I love this place. The staff is friendly and helpful, the service department gets repairs done right the first time and the team is extremely responsive and flexible, even on short notice. We've only been once so far and it turned out ok after a few miscommunications on scheduling and the readiness of the parts needed. We have not been here before, having used a smaller place in Boulder for decades that had closed at the retirement of the wonderful owner. So then, a bit of an adjustment to a bigger place in Boulder that has also now closed. So out we went to Longmont after making arrangements by phone. It was minor service but it needed to be done. Once we straightened out who we actually were when we arrived and set up the parts needed, we could be flexible about it not getting done in one day as originally promised. They were a bit behind on work to be done ahead of us and had not told us to pay in advance for the parts needed to be set up. The bike was ready by midday the next day which is an easier pick up time for us anyway than late in the day at closing. Since it's a half hour ride to Longmont on the very busy Diagonal Highway, depending on direction and time of day, we need to plan it. I understand from staff that if this old bike ever needs work when it is not operational, they can pick it up for a fee. The price seemed fair for that service as well as the work done on this visit and everyone was polite, with a smile and the bike is now running well. In the future we will be sure to have confirmation on what, if anything, needs to be paid for in advance. That was not something we thought to ask about as our previous service facilities for the last 30 years had never asked for this arrangement. read more

The other day I called Rocky Mountain Kawasaki and asked if one of the salesmen could look-up a price for a used bike that I was thinking about buying. Allen the person that helped me, nicely explained that the bike I was looking at was too old to be listed in the NADA book, however, his knowledge and kindness led to a nice conversation of things to look out for on this particular make and model. Always efficient and thorough when servicing my motorcycle while often exceed expectations when they give me a "finished by" timeframe. I recently made my first visit to RMK to have a new tire installed. I hate to pay to have a tire mounted, but this particular tire was a real bear to mount with my spoons without puncturing the tube. To my amazement the price for them to RR my tube was fair. Many shops these days really gouge on tire mounting (especially if you don't buy it from them) but RMK treated my fairly and got my new tube and tire mounted in short order. Their customer service was also very good, the staff was prompt to answer the phone and greet you as soon as you walk in the door. While browsing their used bike selection, I was also surprised to see their prices were on par or better than what guys are selling their used bikes for on the private marketplace. I wouldn't hesitate to do business here again. One of the few good bike shops left. read more

I have never been to a motorcycle dealership that was so friendly and comfortable. There's none of the scorn that you get walking into some dealerships, even when it becomes clear that today you are looking and not buying. Their staff are eager, cheerful, and helpful no matter what part of the store you're in. Recently, my front brake started to feel softer than normal, and I was near the shop so I swung by. The service department pulled me in almost immediately and checked it out. A half an hour and a round of new brake fluid later and I was back on the road. I went here to get my tires balanced and they ended up calling back a few hours later and telling me i need to change my rear tire because it was shot. The tire was not shot. Short story. I came back 4 days later to pick my wheels and old tire up and they tell me that they cant not find my "old torn up rear tire". 20 minutes go by of more looking and then proceed to tell me that their "tire pick up guy came today actually", and that they dont have it any more. then proceed to tell me what the "problem was with my old tire" again. Simply a bunch a sleazy mechanics with a brand name title and they made me buy a new tire and wouldnt show me my old. All I wanted to see was problem with my own eyes bc the old tire was practically new and i know i couldve used it again. I was just also down for a new rear tire. I bought a used CBR from them that had just put a new motor in, WITH NO FAIRING STAYS! They attached the plastics to each other with windscreen bolts and they ripped off the first time I got on the highway. I could have been seriously hurt or killed, or caused a car accident. About 1 1/2 yrs ago I bought my first bike from RMK. I thought they where a real stand up place. They worked well with me getting the bike to a price we where both happy with or so I thought, till I went to get tags and spent 560.00 for them on a 6500 dollar bike. I bring this up now because I just bought a new bike that was more expensive and paid 152.00 for tags. This made me really realize that they got me to the price we where both happy with by not charging me taxes so I got hit with them when I got tags , so I would say their sales department is pretty sneaky and dishonest On another note their parts and service are a very good group of people to deal with read more

I've been going to this shop for several years and I have owned five different motorcycles. This is the only place I trust to do work on my bike I can't do myself. I find their repair costs to be quite reasonable. Prices on parts can be high but I have been successful in negotiating. They don't have a huge selection of accessories but they are usually willing to order for you. read more

