I've been plenty of times, and I've gotten a variety of things from chocolate covered strawberries, pretzels, and even chocolate covered bacon. This trip, I opted for a chocolate caramel apple. I had it sliced for easy consumption. The apple was juicy, slightly tart and covered in a decadent chocolate and gooey caramel. Pure goodness! This is a really great chocolate shop located in the excellent and lavish Memorial City Mall in Houston. You'll find a lot of great products in here, pricy but tasty and some of the better chocolate made in the USA. Like Dove and Ghirardelli, which are both cheaper and tasty, but I think European chocolate is way better and these are really expensive so be warned. Lindt is the way to go but this is worth trying too. read more

A very good friend of mine was feeling down and I knew one of her favorite things was candied apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Being the amazing friend that I am, I set out on a mission to get her a candied apple. This location is located in Memorial City Mall and easy to find. I came towards the end of the business day and the store still had plenty to choose from. I know now that if I ever had a sweet tooth for good chocolate or sweets, this is a great spot for different options. I got a regular caramel apple for her and I got a Snickers apple for later for myself. They will cut your apple for you if you so desire, but I kept it in tack just for presentation purposed. Bad decision on my part because its not so easy to eat fully intact. Get it cut! This was my first time in my life having a candied apple and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely an indulgence, but worth it every once in awhile. I'm sure I will make it back in here at some point! read more

Yes, it's not big deal and it's an acquired taste but if you want to get a taste than head over to this location that is inside Memorial City Mall. I didn't give the 4 stars just for a little ol Orange Peel Chocolate but it sure helped and will be something I will always remember when that craving comes along. There of course are loads of other chocolate neats that one would find unique and remember like the Chocolate Covered Twinkie and the vast assortment of non chocolate sweets to follow. Customer service......it's all over the spectrum as I have read but the younger guy that served me was let's say "pretty cool". I didn't get the butler type notion that "our chocolates are fancy and so is my language skills" spiel nor did I get the "Yo man, whatcha want from the case" type neither. We requested $6 worth of Chocolate Orange Peels and when he went to put it in our bag, we noticed he was wearing some type of wax paper glove/wrapper to get them in there. That makes a big difference if you are a squeemish germ jerk like I am and he passed the test. Prices, you are in a gourmet chocolate store, the cheaper chocolates are down the road at the .99 cent store and remember, speckled white on one end of your chocolate is not a good thing. Terrible visit, at the George Bush Airport Location only, not knocking other locations but tried calling the Denver customer service line and reporting their shady business practices, and they seemed fine with it! So In my opinion... all are guilty by association! At this location. I picked up a box of assorted chocolates that was priced by a sign by it for $16.99. It rang up $18.99. I noticed it when it rang up, but thought I might have saw it wrong at the display. After I paid, I returned to the display and saw I was correct with my price of $16.99 and returned and told the clerk of her mistake. She got defensive, and told me I was mistaken, I told her about the sign, she told me the price must have gone up. I told her I didn't care, it still was advertised for $16.99, then she told me that was then with tax! I then asked her, why then was I charge another $1.57 in tax? She then told me she would refund my money. I told her I didn't want a refund, I wanted her to change her sign as it was incorrect. She then told me to have a good day. I call a store in Houston to get a customer service line and did. That CS line was concerned, but said they could not do anything and directed me to the corporate office in Denver. After speaking to that person, who displayed absolute utter apathy! I knew that this company condones practices like this! So customers BEWARE! I have become addicted to the Cheesecake Caramel apple. I started out getting just one but I have grown to get 6 at a time. I drive all the way from the Woodlands to get these. I have 3 cut and 3 not. They obviously brown after a couple days if you don't eat them once they're cut hence why I get some uncut. The caramel is Devine and does not stick to your teeth like traditional caramel apples and the chocolate paired is perfection. This has replaced birthday cakes and Popular Bundt cakes. I only wished that they'd open more stores closer to the Northside of Houston aka the Woodlands. It would surely do well. read more

I bought some Twinkies from here. They were covered in yellow icing, made to look like Stuart and Kevin the Minions. I thought they were adorable. However, they tasted terrible! I picked the icing off to see if the Twinkie was edible, only to find a very dry cake and dry cream. I don't eat Twinkies often but I believe they're suppose to be spongy and soft. I let my mom try the Minion Twinkie and her comment was, "Why are you feeding me year old Twinkies?!" I cannot believe they're selling STALE Twinkies at $4 a piece. What a rip off!!! read more

This past weekend I stopped by this location and had to have a sweet snack, what better way to fulfill your cravings than having some awesome milk chocolate! I selected the toffee milk chocolate bar along with the milk chocolate walnut piece. Not one regret on my selection but do be aware... it can get pricey if not careful. The chocolate is priced by weight and there are also selections that are priced by piece. I spent about 11 bucks for 3 pieces of chocolate but it was well worth it! To justify my actions I go further in saying that... how often does one really spend that much on chocolate? Not very often so why not indulge on those days that you feel you deserve it :) The small shop in the mall is cute, fun and has lots of variety to choose from. I am giving this place a five star review because of the clean environment, also its very affordable and delicious. what stand's out the most from this place is the professionalism expressed by the employees with a very welcoming attitude you will feel right at home. Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory is also very affordable and theres always something Gourmet and delicious for everyone my favorite thing to get right now is the frozen cheesecake, and the Tamarindo apples are great it truly gives you that authentic hispanic taste, and the Chamoy on top is the icing on the cake. Visited Rocky Mountain chocolate factory at Memorial City Mall for the first time and undoubtedly the last one. I asked the cashier if they they offer samples of the chocolates they have on display and his answer was "HELL NO! CHOCOLATE IS TO EXPENSIVE TO DO THAT" I decided to buy 8 chocolates and when processing my payment he rudely sat the receipt on the desk and throw the pen on top of the receipt and walked away. I signed my receipt and asked if there was a manager. His answer was "MANAGER IS NOT HERE DO U HAVE A PROBLEM" I decided to walk away before saying something else. This happened on 12/03/14 around 6:30pm and according to my receipt Omar A was the cashier. So sad that such a good chocolate place has such a bad customers service! read more
