Beth was my masseuse and she was excellent. Also spent a little time in the hot tub prior to my massage. The view of the mountains was excellent. Wish I would have had more time to enjoy this spa, but I was pressed for time. High recommended.

I did a bit of shopping downtown and decided to treat myself to a little spa treatment at the hotel. Meadow Spa + Pools was worth every penny! Meadow Spa + Pools is located in the Moose Hotel, which is where I had stayed, so I just had to stumble over there in my bathrobe and flippy floppies for my appointment. Since it was a last minute thing, I booked my massage about an hour before my scheduled time and they were incredibly accommodating and squeezed me in no problem. I went with an aromatherapy massage and my masseuse helped me pick out a scent that would help me relax. I also informed him that stress tension is my biggest issue and that my shoulders/back were basically FUBAR at all times. Also, my legs (thanks to some a massive ice hike up Sulfur Mountain), were incredibly sore. Gratefully he really spent time focusing on those areas, working out all the tension and pain. He checked in with me regularly on pressure and it just felt wonderful. I felt so relaxed after my session. Admittedly, I'm not entirely sure I'm someone who really responds well to aromatherapy (most scents actually give me a headache) so I personally wouldn't add that piece again in the future but the massage was glorious. As a spa guest you have access to their private hot tub, lounge (with tea, water infusions, snacks and lounge chairs) and the hotel hot pools and sauna on the roof. The lounge and the treatment rooms are clean and soothing. My massage table was heated and felt very cozy. It's easy to feel chilled in the winter while in the mountains but they do a nice job keeping you warm here. As a guest of Moose, I already had access to the rooftop pools so I decided to take advantage of the private spa hot tub after my massage. The private hot tub had the same amazing mountain view as the roof tubs but it was smaller and more intimate. I was the only one in there, in fact, so I got to relax deeply. This hot tub has a lovely waterfall and the firepit is located directly next to it, so it felt cozy and luxurious all at once. Loved every second! Worth every single penny. Would highly recommend a visit here. Just be sure to give yourself a little time to enjoy all those extra amenities!

They post bookings online which is convenient, but I decided to call in case they had any openings. I was able to get a facial appointment at 5:45PM later that day. I was also excited that the Red Earth Spa is located in the Banff Caribou Lodge, less than a minute walk from where we stayed. I arrived 20 minutes early, (they recommend 15 to fill out paperwork and change into your robe). I was tempted to go into the Hot Pool/sauna area, which is part of the lodge, but didn't bring a bathing suit. The robe and slippers fit me perfectly and the robe was super comfy! I read a magazine whilst waiting for my esthetician. The waiting rooms were quiet and comfy, though in the spot by the teas and fruit, you can hear the shrieks and shouts of the kids playing in the pool area. Not a huge deal as in the facial room, I couldn't hear anything. I believe my esthetician's name was Jessica. She was very nice and friendly and assessed my skin. She used Eminence products which is an organic brand from Hungary. I haven't had a facial in a long time, but I knew it was necessary due to the dry climate in Banff. I had a Classic Facial and it was the best facial I ever had!! I don't remember all of the steps involved, but there was a good amount of products being massaged into my skin and a lot of facial massage. My facial also included a leg and arm massage which was awesome and so relaxing! The extractions didn't hurt too much and fortunately my skin didn't need them. The best part of the facial was how I had some red patches and irritation on my face and by the end of the facial, they had almost disappeared! These Eminence products have been so helpful and I bought 2 of the items that she used on me! If I'm in the area, I will definitely return here for another facial or massage! The facial was about $108 before gratuity and my Eminence product purchase, which I though was reasonable, remembering a facial that I had in Cranford where most of it consisted in a face mask and not enough massage and lymphatic drainage. This place is 5 stars in my book!

Accidentally marred my pedicure getting redressed after waiting 40 minutes to dry. Fixed ok but not perfect but hey was my fault right. Fast forward to 4 hours later... pedicure polish is still sopping wet & looks like a hot mess. For $110 (including tip) it should be perfect right???? Hot foot it back at 4:45 - only girls there are counter girls with no experience. One of them offers to help me remove the wet polish & tries her best. Make me an appointment For the next day. Fine but am on vacation & setting aside 2 days For a pedicure is not sitting well with my other travelers. Return the next day. Get a gel polish so at least I know it will be dry. Charge me an additional $21. Didn't offer me a discount or even some free nail art or an explanation of my massively failed overpriced pedicure. & Even asked if I wanted to leave a tip (again) ... deep sigh

There's a relaxation room that no one ever goes in apparently because I could go take a nap in there, there's private pools for the spa and an indoor pool and outdoor pool three different hot tubs with different temperatures, coed living room with snacks and tea, overall good spa experience as well. We had the 45 minute massage and that was good enough for me. The view in the back is spectacular! One of the best views in Banff. Parking is easy they have a parking lot. Which the spa will validate. So then it's free. There's also some free parking along the street but if you're going to the spa, you might as well just park in the parking lot. Overall, I would just go for the day because I did love this hotel.

Otherwise, words and photos do not do this place justice, you must experience it for yourself!!

It was definitely a great way to end the weekend. I was so impressed with the entire experience. From free parking to check in behind the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved that you get your own locker, sandals and robe for the whole day. Plus all the towels you want. There was one very cold pool, and 4 large hot pools with varying temperatures. As well as two steam rooms and two saunas. There was also a quiet room with lounge chairs. I loved the one sauna that had a glass wall that looked into the forest. Perfect temperature and so relaxing. There were also cold outdoor showers, hammocks, so many lounging chairs and two fires to enjoy. We also enjoyed the restaurant for lunch which was delicious. I had a pesto chicken sandwich with beet chips and a glass of wine. It was a bit pricy but it was very good. We finished the day with a scrub in a steam room and then a shower in the change rooms.
