Had a good dinner Friday night before a concert. Went with a few friends for a nice dinner. My food was delicious and fresh. I had a side house salad with a Balsamic vinaigrette and shrimp tacos. The tacos were good but had a lot of sauce on it which kind of covered up the taste of the shrimp. The flour tortilla was nice and crispy. Service was excellent. Restaurant was clean and the bathrooms were nice. Parking lot is spacious and the place has an outdoor patio. There are outside games for adults and children. I will come back to try other items. Me and my husband came during the afternoon, it wasn't busy at all so the atmosphere was very nice especially with the old country tunes they were playing. We were excited to try this place out, but the food didn't quite meet our expectations, especially for the price. I got the bacon mac and cheese pie, it sounded nice til it got served to me in the same skillet they cooked it in. Not sure, if we should've asked for the plate, separately. My bacon was uncooked and there was so much grease in the bottom of the skillet. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and I tried a bite because he said it didn't taste right and it tasted like their Alfredo sauce might've been out of date or something, didn't taste like Alfredo at all. Dear Rotolo's Team, I wanted to take a moment to share an experience I had recently at your restaurant because I believe people who go above and beyond deserve to be recognized. During my visit, I had the pleasure of being served by Elyssia F., a young woman who is working as a waitress while attending college with the dream of becoming a psychiatrist. What really touched me is that she said, "her goal in life is to help others in everything that she does". Elyssia is working hard toward her future, and like many college students, she has concerns about money and the financial weight of pursuing her education. But despite that, she showed me what it looks like when someone refuses to let their circumstances determine the kind of person they are going to be. My meal actually arrived without any noodles in my pasta. But somehow, that mistake became one of the best parts of the experience. The manager personally came over and made sure my meal was corrected. The team didn't simply replace the dish--they went above and beyond and even created a flatbread for my pasta toppings so that nothing went to waste and I could still enjoy everything that came with my meal. And while all of that was happening, Elyssia used her compassion, humor, and personality to turn what could have easily been an irritating situation into something I genuinely enjoyed. Then she did something I wasn't expecting. She got the entire team to sing me Happy Birthday. At that point, it wasn't just about the food anymore. It was about the people. Every person I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. There was a sense of hospitality that felt different from simply being "good at customer service." It felt personal. It felt like the people there actually cared about making sure I had a great experience. I walked in expecting to have dinner. I walked out with a story I'm going to remember. And that's why I'm writing this. Elyssia deserves to be recognized. Here is a young woman working hard to put herself through college because she wants to spend her life helping other people. She is serving tables today while preparing herself for a career where she hopes to help people tomorrow. I would love to see Rotolo's consider whether there is a way to sponsor, contribute toward, or otherwise help with Elyssia's college tuition. I realize that may not be something a company can simply do for every employee. But sometimes you come across someone who makes you stop and think, "This is someone worth investing in." Elyssia made me feel welcomed, valued, and cared for on a day when she could have simply done her job and sent me on my way. Instead, she helped create an experience I'll remember. And I believe investing in her education could eventually allow her to do for countless other people what she did for me: make someone feel like they matter. Thank you to Elyssia, the manager, and the entire Rotolo's team for an incredible experience. The food was great. The service was exceptional. But most importantly, the people were unforgettable. We ordered this to go on a Friday night. It was good! We'd eaten in a couple of times previously. Eating in here is a weird experience. Or it has been for us. Both times were just bizarre. Not even something I can put into words. Just service that seems...confused? It didn't leave favorable impressions - either time. But I placed an order on a Friday night. It was ready in about 30 minutes. I picked it up about 5:45 pm. The place, while not empty, was definitely not busy. The place isn't cheap. Three pizzas was $70. But it was definitely good. I went through some of the reviews, and I was very surprised based on our experience. I have had pizza in New York, Detroit, and Chicago. While this wasn't exactly like those pizzas, it was very close. The ambiance was very nice and the service was great! There was six of us in our party. The food came out hot and on time for everyone. The quality of the food was also very good. One of the best pizzas I ever had was in Chicago. I have really wanted a good deep dish ever since then. I have tried several local places that claim to have Chicago deep dish. But they just don't even come close. I was hesitant, but decided to tried Rotolo's deep dish called the first timer. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. That was the closest of any Pizza place, I found localy to an actual Chicago style deep dish. Out of the six people in our party, no one had any complaints. If I had one thing that could be better, it would be the spinach and artichoke dip. The dip itself was very good, but it came with pizza crust in place of chips. I think that's a missed opportunity. You're already ordering pizzas. You don't want Pizza crust to dip in an artichoke dip. It's just too much breading. That was my only gripe, and it's a very small one (Outside of that) I highly recommend this place if you want a good Pizza. read more

I went on a Tuesday for lunch. The server was nice and let me know about the special. The prices were on the higher side which is expected given the location and ambiance. Overall, it eas nice but I wasnt a fan of the yellowish lights above the table. I also was put off by the menu. It looked Ragedy and worn out. Im not sure if thats the look they were going for but it gave germy to me. The special was a calzone was half off. I got a meatlovers Calzone. It was good. I also tried the garlic parmesan bites,which were good, and the cheese fries,which were okay but nothing spectacular. There was also a 3% charge for using a card. With prices already high it was just a bit annoying. I would visit again to try more things on the menu and try their drinks. They seem to have potential. read more

