We had the pleasure of visiting this adorable family friendly farm in Rockwall this afternoon and…read morehad a great time! They were hosting and Easter themed event with egg hunts separated by appropriate age groups (our 4 and 2 year olds didn't feel rushed or left out), the Easter Bunny was also there to take photos (we stayed a friendly distance away LOL), spring florals, bluebonnets blooming along their large pond, petting zoo, and more! The price at the gate (note: they do not do advanced tickets) is $15 per person. I do think that's a bit steep, especially without offering discounted rates for little ones. I'm not sure if the vendors are always onsite but they had frozen lemonade and other food and drinks for sale during today's event. We didn't indulge but the line for lemonade seemed to run smoothly. Other offerings: pony rides at an addition cost (we passed on this), a gift shop, mini playground and bounce houses, and fair games. My kids actually enjoyed these festivities more than the egg hunt and the animals. According to Huddin's IG, they have around 250 animals on the farm! We got to feed the camels and goats. Beware, you are up close and personal with the animals. My husband had to handle all of the feeding because the ghosts jumped up on our kids which was a tad bit startling in the beginning. All of the staff members were really kind and made sure to man the gates for each animal section to keep everyone safe. Overall it was such an adorable experience and we're looking forward to visiting again.

Just Go (#19) In…read moreJuly 2016 from New Mexico we went East and explored a little bit of the Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Salt Flat TX. But my most memorable trip in The Lone Star State was during the Yelp Spring Break in San Antonio on May 2017. It was my 2nd YSB experience before Yelp discontinued them (not sure if they did permanently). Most of the events were centered in San Antonio. We held events in Downtown and the River Walk: * The Vistana - rooftop pool party * Food Tour that included samplings from Ocho (inside Hotel Havana), TacoLand Riverwalk, Paesanos Riverwalk, La Boulangerie, and Zinc Bistro & Wine Bar * Briscoe Western Art Museum - Dia de Los Muertos themed Fiesta for Cinco de Mayo * UYE at the Hard Rock Cafe * The St Anthony Hotel - masquerade ball * Hemisfair * UYE brunch at the Pigpen ... it was hott, hott, hott in San Antonio but we had so much fun! Everything's BIG in TEXAS! Our home away from home was at WorldMark New Braunfels. The unit had a maximum occupancy of 6. It was a freakin' house. LoL Between the YSBSA events we did a little exploring on our own: AT&T Center - Home of the San Antonio Spurs (at the time of our visit the Spurs were away playing Game 3 in Houston) San Antonio River Walk - iconic landmark The Alamo - historic! Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo Tower of the Americas Observation Deck / Chart House Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo Texas has a plethora of delish and famous foods, but the main two are Chili and BBQ. There's a first for everything... it was my first time having a kolache when we stopped at Shipley Donuts. Had Texas-style BBQ at Rudy's Country Store & BBQ in Selma and not too far from it we found a Boba Tea Lounge and got my boba fix ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Thank you, Great State of Texas! Review #2470

I've driven through Texas from West to East. It's huge! I have lots of cool Yelp Friends from Texas…read morethat keep me up to date on the attractions, food and so much more. There's so much to do and see in this state. It's such a diverse population there's plenty to enjoy. My favorite tourist destination is the Alamo. If I return to Texas I would go elsewhere. Until I can visit again I'll enjoying seeing this beautiful state on Yelp. I've seen enough of it by car! Next time I'll fly.

Upon entering their cafe/ gift shop, I noticed they had a Stranger Things Theme. There were a few families that were enjoying the large sitting area with couches, tables and table games. They really spent a long time crafting this theme and I really enjoyed all of the themed touches. I ordered a "Plain Jane" ice coffee which was delicious. You could see small pieces of graham cracker that added a good flavor. They had some baked goods available in addition to soda. They also offered a coffee flight which is something I would order if I was spending time with friends. There was one barista which did a great job keeping up with orders and communicating with customers. Next, I ventured out to check out their event space. They had an indoor event space with a shaded outdoor space right next to it with a bar area as well. After checking out the event space I looked at their flower, herbs and small cactuses outside the cafe. They had a small selection but good quality plants for a modest price. I also checked out their selection of pots and various plants outside the event space in additional to looking at their selection of trees and shrubs. Honey Locust would be a place I'd come to get coffee with friends as well as watch for any events they might have with the community. The theming they do in the coffee shop is fun and definitely worth coming to check out with your friends or family. All age levels would enjoy time here.
