These two may be the greatest duo to choreograph wedding dances! Like many people, our wedding was postponed multiple times due to Covid and it felt like the wedding planning and replanning process was becoming less and less enjoyable for us. We really wanted to do something that was just us and thought a choreographed first dance would really bring the excitement back. We found Jenny and Janet online and my god, we couldn't have been happier! They were such a joy to work with and constantly brought high energy and positive vibes to each and every practice. We had a fusion Nigerian-Indian wedding and really wanted a dance that was high energy and paid tribute to our respective cultural backgrounds. Janet and Jenny choreographed our first dance for our wedding. Without a doubt, this was THE highlight of our wedding (and there were many contenders). We'll never forget the surprise and joy on our friends and families' faces as we broke out into our routine. Janet and Jenny were incredibly supportive, encouraging and accommodating throughout the whole process. For background, I grew up dancing, but my husband had never taken a dance class in his life. Seriously greatest duo ever to choreograph a wedding routine. I'd give 6 stars if I could! Why you may ask? Why should you use them??? Lemme break it down for you in no particular order - 1. Patience - they exuded a tremendous amount of continued patience for a bunch of us newbies, even despite us always goofing around 2. Confidence - they built us with the confidence we all needed to actually perform this. I can honestly say we were all terrified when we started but through 4 sessions (I only attended 2 haha), they guided us through every arm movement, ever transition, and every subtle cue, it made us want to become bboys. Hahaha yeah right, like we ever could 3. Music - good lawd the music was so good. Ma$e, jagged edge, run dmc, swv, Wu tang. What the what?!???!? Good music makes everything more fun, I mean come on. What other artists would you want in there?!? 4. Fun - probably the most important part of it all, they made sure we were always laughing and having fun 5. Swagger - I've never met a pair of folks that had more swagger than Jenny and Janet. So much oozing out of them, I felt like I had to buy some Jordan's just to get on their level I'm sure there are lots more things I forgot to mention, but the bottom line is.....use them!! :D read more

I can confidently say that the surprise choreographed dance was a major highlight of our wedding last month, for us and our guests. My husband and I met with Jenny and Janet in the beginning to brainstorm what we had envisioned for our dance (which involved bride + groom + 9 bridesmaids + 7 groomsmen). I figured it wouldn't be easy to pull off with such a large wedding party, but J&J made it work. They were both so enthusiastic and helpful throughout the entire process, from creating a mash-up of our favorite songs, to planning out the rehearsals, to creating instructional videos for a couple of my bridesmaids who were out of state. We were working on a really short timeline, but we somehow managed to schedule 4 rehearsals in 2 weeks and miraculously got it done. Everyone was nervous/shy/doubtful in the beginning, but J&J's patience and ENERGY really made us all feel so comfortable and excited, and we all had a great time. It was a really awesome bonding experience for our wedding party, which made me so happy. J&J even came to the rehearsal dinner to help with our final practice to make sure we got our positions correct and everyone was confident. This was also the first time we had ALL danced together with the out-of-towners. Overall, I highly recommend ROCKthePARTY to anyone who's thinking about doing a choreographed dance for their wedding/event/party. My wife and I found Janet and Jenny randomly when we were looking to hire choreographers for our first dance at our wedding, and I sure am happy that we chose them for the job! They were super receptive and open to out preferences and skill level for our dance, and they even made a custom mix of the songs we wanted to do the choreography to. The process was super easy for getting our rehearsals scheduled because they worked were able to work around our busy lives. I was really impressed with their ability to turn my wife and I into dancers when we are both usually not the best movers. They are also the nicest teachers we could've asked for, taking time to really make sure we got down every move even if some of the more difficult parts took longer. By the end of our rehearsals we were doing the routine in our sleep! I couldn't give them any higher of a recommendation. The way our wedding guests reacted and the videos that they posted of our dance are proof enough to me that these girls do amazing work - and people love it. If you're looking for fun, different and memorable first dance choreography (or any choreographed dance) you don't need to look any further. You won't regret it. I have had such an amazing experience working with Jenny & Janet, who are both extremely creative and talented people. They choreographed a fun and impressive dance routine for my bride on our wedding day. They were very patient with me as and so easy to work with. Budget and schedule was a concern of mine but both Jenny & Janet were able to work with me on both of those. I have not had any prior dance experience before as well as the confidence needed to perform a dance like this in front of people. My (now) husband and I were in desperate need of help coming up with a first dance (and song) for our wedding. We knew we needed a dance just as unique as our relationship. After doing some research online (and on yelp!), we came across Rock the Party and decided to have a meeting with them to see what we could come up with! After our first initial meeting with Jenny and Janet, we were so excited! We felt like they really got who we are and what type of dance we wanted to do. Our song has always been "Forever" by Chris Brown, which is quite an unexpected first dance song, and after throwing around some other ideas, these ladies helped us realize our song was right in front of us the whole time! We also threw around the idea of having some sort of surprise for our guests, which Janet and Jenny were thrilled to work on. The girls worked closely with us on our budget, schedule and skills to make sure everything was doable .. and they definitely came through! They ended up putting together a great mix of "Together" and "Pony" which we LOVE! Our guests were blown away with our whole performance. Working with Janet and Jenny was such a pleasure! Not only are they both amazing dancers and choreographers, but they are truly amazing people. We were lucky enough to get to know each other and really enjoy ourselves more than we could have ever expected. Since we've gotten married, it feels like something is missing not seeing them around with all of our dancing shoes on! I can not say enough about these two ladies..... Jenny helped ME and my THREE SONS prepare for " the mother and son(s) dance" for my wedding!!!!! J&J of RTP choreographed a wedding party dance battle for us, which kicked off our reception. They made the rehearsal process fun and broke down the steps so that everyone could learn them, regardless of our dancing abilities. The rehearsals were a bonding experience for the wedding party, and the performance was a surprise for our guests - it set the energy for the rest of the evening. PARTY!!!!! I can't thank Janet and Jenny enough for making our wedding reception a hit. They choreographed an awesome routine that totally fit our Gatspy themed wedding. We had so much fun during the whole process and they totally worked around our schedules to get in enough rehearsals so that we ready on the day of the wedding. Thank you Janet and Jenny! Rock the party... this dynamic duo taught us awesome choreo to open up our dance floor. Every move and idea was thought out and executed perfectly down to our 18 person bridal party joining us on stage!!! From the music down to staging I felt like I was competing on so you think you can Dance... Being a non-trained dancer I was intimidated and everything felt awkward and unnatural for me but they were super patient and easy to work with. They made each rehearsal super fun and it was awesome to see each part of our dance unfold. Each week was progress and success... That the steps became second nature ;) our friends and family loved every moment of the dance and are still talking about how awesome it was.
