Even though we didn't sit outside, they had the doors open, so we still got plenty of fresh air with a bit of warmth. It was my first time trying escargot, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was tasty with the butter, garlic, and parsley. I also had the mixed greens salad with fried goat cheese and added chicken. The staff was a bit off...it took a while for someone to come to our table, and they cleared everything while we stepped away to the bathroom even though we weren't finished. Not ideal it. Went to here for the first time for a date and it was such a good choice. It's the perfect happy hour spot. We sat outside on the patio and the weather was amazing. The waiter and waitress were both really nice and friendly! We ordered a few things to share like the salmon appetizer and the pear prosciutto pizza and both were super good. We all got pizza and it was delicious, I got the bacon pesto pizza! Turns out Tuesday is all day happy hour so my friends got some wine and mojito that they really enjoyed, I did not get anything because the mocktails costs nearly the same as the cocktails which doesn't seem kinda a stretch given alcohol is what makes cocktails expense. Marrow bone was a terrific surprise, and perfect with the soft fluffy bread. My husband had his eye on that chocolate cake from the famous Cravings, from the beginning, These photos are from yesterday, when the bartender--whose name I didn't catch--jumped in to help, and recommended an excellent Pinot noir, and our server, Trevor, was attentive and prompt. Soft, tangy cheese crisped within a perfectly crunchy outer coating, balsamic glazed arugula and some delicious prosciutto. YUM. The pear pizza was good too. We came for lunch before a matinee show at the Fox - this spot has been on my radar for a while because we don't live very far from it. It's a really cool, unique spot with an awesome patio. The aesthetic captures the history of the building well, it feels very France in the 1940's which was awesome. We came in at open and one other couple was at the bar. I'm not sure if they weren't staffed or what but we had to ask for service. And the service didn't get better even when we asked for it. We didn't have water refilled once. The food was great but we didn't really try any cool cocktails or anything because it was more work than not to get the attention of anyone. Staff are friendly and greet you as soon as you enter. Each time I have visited there has been open tables and we were seated quickly. They have a large selection of wine by the glass and bottles. I love trying new things each time I am there! They also have a great cocktail list and full bar if wine is not your thing. In addition to great wine, they also have delicious food! I have had the creole shrimp beignets, goat cheese salad and the prosciutto and pear pizza. I enjoyed this food so much I ordered it again on a second visit. It was plenty to share between two people. I brought family on the second visit and they too were impressed with the food and wine! Came to Scarlett's yesterday afternoon/ early evening for a working happy hour. It's such a great place and so centrally located for lots of neighborhoods in the city. They offer $7 glasses of wine for HH, some select cocktails, and some beer. They also offer $5 off boards for snacking. I got Cabernet for my drinks and my work associate got the sangria. Searching for a spot to have my retirement celebration, this was one of the few places in the city that didn't require me to pay a mandatory charge for a certain size party. They held a spot for us near the back with a table for 15. The waiter was new but attentive and with the experience of a team member who was more experienced was able to keep up with our orders and though we all had separate checks there was no confusion at the end of the meal a huge plus. The service was quick, the pizza was amazing! While ordering through the tablet, I didn't realize there is uncooked cheese on everything(personal preference).
