    The super cool truck.

We took the 3 hr tour called "Top of the World". John was our tour guide and he was outstanding. Very knowledgeable. The sites were fantastic through the Rocky Mountains. I learned so much and this tour allowed us to take in the sites and learn instead of watching the road. Our ticket also included a 7 day pass into the park. Well worth it

Our big family with 8 adults and 6 kids under age seven had a blast with John. He was so good with our kids, taking time to teach them about glaciers, aspen tree bark and climate zones. The tour was comfortable and adventurous at the same time and being able to bring our car seats along meant we had no worries brining even the toddlers along. Highlight of our Estes Park vacation! Can't miss!

    Splashing through a muddy spot!

We took our 4 and 6 year old grand kids on the rush tour and had a terrific time! The driver (Phil) was entertaining, courteous, and made sure the little ones were entertained, but not scared. We were fortunate that it rained the night before, so had plenty of mud puddles. The kids (all of us!) had blast splashing through these and kicking up mud! Beautiful views fun terrains, and Phil kept us entertained with information and stories about the forest and history of the area. We HIGHLY recommend this tour company will go with them again next time we're in the area

Top Of The World Tour =12005'

LOVED IT! My first time to see mountains and Dave our tour guide was so kind and informative. We got to stop several times and I got the ultimate selfie at 12,005 ft'. This was so comfortable because the climate changes as you go up and he can open and shut the side windows. Even in the Tundra level he has heat and blankets but we had the best weather and didn't even need them. Eveyone would love the Top of the World Tour and see one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL places on the planet EARTH. I'm going back for sure.

    Three generations of family fun!

Hands down the best thing we did as a family in years. Our tour guide Tom was awesome and made it a great time for all three generations on our "not so mellow" tour! This was the first time my Teenage Daughter and her friend put down their cell phones and spent time with the rest of the family. Thank you Tom, for showing and teaching my family so much and helping us make life long memories.

Absolutely awesome time. Will definitely do this again. Dave, rocks! Looks like he fell out of an 80s hair band. Coolness!

Awesome awesome Awesome! Will do again next time we are in Estes Park. We took the Panorama Mountain Tour. Dave the guide was coolness personified. He looks like he fell out of an 80s hair band but is more like that college philosophy professor everyone loved. A bit spendy, but so worth it. Will do this again for sure!

Rock'n Roller Coaster tour with Neil. a 5 star event!
    Patrick S.

Rock'n Roller Coaster tour with Neil was outstanding. Great trails that look back on the entire Estes Park community and the Rocky Mountain National Park range. Neil was super knowledgeable, extremely friendly and a great four wheel captain. Access to private trails and a lookout point that gives you a 360 degree view. Great tunes, nice stops, snacks. Super value and I highly recommend this for couples and families alike.

I love ascending whether by car, tram, train, funicular, or airplane!…read more I had this experience on my list of things to do while on vacation when we visited the Rocky Mountain National Park. We finished taking the scenic drives around RMNP and went into Estes Park. I suggested we take the tram up the mountain before dinner. We arrived at the lower terminal. There's a parking lot available to park in for a fee. Handicap Parking is free. We went inside and bought our tickets for $35.96 each. There was no line to board the tram, so we went on out to the loading area. There's a gift shop here you can visit before going up. It is highly recommended to have a reservation (purchase tickets in advance)! Prices vary depending on day of the week and time. If you are a walk-in, the time slot you want may be sold out and you'll have to select an available time. Each tram accommodates 10 people. We had the car to ourselves along with the tram attendant. She was very friendly and we had a nice conversation. She lets riders in and out of the tram. The ride is fairly short (5 minutes each way) even though the tram doesn't travel terribly fast. There's an elevation gain of 1,029 ft. The upper terminal sits at 8,619 ft. This is a very smooth ride. The windows of the tram were wide open, which was great! At the upper terminal, there is an observation platform with telescopes, gift shop, picnic areas, restrooms, cafe, and a trail to the West Summit. The trail is .75 miles one way and is supposedly a fairly easy hike. There's a machine that spins fresh cotton candy and I had to try it! We bought a small bag of peanuts to feed the chipmunks, but it seemed like the birds got most of them. The view is breathtaking! We left the top around the golden hour and it was awesome! This was a serene way to enjoy nature!

I had read Stephen Kings book The Shining when I was way too young and it absolutely terrified me like it should have. When the movie came out, I really enjoyed it but you can never replicate the book. Visiting this old and historic somewhat haunted hotel, I was ready to learn more about the imagination of Stephen King. His staying here many years ago brought about the inspiration to write the book. Although no filming took place here for the movie, the mini series was filmed here in 1997. We began the tour within the hotel and we had a fairly new tour guide all the way from Turkey. Unfortunately, I forgot his name but he was was well spoken, funny and informative. My favorite part of the tour was visiting the renovated caretakers cottage. It was decorated with period furniture and pictures of the original family that took care of the Stanley Hotel many years ago. I couldn't believe there was a 100 year old Victrola that still worked. Our guide was kind enough to play it for us. Upstairs they have recreated the Shining Suite which included a bed, the famous patterned Shining carpet and of course the bathroom from Room 237. Just walking in the bathroom took me back to that particular chapter of the book. REDRUM! Pricing for the tour was $30 and you can purchase tickets online. The hotel charges $10 to park and provides you with a $5 chip to spend in the hotel. A historical hotel tour is also offered here for $25. Outside of the tour, the hotel is definitely a place to visit. Location is phenomenal as it sits in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.

Jared is a very knowledgeable naturalist and he has a great entertaining, conversational manner. Not only did he find tons of wildlife for us to watch, he talked all about the animal behaviors we were seeing (that's not common in my experience - a lot of guides I've toured with end the conversation at "hey look! Jared communicated well before the trip to make sure we were prepared for the day. He was punctual both times he picked us up and was a wealth of knowledge about the area. He made sure we were covering the topics we wanted to shoot and would give us different options as the day/weather provided. We traveled in for a wedding so we used Jared's equipment.
