I arrived a little bit before Rockwell opened this afternoon, which worked out okay as I sat outside on their patio. I enjoyed that quiet space for a bit and the afternoon air after the walk from Cortex made the wait feel intentional rather than inconvenient. Comfortable seating out here and the light breeze with the afternoon light was nice as I cranked out a few Yelp reviews before I spotted other customers going inside. After setting up at the huge table in the corner, I stepped up to the bar where I was warmly greeted. I chose their Fish Fry, which they call a light lager. It was in a huge mug and that worked out just fine for me as it lasted a while. Oh, and some chicken wings. These were tasty buggers. Served quite hot with a rub that was more spice than sauce. Very yummy and the two sauces were perfect accompaniment. Absolutely delicious. Not long after, friends arrived and I shifted from solo laptop time to conversation. It's nice to see how Rockwell handles the flow of customers. Casual, attentive, friendly. Just right for a great brewpub and a great time. They do have a parking lot. There's a 1984 one-hit-wonder named Rockwell whose paranoid earworm still lodges in your skull: I always feel like somebody's watching me. Rockwell Beer Company earns the association honestly. I walk in wary (I don't drink beer, don't like it, and an industrial brewery hugging a busy four-lane street is not my native habitat), I get the sense I need to eat in the corner so people don't discover the non-beer drinker; however, I walked out humming. The reason is the food, sourced through Street Food by Brasas. This is not brewery food that apologizes for itself. Pretzels, wings, both worth ordering again. The pizzas (barbecue, pepperoni) land in that rare category of elevated bar snack. I'd happily return for a table's worth. It's order at the window food service, which is fine for their vibe, but it keeps the environment to a self-service lower warmth environment. We sat outside, which is nice IF you can find some shade on a hot summer evening. 3.9 out of 5 stars The atmosphere isn't built for me, but the kitchen is good enough that I'd get over it to spend an evening with my beer-drinking friends. Rockwell is always a good time. Whenever you come, you'll have some tasty food and a refreshing adult beverage in a open minimalist atmosphere. The acoustics at times are loud, but you can still hear your friends gathered around the table. My recent visit as always, was to meet-up with some friends. I started out with a Raspberry Beret one of their specialty cocktails. It was my favorite vodka, Tito's with Raspberry syrup and lemon. It was shaken, not stirred and severed up like a martini. Prince would have given it a thumbs up. After some intense conversations with my buds, I ordered some food and a beer. I typically get their famous burger with fries or the chicken wings, but I got adventurous and ordered the nachos. When I asked the bartender how they were, he said that's what he was having for dinner and showed me his plate which sold me. It may have only been an appetizer, but it was filling and easy to eat while enjoying more convo. I'm a fan of Avery Brewing in Colorado, so I had their White Rascal as my beer. Rockwell is so close to getting a 5 Star rating from me, but they keep missing the mark on the customer service. It's good, but some of the staff treat older customers differently then those their age. This visit, one of them was cold and had attitude. After a few tips, they warmed up and provided friendly service and actually got chatty. So I think next time, they may just get the bump to 5. read more

