Had to share what an amazing job Evan and his crew did on our owner-build pool! Evan was a pleasure to work with! He had a great advice on what would look best! He would give suggestions on every detail I was not sure about and made me feel great about my project. In addition, Evan was great when it comes to communication, time management & efficiency, he ticked all the boxes. Before hiring Evan, I did contact a few other contractors but I did feel very confident that he would give me wonderful work and he certainly did. I was very pleased seeing that at one point Evan was shooting the spa himself, the made me feel that he truly cares about his work & was present the entire time making sure everything is going per our plan. I did a DIY pool and I was really happy with them at first. Evan was great! He gave a good price. He was very responsive, and finished the job in less than a day! However, they did "dirty work." They did not clean up after themselves. They didn't tear out the forms after they were finished. They used our plywood without permission. And when I asked Evan about cleaning up the excess concrete from cleaning his equipment that he left on the ground, he told me that the concrete guy will just use it to fill in the backfill. Concrete guy said no way, that is just "dirty work" by the shotcrete company. Not to mention, that could bust my pipes! I confirmed with others as well. I do not recommend them unless you are home to supervise and make sure they clean up after themselves. read more

Extremely impressed with the job they did. It was quite impressive how fast they finished their job. There was a crew of 8 and they all knew exactly what to do with no communication between them. I made a last minute change (changed my shelf depth from 18" to 9") even though I made this change on the day of the shoot they were able to do it with no problem. read more

After getting 4 quotes for shotcrete Evan at RIP came in with the best quote and honestly I thought it was a too low on yardage. So I asked him about it and my concerns about being low on the yardage. He was very up front and honest with me and I appreciated that. He always kept me informed of his schedule and came when he said he would. Friday he and his crew came and shot the pool. Looking forward to getting the rock work done next. Thanks RIP. Jacob dropped by to give an estimate, seemed nice, talked for about 20 minutes. He said he was going to talk with his partner for a price quote and get back to me within a day or so. I've attempted 4 phone calls with messages left - NOTHING.... I left a couple messages with Evan, NOTHING! It's been over 3 weeks. At least have the professionalism to return a simple phone call, or better yet stay true to your word and call with a quote. These guys are flaky and non-professional. I wouldn't use them if they offered to do the job for free. read more

I attempted twice to call this place yesterday, 3/3/16, and left voicemail messages. No one bothered to call me back. I called again on 3/4/16 and no one answered the phone. Evan finally called me back later in the day on 3/4/16. I asked Evan how much would a 10 foot tall gunite tree cost. He told me an absurd amount of $13,000.00. I asked him why would it cost so much. Evan became upset and rude because I asked him about the high price. He stated, well if you can find it somewhere cheaper go ahead and hung the phone up. I do not know how this guy is even staying in business. The other review was right. This guy does not call you back in a reasonable amount of time and is extremely rude. Also, his prices are way too high. I would never do business with someone like this. I could only imagine how difficult it would be to work with him if he is doing a job for you. read more

I am a landscape contractor in San Marcos California, I recently designed a sinkhole with overhanging palapa with wood deck and large water feature. I was lucky enough to find Evan, Jacob, and his employee Javier. The sinkhole had 3 to 4 foot dirt walls and I needed to create decorative artificial rocks and boulders to hold up the bank so I would not collapse. Evan, one of the owners came out to my job site two days prior to one of the rare rainstorms this summer. Although he was already booked on other projects he realized that my walls could easily wash away without the concrete support. He immediately called his crew and put things in motion so I could get my walls built the following day. These guys showed up at seven in the morning and by noon time they had installed rebar and were ready to roll. They sprayed the sides of my sinkhole and his partner Jacob an employee Javier started carving decorative rocks and boulders out of the concrete. They used stamps with color as a base coat. They returned the following day with different color stains and they created the most amazing rock formations. Needless to say, the following evening it poured rain and when I returned the following day everything was perfect and beautiful! I have just over 38 years of construction experience, these guys are the best I have worked with. If you need waterfalls and slides going into pools or any kind of artistic work with fake stones, these are your guys. read more
