From the moment you walk in, you can tell this bakery takes pride in every detail -- from the aroma of freshly baked bread to the friendly service at the counter. The bread selection is outstanding, with perfectly crusty artisan loaves that stay soft and flavorful inside. Their pastries and croissants are equally impressive -- buttery, flaky, and baked to golden perfection. Got their German Chocolate cake for my birthday and it was hands down one of the best cakes I've ever had. Real ingredients too; this thing must have weighed 20 pounds. Unfortunately my homemade bread I promised to bring just did not bake like I wanted, so I headed to Three Brothers to help save the day. When you walk in, the flow of the bakery is well marked and laid out, so I headed to the counter and was greeted promptly. I explained my dilemma and was shown all of their bread options that day. I opted for a dozen challah rolls, half plain and half sesame. And a large cappuccino for me :). Service was prompt, friendly, and got the job done. Customer service was the worst i have ever experienced at this location waited over 10 minutes, before we were even acknowledged, there was another employee standing there on her phone didn't even turn around knowing the place was busy. After the gentleman was able to help he went into the back to grab my order. 2 other women finally came out of the back, chatting then finally asked if I needed help which I was at that point finally getting help so they proceeded to ask the other 3 customers in line. I ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. The cake looked amazing, but it had a really odd chemical taste. Maybe they used way too much lemon extract, but the cake was not edible. Everyone who tried it just couldn't get past more than one bite. It was very disappointing. The service was fine, and everyone was friendly. The cake was ready on time, but it was just awful to taste. We've ordered here before and never had a problem like this, so I'm hoping it was just an off day. Three Brothers Bakery spans several locations and has been a Houston staple for decades. This location is the closest to me. I stopped by to pick up some delicious goodies during the holidays. They didn't have what I was looking for, but I ended up trying some hamatachen cookies. When I asked about the country of origin of these cookies, the employee didn't know, and she kind of left it at that. Another employee did come back later and told me they were Jewish cookies. They offered traditional varieties like prune, poppy seed, and fruit flavors but also offered hazelnut and s'mores varieties. The cookies were excellent and not too sweet! Besides cookies, they offer a variety of baked goods including loaves of bread, danishes, cupcakes, pound cake, and more. Definitely worth a visit to satisfy that sweet tooth. read more

There is a wide variety of desserts to choose from to satisfy your sweet tooth. While some look really appetizing, some not so. I had the carrot cupcake, strawberry cupcake, lady finger, and mini cannoli. The carrot cupcake base was flavorful. I could taste the carrots and spices in the cake. But the frosting was way too sweet. It was just plain frosting by the way. The strawberry cupcake base didn't taste much of real strawberries. So after a couple of spoons, I was done with it. The mini cannoli was ok. The shell was snappy which was good. As for the lady finger, it was crumbly and soft. I like it. But the chocolate ganache at the tip, and the chocolate filling in between were tasteless. There was no sweetness to it. So either I got super sweet or tasteless desserts here. read more

I came here on 8/6/2023 in the afternoon for the first time as I was in the area looking for a cafe to get some work done. The service was 10/10, I was immediately greeted by Abraham who helped me through my order. Abraham was very professional, great customer-service and friendly. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with an iced caramel latte & it was so delicious! There's plenty of seating inside, the ambiance gives off a pleasant and vibrant atmosphere with light music playing inside. There's also a few tables and chairs for outdoors. I didn't know their pecan pie is an award winning pie so we'll have to come back and try one. They have SO MANY options to choose from and all of their sweets look amazing! Been wanting to try this bakery since we moved to Houston and we finally had some time to stop in after their remodel. BTW, the remodel produced an Instagram worthy space and it's a pretty gorgeous space to hang out in. The morning we stopped in we were full from breakfast at Flying Biscuit so I decided we would just get a slice of pecan pie and so glad that I did because it was hands down the best pecan pie I've ever had. From the first bite, I was blown away by the richness and depth of flavor. The filling was perfectly sweet without being too sweet, and the pecans were fresh and perfectly toasted. The crust was flaky and buttery, with just the right amount of crunch. What really set this pecan pie apart, however, was the attention to detail and the use of high-quality ingredients. For some people they might not like this taste but I could literally taste the butter melting in my mouth. Yum! I regretted not buying an entire pie lol. Overall, I highly recommend Three Brothers Bakery to anyone looking for pecan pie. The pecan pie alone is worth a visit and if you have a bigger appetite everything else on the menu looks equally impressive. Looking forward to my next visit where I can try more! read more

If you like your pastries cold, hard and dry, this is the place for you. I have tried different items several times, hoping to find something I like but it was always the same. My husband loves the brownies so that's one star for that but I haven't found anything I like here. The pastries just don't seem fresh to me. A croissant should not be hard and dry and if it were fresh, I don't think it would be refrigerated. It seems more like a week old pastry, along with all of the pastries I have tried. I would never go here for myself. There are many other bakeries around with fresh pastries. read more

It is located very close to memorial mall on the corner in a plaza. The mini pecan pies are so good! They have a perfect crust to filling ratio. The pie slices have more of the filling but I prefer the minis. I got the regular pecan pie slice but I heard the salted caramel is very good. Can't wait to try that one next time. read more

I picked up a pound of voodoo brew roasted at their Braeswood blvd. location. I've tried and enjoyed these whole beans from Costa Rica and Nicaragua. They only thing I would do differently Is put a roast date and a use by date on each bag. FYI....the bag I bought was fresh. Items I've liked and would recommend: the different ruggelahs and crossings, the peanut butter cookie, the cake balls, the rainbow cookie, and especially the rum balls. They also have various pies and cakes, but they tend to be a tad too sweet for me. But they do the cookies and other pastries really well. I decided to visit three brothers after passing by more than countless times. I was in need for a cup of coffee and a few cookies so why not? I ordered cup of latte and a few cookies - rainbow cookies and almond cookies. The rainbow cookie I had was alright. I wish I had the almond cookies before I gave them to my wife though. Anyhow, I think my wife liked the almond cookies. Latter was alright and I had no complaint. The whole order costed me around $11 which was reasonable. The cookies was around $2 / piece and you can do the math on my cup of latter. Overall, it was very reasonable price. I probably come back and try different things. read more