The beer was great! The tacos were $5 higher than the price on the website. We had looked up the menu before we went. Felt a little like a bait and switch. The first two bites I thought the tacos were good. But the heat/spice kept building. So much so, that I thought to myself I wished I could get a glass of milk from the bar. My mouth was burning and my nose started to run. There wasn't anywhere mentioned that it would be a spicy dish or any mention of controlling the amount of spice/heat I would prefer. I most likely will never order the food again as the tacos, quesadillas, and sandwiches all shared the same basic ingredients just in different forms. If you like it spicy then you'll be alright. Came here for a large group celebration. We were able to reserve tables in advance. Because it wasn't a busy day they allowed us to use their private party area, which was really nice and closer to their beer making area. They have a lot of different bites on the menu to go along with their large drink selection. They have parking on either side of the restaurant, which was very nice. Hadn't made it over to Rockwell Beer Company in a minute. I was excited to see that Brasas had taken over their kitchen, I was a big fan of their food while they were located at Perennial. Their menu here has similar flavors but a lot of new options. I decided to try the Peruvian Street Burger- messy but delicious! My partner loved the Carne Asada tacos as well. Great place for a burger, especially for the lunch special pricing. Very quick service, kind people. More like 4.5 stars - knocked down for some watery lemonade described below, but I bet with a soda or beer this would be a clear 5 stars. The burger bun is light and fluffy, the beef is tasty, and the shoestring fries are hot and crunchy. My uncle got bacon added to his cheeseburger and said it was delicious with a good portion of bacon. Disappointed by the strawberry lemonade - it's advertised as homemade, but on further inquiry it's a premade mix. This should be more clear from the get go. Price in the brewery for the food was quite a bit higher than the price on the website which was surprising since this vendor has not been here long. Chicken tacos on the website were $11, they were actually $16. Very good portions but let's face it, an $8 taco is getting pretty pricey. They were good but way too spicy for the average person and I like spicy food. Beers were good and were happy hour priced at $2 off ( but I had to ask for the happy hour price as they rung up at regular price). Especially enjoyed the Vienna Express. Serving some really good beer, decent cocktails, and some tasty bar food, this is a brewery you should definitely check out. Service provided at the counter where you order your drinks and food. Food was delivered to our table, but sometimes I believe you pick it up in the back. Their cocktails include an old-fashioned that was really tasty. I have enjoyed the double smash burgers with cheese. Try the loaded french fries as they are excellent with a very tasty beer cheese. Their hummus is somewhat on the basic side. Their fried pickles are tasty, but I suspect they may be pre ofrozen The overall setting is casual. Since we've been here only in the winter, we haven't been outside yet. Togo selection has been lacking. They use to have a great selection. The fact you can only pick it up when the bar is open isn't super convenient since they reduced their hours either. They should sell togo out of Francis park. read more

Not a big fan of their chicken here. The wings are subpar at best, there are better options out there. The chicken fingers are chewy, the breading separates with the meat when you pick it up. The only thing I enjoyed is their beer. The service is also prompt, although you have to pick your own food at the corner. Inside the restaurant is also a good part of this place. This was my second time here in a week. I was greeted as soon as I sat down at the bar. The cider beers are surprisingly DELISH! I decided to return for Hoppy Hour. I sat at the bar and ordered the Cider with Yuzu and Ginger. I've never had such an amazing palate-pleasing cider beer before. The taste was surprisingly refreshing. I ordered the pretzels and beer cheese as my accompaniment. It started getting a little crowded around the bar. People don't seem to know etiquette. I know you need to order, but standing over people is rude and not moving whenever I needed to get out of my chair was frustrating. I received a text that my pretzels were done. I go to pick them up and discovered someone had taken them. Oddly enough, the ladies sitting a seat over from me had a fresh basket of pretzels...I had to wait a few more minutes on a new order. Once received, they were DELISH! I think they're fried. I'd never had a fried pretzel before. Great touch. I think Rockwell is my new spot for a refreshing cider beer and fried pretzels. read more

Went to the Francis Park Biergarten and had a really nice pizza and drink. The outdoor atmosphere was great and the air was crisp. They called last call so we decided to visit the mothership in St. Louis. The place is a good size with outdoor seating. We decided to stay indoors. I have to say it was not what I expected after visiting the Biergarten. The young lady at the bar was not personable and seemed impatient. We asked for the brisket pizza and they were out of brisket. Don't ask for sausage. They don't have it. We were going to get another and then she remembered they don't have mozzarella. Pizza is out. We decided to opt for drinks only. We paid. My son received his. She went off to serve the customers in the bar area their food. We waited and when she finally returned we stood there wondering where our drinks were. She literally slapped her head just realizing she forgot to serve them. Won't be back. Ever. read more

