My wife bought a small bag of chocolate covered raisins, and I bought the Peanut Butter Chocolate covered Apple, which is huge. Kelly told me all the Apples are done at the location fresh. I was highly disappointed with this chocolate shop. We had gone in because I wanted a little bit of dessert without having another meal. I ordered 3 truffles and some dog treats. They charge you by the weight of what you get. The truffles weren't that big, but were pretty dense, so I was thinking maybe $12 for the three truffles and the dog treats. Nope it ended up being $25. Literally it was three truffles and Milkbone Dog treats dipped in some dog friendly coating. I'm going to be honest, I really didn't think it was worth $25 at all. Was it good? Sure it was good... it was delicious. But, so it Lindt for a fraction of the cost. If I'm spending $25 (actually $19 because we did have the dog treats in there and I knew what I was getting into when I purchased those, I just love to spoil my dog) on candy, it better be the best candy of my life and this just wasn't. It was tasty, but nothing I haven't had before or could have again for less. The staff behind the counter was very nice though and created a nice vibe in the store. read more

Can't really balk at the prices when the chocolate is as good as it is...Staff is super-friendly every time we come in. Very appreciative of the fact that they are open pretty late when you're looking for a late-night snack while walking around Galena. The chocolate is consistently delicious, very large variety and top-notch on the taste scale. We look forward to returning here for our evening treats every night we stay in Galena. How can you have signs posted no mask no service and then you walk in and the two girls behind the counter making candy apples aren't wearing gloves or wearing masks? They were even having a conversation with an older gentleman who was wearing a mask. Then the employees eyeball you weird and give you attitude when you decide to leave. This is one of the nicer Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory establishments that I have been to. I would recommend going, but be cognizant of the fact that with due right - it's expensive. I got 1/2 of orange peel, 1 regular Carmel apple, and a small portion of popcorn for $30. That was split between 4 people, so not bad, but definitely a bit more expensive then other places. read more

My b/f and I stopped in here while staying in Galena, and I must say they are pretty pricey!! But their fudge is so yummy! They have this special going on if you buy 1lb of fudge you get 1/2lb free. I have to admit the 1lb of fudge is small. We did the special and my b/f got 2 Peanut Butter Cups (which are enormous!) and it all came to $22. If your ever in Galena I highly recommend you stop in and get their Walnut Fudge.. :) The Best!! read more

My husband and I stopped here to pick up some noms to munch on the tour we were headed to. The young lady working the counter was on her cell phone, and after about 5 minutes of waiting I told her we had to go, so could we order? She got all huffy with us, for lack of a better word, he behavior was down right bratty. She whines that she was on the phone with her manager, thrown our order on the counter with no bag, slams down the can of coke, and picks up her phone again. We definitely will not inconvenience her with our business again. I hope the owner reads this and gets this girl some customer service training. read more

Sure Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is a chain but they do have really great treats. I do think it is a bit funny that they opened up a store in Galena as it is no where near the Rocky Mountains. I love the chocolate covered marshmallows and the fudge is amazing. The prices are fairly high so be forewarned. I usually only get a small treat here but if you were buying a bunch or for a family it could get very expensive quickly. read more

This place had SO many goodies inside--it was hard to choose exactly what I wanted. The prices were pretty reasonable compared to other chocolate specialty shops I've previously come across (including one right down the street that charged $1.75 for ONE truffle) so I just had to buy something from this place. I must say that the chocolate covered chocolate chip cookies are AMAZING. Words don't even do it justice. Although it costs $5, it is well worth the price as the cookie is MASSIVE and has about a quarter inch of chocolate on either side of the cookie. I also bought a milk chocolate bar with almonds and it was a great deal for $2.50. This place has some of the best chocolate I've had and I would definitely shop here again! read more

The best thing about this place are the chocolate covered strawberries and the candy apples. The bon bon's are not all that great they seem to all have the same filling just a different shell. This place is a little pricey for chocolate, but if you're getting some sort of chocolate covered fruit it is well worth it the fruit is plump and juicey and the chocolate is a great match! read more

I really liked their truffles they had all different kinds. Even Kahlua and rum ones. Its a pricey place though. $2.75 for one truffle. The shop is cute inside and they have lots of selections. They even had sugar free candy as well. read more
