I originally came to Rocky Mount Eye for a 2nd opinion. I had been told that I had diabetic neuropathy, even though I was not diabetic. I had the good fortune to get Dr. Shepard. He did an exam and found no evidence of diabetic neuropathy. Years later I did become diabetic. When I told Dr. Shepard, he shared with me his experience, and why one of his professional interests is diabetic neuropathy. It was reassuring to learn this information and I really felt that my eyes were and are in good hands. He and his staff take very good care of my eyes. read more

Employees are helpful and friendly. There is on-site parking so it's a breeze to get in and out of the office. No one returned to the phone and I'm currently sitting waiting in the lobby while waiting on hold and no one has come back to the phone. No I am not hanging up, I will show them my time. I been going here every since I was a teenager. Never had a problem until now. Some of the woman there was not friendly. I went over to the other side to get glasses. I had to wait in line. And they had another line for people who was walking in. This lady came in after I was seated and went before me. I was really upset.