You order food and drinks; get the drink immediately, they text you when the food is ready. Overall it's a great place to sit out and have some drinks. Unassuming location in "container" buildings, this brewery has been around since 2018 - not sure why it took me so long to find it and try it, but really enjoyed my visit to this local and spacious craft brewery! Good beer variety, with decent hoppy IPA selections - am confident beer fans will find something good to try! Simple menu of hot sandwich foods and sides available; wonderful Burger, Fried Chicken sandwich and Shoestring fries to complement a cold one! Overall, 4.25 rated for me on beers, ambience and excellent food; service was efficient, just order and pay at the bar. Expect to pay $8-12 for a sandwich, $5-7 for sides or salads from Brasswell. Got a "flight" to taste a variety, then chose our favorites to order a pint! I liked their 2 American IPA's, easy to drink and not overly hoppy flavors. But plenty of good choices depending your flavor preferences. Mushroom Swiss burger was excellent, and can order single or double patties; burger was tender and flavorful. Personally, I thought the Fried Chicken Sando was fantastic if you crave fried Chicken breast with pickle, aioli, arugula and honey on Brioche - I could've eaten 2 altho not such a very healthy sando. I haven't been to this brewery in forever and a friend suggested it and I was thrilled because I have been missing out. The beer list is very unique and interesting. I love the variety of styles of beer. I tried one of the sour ales and it was delish ! We sat outside by the fire pit and I loved the ambiance. Rockwell Beer Company has been a stand out in the Grove since its opening in 2018. This has been largely due to its exceptional food offerings, spacious interior and exterior layout, and array of craft beer and cocktails. This week, Rockwell relaunched its expanded menu after taking over food operations from its former partners at Niche Food Group. The expanded menu includes casual bites such as appetizers, sandwiches and salads. To get a feel for the new menu, I ordered the Korean style fried chicken sandwich and bowl of fries. It should have raised a red flag when the employee did not recommend it; however, I went in with an open mind as the fried chicken sandwich was my favorite item prior to the shift in kitchen operations. Overall, the sandwich was edible, however, there is a notable decline when compared to the previous version offered by Brasswell. This proved to be particularly disappointing given that the price point remained the same at $25. Aside from the food, I enjoyed my experience at Rockwell. I hope they can overcome the initial challenges associated with the shift in kitchen operations. read more

First time here, we'll return! We used our Pub Passports for Velour Tracksuit IPA, and a porter. Both very good! Our lunch consisted of a Brat burger, Rockwell burger, and fries. The Brat burger is a smashed pork burger, tastes like a Brat, sauerkraut, cheese, mustard. The Rockwell burger has 2 patties, bacon/onion relish. The fries were thin and crispy. The bartender was very helpful, service was quick and friendly. The cool thing about this place is that it incorporates shipping containers in the building. I typically get the "passing clouds" beer and find it really refreshing. The outside is really nice whether it's summer or winter (they have fire pits outside). It's a perfect place whether you are with friends, family or pets. There's plenty of room for everyone. You can't miss the shipping container! Rockwell recently opened up their own kitchen, after separating from Basswell by Niche and I visited their brewery to check out the new menu. I ordered The Rockwell Burger which included 2 smash patties, bacon onion jam, and blue cheese. There was quite a bit of bacon onion jam and the blue cheese did not go well together with the flavors of the bacon onion jam and burger. The fries were fine but nothing to write home on. For a drink, the bartended recommended the Dark & Stormy NA drink as she mentioned it was her favorite. The drink had a cough syrup flavor to it and I did not finish it. I was very excited to try Rockwell's new food menu but was sadly disappointed. They were still charging Brasswell prices but with food that was so steeply decreased in quality. I have been wanting to go to this brewery for quite awhile. I often drive by and see people on the patio having what looks like a great time. My husband and I finally visited on a Friday night. First the good part! The place is very trendy and fun atmosphere. People are dining/drinking and playing board games at the table. The patrons ranged from couples, to tables of adults and families with young children. There is a corner of the bar stacked with board games. Music is playing. However, the place is large enough you can comfortably have a conversation. You order your food/drinks at the bar. I ordered the Patio Potion which is a gose with grapefruit. My first taste, I loved it. But, it ended up do tart that my husband had to help me finish. Now, the not so good part. My husband ordered the double classic burger and I ordered a single impossible burger. We split an order of fries (basket size) and a package of two chocolate chip cookies. A text tells you your food is ready. We were confused where to pick up. It is a counter at the far end of the bar. The food was very underwhelming. The burgers are incredibly thin. And, the skinny fries were blah...we felt we could have gotten a better fast food burger and fries. The cookies seemed homemade and were not bad. The burgers here are good but the fries are amazing. I ordered a double cheeseburger but a single would have been plenty. With the fries make sure to try the garlic aioli sauce. The sauce is also good on the burger. For a brewery they have a good selection of drinks beside beer. I got the cider and it was good. The vibe is relaxed.