Twice in my 61 years the service at a restaurant has been so bad that I had to go the kitchen myself and scream for the manager on duty. A couple of weeks ago at Rotolo's was the 2nd of those. Still haven't eaten there....never got any food. This is the most poorly managed restaurant in world history. There is a D0min0's a block away....go there instead. Pretty new place to the silo square area. Lots of interesting beers and ales and ciders. Fun, different pizza toppings like the figgy piggy for example. ITS VERY LOUD INSIDE, PLEASE PARDON MY SHOUTING. Waitress was knowledgeable of the pizzas, a bit less so on the beers. To be fair there are over 30 different beers / ales / ciders / stouts but some more knowledge on them all would be helpful. Or maybe if you don't want the wait staff pounding 30 beers before each shift perhaps put some descriptions on the folded up piece of typewritten paper which is what passes for the beer list. read more

First time eating@ the Southaven Rotolo's location & ordering Door Dash. Online order was very challenging. I got a cheese calzone added chicken, Kalamata olives, red onions, mushrooms. The dough was not cooked ,very stringy doughy,throughout the entire calzone. There was one small piece of cheese buried under a pile of what appeared to be deli sliced chicken. Very few olives or onions. Final cost $28 for a calzone!?!?! The driver had to wait on the order,came straight to deliver per DD navigation and it was cold upon arrival..2.6 miles delivery from the store to hospice facility where I am currently a patient... which is the biggest disappointment bc I finally had an appetite and was so excited to see ROTOLO's in Southaven.. it was my favorite pizza in Memphis!! Decided to have pizza and was recommended to come here. Really nice place inside with lots of seating. There is a patio outside when weather is nice. There are tvs all around to watch the game. The bar is in center. They have a nice selection of beer, local beer too. The server we had was great. Came by to check on us often and kept drinks filled. Ordered 16 wings, half charmette and half spicy bbq. Didn't really care for the bbq but the charmette, a spicy garlic sauce, was really good. Also got a thin crust sausage lovers pizza. The pizza is quite large and cut into squares. The sauce is tasty and plenty meat. Definitely would like to come back and try more pizza. read more

We loved the food here! The pizza was amazing, and the calamari portion was huge. The service was good and really quick. The ambiance was my only issue. While this is a pizza place, it is also kind of a sports bar. We were there on a Saturday afternoon which means footballs on. None of the TVs were on. First time trying this place as there are so many of the same. Chicken places around. We love pan style pizza. It's on the spendy side for the pizza and appetizers but it was good. The server, who said she was on her second day there, kept up with making sure we were satisfied on the foods and keeping up with drinks. Inside was nice, both booth/seat and regular tables. Soo we tried the new little pizza spot tonight in Southaven and it was pretty good. We had a great experience, The ambiance is very welcoming and I love the decor. We tried the First Timer Deep Dish pizza and enjoyed it. The Sausages are spicy (look more like andouille sausages to me) but still tasty. My only reason for not give 5 stars is because the pizza wasn't piping hot. And it didn't have a lot of sausages in it. But I was impressed, the pizza is flavorful and very cheesy. Probably the best pizza I have had in Southaven in a while. But I'll definitely be back to try something different. The servers are nice too. The food was really good once we got it, but the service was incredibly slow, and it wasn't very busy. We waited over 20 minutes for someone to take our drink orders. The waitress was nice, but even after taking orders she never checked on us until time to drop off our food. I asked her about the lack of customers and she proceeded to tell me that she only makes $2.17 per hours and cannot make any money if there are no customers. For the entree we ordered the Detroit style traditional pizza and it came out pretty quick but was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend that as an option. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty nice, maybe because it's new but the music wasn't too loud and if you're a sports fan, they have plenty of TVs if you're trying to catch a game. This place has set the bar for how horrible the food can be after each visit. The first time coming here it was just okay at best. This time it achieved a new all time low. Every item from meatball sub, calzone, and deep dish pizzas came actually burnt. Not a little black on the crust etc like most wood fired brick oven pizza places, but full on black ruined bread. The sub should have never left the kitchen. Somehow the pizzas came completely burnt but cold? The big apple pretty much has a few pieces of sausage on the bottom about the size of a quarter and a single pepperoni.... Burnt crust but still too doughy? The kitchen here needs a complete overhaul. No wonder it wasn't busy at all. Also couldn't get a knife to cut pizzas because they're "out" at 1pm in the afternoon? The food matches the decor inside, bland and grey. It'd be nice to get refills on all of our drinks, but seems to be all out of those as well. Save your money and get a digiorno. read more

Context: Went to Rotolos with a baseball team group around 7:45pm on a Thursday evening. Service: Waitress was very sweet! She got our orders right. We were patient with the timing of food and drink delivery, as there were around 20 of us. They did however not allow us to purchase alcohol when we put our beer order in just after 8pm. I went to talk to the bartender who I guess is also the manager and he was not flexible and didn't have much of a sense for customer service. He also hid in the back and didn't know how to talk to his guests and explain situations and/or make exceptions to their normal routine. The waitress tried her best but did seem overwhelmed. Would suggest that they inform their customers of the situation of low staff and closed bar, when they walk into the restaurant over an hour before it closes because we would have gone somewhere else. Food: I feel like it was rushed. Some of it was good and some of it was cold. We didn't send it back because we knew it would only take longer for us and everyone else. We just wanted to get out of there. I can see if they spent more time on it, that it could have been tasty. Oh and our pepperoni pizza had no cheese lol Ambiance: We sat outside on the patio. 5 stars, the boys had a blast playing in the grassy area outside and there was a beautiful sunset. I think this place has a lot of potential but might need to be ran better as they are located across from a major sports facility and need to be able to accommodate larger parties and provide much better service/food for those larger parties. read more
