The biggest issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing. At no point was I given a proper estimate for the work that needed to be completed. I ended up being charged close to $500 for what was essentially a circuit board replacement. In my opinion, that cost is excessive. Transparency matters, especially when it comes to home repairs. Customers deserve to know what they're agreeing to before being handed a bill. Situations like this can feel like companies are hiding behind "inflation" to justify inflated prices. Apparently a common issue when the main tension pull point is on a weak aluminum holding point. Called this business and the owner, James, personally responded to sending his team members, Ernesto and Deimy, on-site the same day for a firm permanent solution while inspecting the entire garage door mechanics, firming the spring, ensuring and smoother operation. I went to find a good company that hopefully was right here in Rockwall, and I knocked both of those requisites out of the park! I called Rockwall Garage Door on Monday morning at 9:45. Damie came out and had a look and told me what I'd expected. It was a 15-year old door and one of the springs had busted. By 3:00 PM I had a new door (and rollers, the frame, and all that stuff) installed and working great and I was able to match the color of the door when they there on the first visit. They have done work for us twice... once on each garage door we have. I called late in the afternoon yesterday and he said he would call first thing in the morning. James called twice right before 8:30 and texted me. I called back 15 minutes later (yes I was sleeping in on a Saturday) and he said they would get us after the garage they were currently working on. I love how they prioritized us and were flexible. One of the 2 bolts securing the motor to the ceiling had come out. James quickly diagnosed, moved the anchors back, serviced the whole mechanism and also found other issues that needed to be addressed. The tension needed to be fixed because the weight of the garage door was causing issues. They fixed some things on the channels etc. suffice to say they fixed all problems not just what I called about. They are fast, reliable, honest, fair and most important. They are good. I'm in the process of downsizing. My daughter & I had been working out in the garage & were ready to call it a day. Low & behold, the garage door would not close. Aaahhh!!! What do we do now?