I have gone to this dealership for several years. The Staff there is always friendly and competent. They seem to have a knack for hiring younger folks that may not be as knowledgable as some of the older motor heads that have been around the biz for awhile, but they are always eager to please and refer to someone more knowledgable if they can't answer a question. I sold a KLR a few years back and moved up to a Vstrom 1000, after being unhappy with the service at a Suzuki dealership, I inquired about having the bike serviced at RMK. I'm pretty mad at this place. I paid about 45$ to have the mirrors I already purchased put on my bike, simple task and I just wanted wider ones for safety but they were incorrectly put on. I leave and ride not even a mile before the extremely loose mirror fell down. It's just frankly embarrassing that a dealership would put the life of a Kawasaki rider in danger and as anyone will tell you rearview mirrors are extremely important. It sucks I can't trust this dealer to just check their work, it would have literally taken a minute to do. read more

Absolutely the worst service department along the front range! I had my bike in three times for the same problem. Listened to Jason a mechanic lie about the work he didn't do. The service manager tried to make it as if he was doing me a favor by fixing the bike after being in there for a third time. That mechanic was stealing money from me and he didn't get fired. Next, I was lied to about the expected date my part was to arrive. I just got off the phone with Rocky Mountain Kawasaki (R.M.K.) and they didn't want to work on my motorcycle. A motorcycle repair shop said they didn't want to work on a motorcycle! My motorbike has been manufactured for over 70 YEARS and they said they wouldn't be able to get parts! HAH! They are still producing this bike! You have to pick up the phone and dial the dealer! You have got to be kidding, these guys are that lazy they don't want to make a living! If it isn't easy for them to rip you off they won't bother working on your MOTORCYCLE! Not happy. I called and made an appointment to drive all the way up from Denver to look at a bike. I drive all the way up and the bike's not there on the lot. It turns out that the owner and sales guy told another person that called to hurry because someone else was interested. Sure enough, the guy came in and bought it, and they didn't even take the time to call and tell me not to drive up. The owner was nice enough and apologized, but I wasted 2 1/2 hours of my time driving up and back because they couldn't pick up the phone. Not cool. read more

I wrote another review before this but now I am writing one to say that I am done taking anything here for repair. I spent over $200.00 on my quad. Told them it would run ok in town but wouldn't run in the mountains. The "mechanic" said just ride it down here. I took it up to ride in the mountains and it still has the same problem. I had asked the 1st. Time for them to jet it for high altitude. After bringing it back they said the jet did need replaced. They were supposed to do that the 1st. Time. And then said it would be another $50.00. I told them I would just come get it. I am done taking anything there. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone! Where do I begin.... I took my jet ski in for a carburetor issue. It was extremely hard to start, and it would not stay running. Two weeks later, they finally figured out that I had a cracked reed valve. Apparently the kid mechanic they have there took the carbs off and adjusted them 3 times before the owner told him to check the reed valves. I was charged for all 3 carb removals plus 2 trips to the lake. Then I look at the nearly $1000 bill and they put a new battery in my ski without my approval. My battery was less than a year old and was in great shape. I waited while they swapped out batteries. As I was leaving, the kid mechanic said "Let me know how it runs." Really?? Then I took my ski straight to the lake and put it in the water only to find out that the fuel switch is on reserve its nearly out of gas. Also the drain plug was left out, the choke cable was stuck, and my front water tight compartment was missing. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a service dept. I totally regret taking my jet ski to Rocky Mountain Kawasaki. read more

I went to Rocky Mountain Kawasaki because it was cheaper than anywhere else to have fork seals done. Turns out I was wrong. The fork seals costs me seventy dollars where everyone else quoted me 30 dollars. I could deal with that though. There are two charges for oil which seems odd to me. I also had them clean the carburetor due to my bike running like crap. They quoted me an hour and a half labor for carb cleaning which seems reasonable. Turns out they gouge you on that also. I paid for a new spark plug which was just put in the bike the day I dropped it off. They also charged for aviation fuel when the bike was full of good gas. The worse part...aviation fuel is not good for 4 strokes. Don't worry though, they charged me and never put aviation fuel in the tank. I confirmed it by smelling it and it was just regular gas. They shouldn't try that stunt to someone who has been around planes all his life and knows what aviation fuel smells like. When I asked the girl about the spark plug she goes "oh, well when we run carb cleaner through it can foul the plugs. You shouldn't be running carb cleaner through it. The hour and a half labor was to take it a part and make it right not try taking the cheap way out and still charge me. I will not be returning as a customer by any means. I am sadly disappointed with the entire experience. read more

