told me since it was my first time there, you can get free beignets! Omg they were to die for!! I will return and highly recommend this place.

I'm surprised that this place only has two reviews! I went on a whim with my husband to grab something to eat before hanging out in the Edge district last night. This place is perfect for a quick eat, a drink and a little fun before a night out either downtown or in midtown. Tucked away on Madison, this place has indoor mini-bowling lanes and several tv's to catch a game. I also loved that they had a garage patio, where we were able to sit inside but also enjoy the breeze. We were quickly seated and served. We got the 12 inch pepperoni pizza, which came out in about 10 minutes. We also both had a reasonably-priced "Love Me Tender". It was good for people who like their beverages a little sweet, but not too sweet. Well done! I'll be back.

Slice of The Day Monday - Old MacDonald Pizza slice with Greek Side Salad & Iced Tea
    Edison V.

Delicious! Love the Slice of the Day options. For extra ~$3 comes with drink & choice of side (fries or salad). Staff are attentive and friendly. Nice patio. Excellent location at Orleans Station.

Good food but the service was kinda slow. This is the first time checking out their newer location so we decided to do something other than pizza. I got the thunderbird and the sandwich was light and good flavor. The fries were a nice compliment. The mozzarella sticks were okay. Didn't scream wow. The wife got the roni calzone and it had about 1000 pepperoni's crammed in it, so a bit of overkill but true to its name. The drinks were a nice experience, a bit overpriced. This would be a fun date night!

It pains me to have to leave this review. I came here once before several months ago and was very…read moreimpressed. I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.

The private lounge has privacy glass. It can be a VIP area, or a cigar lounge, or another venue space. There are restrooms for men and women. I was impressed with The Pocket layout. It is accessible from a wonderfully historic staircase from the Tailor's Union upstairs. I loved that at the beginning of the staircase coming down, there is an original fireplace in the brick wall of the stairwell, super original and very nostalgic to the space.
