Perfect place for good coffee and homemade breakfast. Service was outstanding. Make sure and try their cinnamon roll it is the size of a pie and is amazing.

Cute shop but the coffee was so incredibly weak. We went and bought a 711 coffee to drink instead.

The roast and brew the best. All the coffee shops and restaurants use their coffee. Perfect complement to any meal.

Both the kolache and the Texas sized cinnamon roll were full of flavor without being overly sweet either.

Or not but whoever she is, she's wonderful. We got ice cream, fudge, and truffles! All so good my pregnant heart was content. She was so gracious with samples and understood that sometimes when you're pregnant you think you want something and then it's awful. She even wanted to ensure that I sampled some of the fudged before committing. So kind! And not to mention she read the ingredients of the fudges and truffles to me so I could ensure I wouldn't get any I was allergic to. Extra mile points. The ice cream is Bluebell and the variety of flavors they have are GREAT! You can simply check the Bluebell site for which ones are gluten free which I did. We're heading back over from Port A, yes that's how great the service is in comparison to places on the island, to come here again.

Nothing fancy loved the ambiance. Immediately greeted and self select of a table. A little bit of a wait for menus and drink orders buts that's okay, Rockport is a laid back place on my opinion. I had the 2-egg (choice of scrambled) with hash browns and choice of meat-Canadian Bacon and toast, I chose an English Muffin. My husband had the grits but asked for Catfish instead of Shrimp and they obliged. Thank you Chef!! Overall I enjoyed my first experience at JJ's and will most definitely return for lunch. I overheard the chicken fried steak is a winner.

I had called 30 mins prior but they do not do reservations but I gave them my info over the phone anyway. Upon arrival, I did get seated rather quickly with my group of 8, but that's not why I took off 2 stars. This would have been a 3.5 star restaurant because the food was good when it finally came out, but the key word is finally. Once we ordered, it took about 1 hour for the food to even come out. For a small breakfast restaurant this is just ridiculous. We saw 2-3 other tables that arrived after us that received their food. It tells me they either only have 1 person in the kitchen, or they're not prepared for a Sunday crowd. Either way, they're were not prepared. Our group ordered both lunch and breakfast items but based on the foods that were coming from the kitchen, they chose to only cook the breakfast items and bring those to other tables. I chose the chicken fried steak since the menu indicated it was hand-breaded. I picked Texas toast as my bread, and green beans and mashed potatoes as my sides, expecting them to be basically canned and powdered potatoes. The sides ended up being fresh green beans cooked well done with caramelized onions which were very flavorful. The potatoes were homemade as well with cream gravy, but needed some additional seasoning. The rest of my group loved their food too, as all 7 other plates were cleaned with no food left. Just when we thought we were in the clear it was time to pay. Well, that didn't go all that well either. Our waitress was busy bringing orders out and catering to another newly seated table and going back and forth to the kitchen getting them anything and everything to go along with their meal, meanwhile we had our check ready and she bypassed our table 2-3 times and didn't look our way. I didn't want to be rude since she was nice, but she was in over her head and beyond busy apparently. Three stars is being nice here, but we did like the food....so that's their saving grace.

We were fortunate that we came in about an hour before they closed for the day. But once walking in, the boba shop is to the immediate right with a chalkboard saying "other door." It is a nice and small spot but there is a bit of a step to take to get to the counter. I decided to go with the Vietnamese coffee and horchata smoothie. The Viet coffee is good. I am accustomed to a really bolder flavor of Viet coffee but this was just right. The drink cup is a big size and I typically get Viet coffee in a small size but I am not complaining. The horchata was good as well. It was more on the cinnamon flavor profile but if you do enjoy horchata I would give it a try. I would say a more sweeter take. The price is reasonable and worth it. The shop is family run. I definitely appreciate that opposed to the much busier atmosphere. It is a really relaxed feel. Very homey vibe with the minimalist decor and the figurines on the shelves. Overall it is good experience. I did not see any other places in the area that has boba. Driving, we had to turn around but you cannot miss it. It is a really nice teal blue color on N Church. Also their unique door with the sun and moon too. I do not get chances to come to Rockport often but if I am ever in the area, I would recommend stopping to Rockport Boba Tea & Coffee. Seating is a bit limited but if you are on the go, this will be nice place to pick up and go.

We knew it was late in the morning so obviously they wouldn't have everything. The woman in the front was super sweet, and there was a man in the front to who was helpful. Our one star comes from an extremely rude man in the back. My 3 year old son has CP and can't control some of his repetitive motor functions. He was hitting the glass pastry case (not hard - he's 3) and the guy in the back yelled "who's doing that!?" I apologized and pulled my son away and he goes "I just wiped it down!" I highly doubt we were the only people to do that ever if he's had to wipe it down multiple times today. And sure, it's annoying. Which is why I apologized. But it was the tone and the complete lack of any sort of tact or customer service that shocked us. When my husband went back in to explain he was even more rude and basically told us to control our kid. If he was running around breaking things in the entire store - absolutely. This attitude would have been warranted. But he put his hands on a pastry case for f's sake. Calm down. Whoever said Rockport is kid friendly...lied. And this place is living proof. So make sure if you have kids to tell them not to touch ANYTHING here. Or better yet keep them in the car. Wouldn't want to upset the troll in the back.
