In late May, one of my garage door springs broke so I searched the internet and came across Spring Kings. I called and spoke with Kent, we agreed on a time frame and he arrived right on time. He even called me before to confirm his arrival time. Kent quoted me the price to replace the springs, then after replacing them determined the previous company I used installed springs that were too small for the weight of my door. He told me he needed to leave and retrieve the correct springs and would be back within an hour. Less than an hour later, Kent returned and installed the correct springs. And he honored the original price he quoted. I also asked Kent about replacing the door seal on my garage door. He quoted me a price for that, told me he would have to order the seal, as my door was older and had a unique seal. Less than a week later Kent returned and installed the seal as promised. Just got my garage door fixed by Kent yesterday. If there is a five plus review, Kent absolutely deserves that! First thing he impressed me is his honest, considerate and quick responses when i requested for a quote and made an appointment.He was punctual (called me on his way and let me know he will be arrived in 20 minutes, very considerate). First and foremost I'd like to state that Kent has a 5 star rating for a reason. I scheduled on Thursday through his website which was super convenient and he arrived promptly on Saturday. The job was to replace the springs in my garage, one had snapped a few months back which had also caused my motor to brake. The new springs were installed within 30 minutes but once he inspected the work he advised the springs he put on which matched the previous were to strong and quickly replaced them with the correct size. His honesty and knowledge impressed me. After the springs were installed, he balanced the door and lubed it up (sounds 10x better). 2nd, I opted to buy a Ryobi garage opener and install it myself instead of going with Kent's options, he didn't try to upsell me or convince me his products were superior but gave me helpful tips and let me know he could come back out if I had problems doing it myself. Our garage door broke over the weekend. We had noticed it slowly becoming more uneven-- when it shut one side was higher than the other and the corner was off the ground. Looked like the wiring was getting hung up and so the whole door was off-balance. My husband began trying to fix things himself but after a little reading found out how dangerous DIY garage door repair can be, apparently. We called Kent, who gave us an estimate of cost over the phone and came out first thing Monday morning. He made the repair in about 20 minutes, explained everything, and actually ended up charging us less than he originally estimated. Talk about outstanding customer service.....I was able to go online, pick my time slot, received conformation on my time slot. I didn't have to wait for a 4 hour window hoping someone to show during that time. For 2 years, I put off having my garage door repaired because I dreaded being sold a new system by a company with hired hands. I found Spring Kings here on Yelp, went to their website to try to get a feel for the type of company they are. My personal preference is to do business with owner-operators. I was very pleased when Kent (the owner) showed up, on-time for the appointment. He wasted no time, identified and fixed the issues, and made no attempts to up-sell. I would have preferred to spend no money at all, but can honestly say it was a pleasure paying Spring Kings to do the job. Ours was not the run of the mill problem, Door would open from the control panel but would not close from the remote and opened some time upon returning. I should have called him in first as spent extra bucks on a new remote that added expense and did not solved the problem. Kent found the cause, went immediately to purchase the fix and was back and completed the job in a few hours. He was thorough in explaining the issue and the fix. Spring Kings is GREAT! Kent gave me an idea what the issue might be over the phone. He called when he was on his way and showed up on time. He assessed the door, gave me a price that was reasonable and quickly got to work. When he was done he explained the exact problem, lubricated everything (which wasn't the issue but I was so thankful he did, what a nice surprise) and showed me how the door was back to normal again. Had a great experience with Spring Kings with a motor replacement! I had received the company from a referral and was very impressed. After contacting, I was quoted a fair price, they worked me into their schedule super quickly, confirmed the appointment and the technician even called me when they were on the way. Installation was completed in the quoted time and they even offered to help set up our cars/app (we had our garage converted into a "smart" garage). You needn't search any further for a garage door repair man! This guy Kent is the best there is. He came right on time, evaluated the issues, and discussed the best way to fix the problem. I needed new springs, new cables, rollers, eye sensor on one door and new metal top support and vertical support on the other door. He's a genius! Did all this in little under an hour and half.