Over the past couple years i have been in Colorado, this Kawi dealer has been decent. But I went in there today and have never been treated so bad by anyone in Customer Service. I needed to return a shift lever that did not fit my bike( I was told it would fit by one of their employees). The guy at the counter absolutely lost it. After harassing me for buying the wrong part, he waved the package in my face and harassed me more. When i told him i didnt want to order a new one, he harassed me for not wanting to order. He also harassed me for "destroying" the taped up shitty package that they sold to me in the first place. Long story short, I'll never ever return to this dealer again, and i hope the asshole loses his job. read more

My experience at Rocky Mountain Kawasaki - I have long been a supporter of local businesses, Rocky Mountain Kawasaki has been where I have bought the majority of my motorcycle gear and had service done on all of my bikes. We went to Rocky Mountain Kawasaki to look for a new ATV. We saw one that she liked and placed a deposit on the ATV. The deposit was to hold the ATV for up to seven days. The language on the contract states nothing about not receiving your deposit back, nor does it say anything about receiving a partial refund or store credit. We were told that if we let them know within seven days (which we did) we would have the deposit ($100) returned to us ( a check) at that time. Our reason for not purchasing the ATV from Rocky Mountain had nothing to do with the price. We found one at another local business that had more features, and was a better fit for her riding style. When we called to let them know that we were not getting that ATV that we had put the deposit on, we were informed that we would NOT receive a full refund on the deposit, and we MIGHT receive a store credit or partial refund. Was it worth $100 to Rocky Mountain to lose two regular customers? The $100 is not overly significant, it was the manner in which we were treated. read more

20 miles into a 1700 mile trip broke a front wheel spoke and got a flat. Jeff the service advisor got me in the shop on a busy Saturday morning, found a replacement spoke and new inner tube. Called on a atv trailer and was told it was in and when i called back 2 hours later to let him no i took half the day off to come get it i was told that it has been under contract the whole time. So when i said i took half the the day off for a trailer you dont have i was told i have it you just cant buy it. Went into this shop to check out a couple of used sportbikes, I was greeted by David who was extremely nice and patient, although he was helping other customers it never felt like I wasn't priority number one. He let me look over the bikes and not pressure me or look like he was uninterested. This is one of the few shops that let you test ride sport bikes. ( which is important when buying any vehicle, for obvious reasons) there pricing is not out of this world.. Very on par with what it should be. I made an offer and within 2 mins they excepted with no counter offers or any bs. When everything was done it was closing time but I still needed a new helmet the accessories department was nice enough to stay and help me out finding a new helmet. This shop was a pleasure to do business with no bs and friendly just what I like, thanks Rocky Mountain kawasaki! read more

Called the service shop to take my ATV in and have the carb rebuilt. They quoted me $150, sounded reasonable! They had it for one day, called me said the carb was all bent, and missing all kinds of parts. Which is BS! that atv ran like a champ when i parked it, so i knew the carb only needed cleaned. When i asked the tech how much it was going to cost he told me $500!! Long story short, I purchased a rebuilt kit from Ft. Collins Polaris for $48 dollars, rebuilt the carb myself and it runs like a top!! Talk about take advantage of people! They will never see me again in that place. read more

The parts department is great, but the service department will try to take you for every dime. I brought my bike in for a check of the back tire due to a tiny wobble that was only noticed by the folks behind me. It was checked by a professional rider and deemed safe, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to have the tire trued. I took it in and was told that the wheel bearings looked fine and that it probably just needed a slight adjustment. But I was told that they charged by the hour and that they didn't know how long it would take. Five days later they called to tell me that the spokes were stripped and they couldn't true it and that it was going to take a week to get the parts and then they would have to install the spokes, mount the tire and true it again and that my bill was already $130. Oh, and suddenly the previously fine bearings now had to be replaced. A new rim was going to cost me $800! This was for a bike that was running just fine when I brought it in. I told them to put it back together and that I would be coming to pick it up. I was advised that it was not a good idea because I could be out riding and get a flat. I told them I would take my chances. When I got the bike home, my neighbor stopped by and noticed that my valve stem was crooked and that the nut for the valve hadn't even been tightened. So if I had gone for a ride, my valve would have sheared off. So basically I paid $130 for them to keep my bike for almost a week, not fix a thing, and actually do something that would have left me high and dry somewhere. I think because I'm a female they thought they could take me for a ton of money. I will never go there again. read more
