5 stars. Will visit again…read more If you are going to do the bad things, I suggest you do them in Rockwall county. I'm giving this 5 stars because every time I stop by for a mandatory visit, SGT Munson and the gang treat me well. I just don't like having to show them my front and back privates each time I stop by. Its not very neighborly. Sometimes when you're in there for a while, because you did the bad things, you'll get a middle-of-the-night, "show us your privates again and cough" surprise. Also, what's pretty cool about these folks is that they'll pick you up, wherever you are, regardless of what you're doing for free, to come spend some time with them for a spell, even if you don't want to. I suggest all who are physically able to, to try to work as a trustee. It's a blessing from the monotony and you are giving a bit more liberty within the jail. The kitchen is a lot of work but you can build camaraderie with the COs and with fellow trustees. Sometimes they even let you listen to the radio. Inmates are given 3 hot meals a day. I never complained because we were fed for free each day, when in Venezuela, free people don't even have that luxury. We also could shower everyday here...with hot water! There's chapel service once a week. There's a tiny library to use if you ask. There's counseling available once a week if you ask for it. I used it to figure out what the heck I was doing with my life and why I was not learning my lesson as each mandatory jail visit was subsequently getting more painful, costly, and making my judge super mad.

During my most recent involvement with them, I was gifted an unauthorized search of my vehicle and offered many opportunities to rebuttal their offensive and snide remarks towards me- however, I was able to successfully avoid their attempts of bestowing me with more charges in order to gain more $ donations. I look forward to seeing them again under better circumstances so that I may express my thoughts towards their staff with a well deserved flying bird. PS: Only ONE of the FOUR officers I interacted with wore a mask. Yes there is no longer a mask mandate, but I thought their slogan was PROTECT and SERVE. Why not protect the public by wearing a mask? They all only seemed to be interested and equipped to protect themselves - bulletproof vests, guns, tasers, etc. Why no mask? A: Freedom! Murica! Jesus! B: all lives matter, but not enough to wear a mask. C: it's the most oppression they have ever faced D: all of the above

On my way to the police station the money flew away but I was still worried that my car was getting tracked the police told me they would wait for me outside but I sat there for more than 20 minutes and the police never came I called twice. I watched police leave one by one clocking out, while I just sat there and waited. This is horrible something terrible could have happened and no police could help.

Like all HOA's, Las Mariposas has Rules and Regulations that were created, and modified over the years, for the benefit and protection of all residents which helps ensure the quality of the neighborhood. The Association encourages "Joanne" to report suspected drug dealers and loud music offenses to the police. The Association has no authority to deal with drug dealers; it is not a law enforcement agency. From time to time the Association has acted on loud music complaints, IF they are witnessed by a Board Member or any "concerned" resident that can identify the source of the music and has the courage to step up and be involved. Window A/C units are prohibited by the Rules & Regulations. If "Joanne" doesn't like that rule, she is certainly free to address the Board at a regular meeting, state her views, and suggest changes. The Association also wants to maintain the neighborhood in nice shape which is another reason the Rules & Regulations exist. As for anyone taking pictures of "Joanne's" property, she lives on a public street and has no expectation of privacy of anyone taking pictures of her property or anyone else's property, as long as it is done from a public place such as a sidewalk or street. One of the continuing problems the Association deals with is owners who fail to make their monthly dues payments on time. Currently, the Association has approximately 20 owners who are behind on their dues, some with as little as $100.00 and several that are $4,000.00 or more. When the Board feels that all other methods of dealing with such owners have failed, it retains an attorney who files liens against the property in the amount of dues owed. If the owner continues to ignore the situation the property could be auctioned at the courthouse steps and the new owner would evict the former owner. The Association currently received payments of over $13,000 for two properties it sued in this manner, and cases are pending on three others. The Association will continue to take such legal action as is necessary. Dues are used to maintain the neighborhood, such as lawn mowing of front yards of 213 homes, sprinkler system maintenance and the water bills for sprinklers in the front yard of all homes, swimming pool maintenance, etc. When owners fail to pay their monthly dues as required they still get these services, which in essence are being paid for by their neighbors. This is not fair to the owners who responsibly pay their dues each month and on time.

Every visit was captured on Ring cameras while our family was out of the country. The aggressive pounding on the door was enough to scare our house and dog sitter, who was staying at the home while we were away. They used deceptive tactics in an attempt to get a response regarding court paperwork connected to a case that has absolutely nothing to do with us. They repeatedly showed up at our property at all hours of the day (830-9pm--unacceptable!) and engaged in behavior that was more like stalking and harassment than professional process serving. I have video evidence of the repeated visits, aggressive knocking, wild rhetoric, and attempts to peer into my home. If this is how this company conducts business, people should be aware before hiring them. Should this happen again, we will contact law enforcement and provide the footage for harassment concerns. Avoid.

Who the heck writes a review for a government center? I do...and let me tell you...this place…read moredoesn't suck as bad as you think it will. Sure its not fun to go and stand in line to get your plates, registration or other government related business done, but you have to sometimes. The great thing about this place is, they seem to move people along pretty quickly and get you in/out and back on your way. Think "under 20 min" type of fast! Also, the times I've been here, I've never seen any of the employees just standing around, not helping, while one window is open...and everyone is just STARING and the lazy employees standing around (looking at you post office). No..instead you have several windows open of people who are happy to help you with whatever process you need, and friendly enough to engage in conversation distracting enough to make the time fly by. Props to whoever is hiring and training these government workers. Tip: do be sure to bring in all your documents including vehicle insurance if you're getting a new registration sticker. Also don't forget this is a government building so leave those kids and firearms in the car! Overall, I don't dread going to this place because I know I'll be out quickly and I won't wait in line for an ungodly amount of time. Enjoy!

I remember this area when it's the building used to be the old Kroger by Garland High School. As of today they are remodeling and doing renovations to make the place bigger.
