The guide on our bus recommended that we make a stop here at Rocky Mountain Soap Company during our time in Banff. I'm not usually a soap person, but decided to stop in because I was nearby. I really enjoyed my brief time in this shop. Everything smelled so good inside of the store. The customer service was great too. The lady that helped me took her time explaining all of their products to me. I ended up taking home a Lavender Basil bar of soap. The products here at Rocky Mountain Soap Co. are handmade with high-quality natural ingredients. They have all sorts of skin care products. They also sell hair care products and candles. We loved the lotion, body wash, shampoo & conditioner in our hotels that we had to stop at the store. We tried a lot of their products lol. We really loved their body butter. It looks like deodorant and it smells divine. I ended up getting the two small travel friendly ones. A lemongrass and the rosemary mint. I definitely need to take advantage next time I come to Canada because it is a bit cheaper to buy in store vs the website in the states. While walking around Banff, we spotted a lot of people carrying bags from Rocky Mountain Soap Company and were intrigued - so much so that we decided to look up where exactly Rocky Mountain Soap Company was and visit ourselves! Located right in downtown Banff, the location is very convenient as it is right on the main drag (Banff Ave.) and the service is beyond five stars. Thanks to Will, I now have a daily facial regimen. Will was so patient with my friend and I and had the best, personalized recommendations. Rocky Mountain Soap Company has more than just soap - they have a multitude of other products - many of which returned to the United States with me. I have been loving my facial cleanser, serum, as well as my eye and face creams. If you're looking for natural, sustainable, yet relatively inexpensive beauty products, look no further than Rocky Mountain Soap Company. Came here many many times to get products. They carry excellent products. I like to get it from Alberta since the sales tax is the lowest in Canada. I had tried their cleansing, cleansing oil, face serum, face moisturizer, body butter, sunblock and I am very happy with all. read more

I find that this place is not as aggressive smell wise as Lush and the sale staff is really sweet. The place has a nice selection of natural soaps, cleansers, and crèmes. I came away with 6 great soaps at $14.95, mountain dew - spearmint, mountain meadows- geranium, goat's milk, northern exposure - coconut, avalanche - spearmint, and alpine air-lemongrass. One gal was chopping soap with a large butter knife and she was kind enough to cut me the bar flavours that I wanted. The staff all feels like they are from Australia which kind of adds to the essence of this naturalness of the store. Right on the main walkway in Banff so it's pretty accessible. I understand there is a store like this at TD square so if you like natural soap products you should check it out. read more

We stopped in here as my fiancee's mother wanted to buy some soap products, and after seeing the store front she just had to go in. The soap is of course organic, and all that wonderful jazz (really I don't care, I just wash with the stuff, and I don't switch soaps for different body parts -- altho I am told I should). Anyway long story short, it was somewhere we stopped for soap while strolling down Banff ave, 2 members of our 4 crew group liked the place. Great service, the staff was very helpful in choosing the right product for purchase. The one thing that everyone liked was the bags being labelled "Do not eat!" (something about organic soap being sooooo good you want to put it in your mouth, I suppose...) anyway the label stuck with us for the rest of the trip, everyone remembered it. I stopped in here while I was strolling around Banff doing some casual shopping. I hadn't been into this store before. There was nobody in the store except for the girl working there (Julie, i later found out from my receipt), who was putting together some gift baskets. The store was neat and tidy without any tables in the centre to get in the way (not that I noticed anyways, so that's a good thing), with everything arranged neatly, making it easy to browse. Julie was great - friendly in a laid back, I'm actually a nice person not just a store employee and it helps that I'm Australian, type of way. I asked her a few questions and she had answers for all of them. I asked her about some of their face care and felt comfortable with her explanation. I decided to do some more reading on my own before buying, but I did get out of there with some foot stuff. She asked me if I was a member of their points program, which I wasn't, but I am now! We stopped in this store to check out their products. Most everything has a sample for you to try and smell if you are wondering the scent. The girl working there was very helpful to make recommendations to me when I was looking for a specific product. I purchased a few things including a natural oil. I called this shop to ask about having some items delivered to the condo I was staying in prior to my arrival. I was going to Banff for my wedding and wanted to put some of the soaps in my welcome baskets for my guests. Koren was more than willing to help me with what seemed like an odd request.
