On time, efficient and got repairs done quickly! Highly recommended!! Had to wait on a part and…read morecame right out to install it when it arrived. Highly recommend giving them a call. Price was reasonable for work done.

I recently built a new home is West Farmington and purchased 3 linear modern fireplaces (about $12K…read moreworth) from Hearth and Home. They were installed during the construction and during installation I was not asked where I would prefer the ventilation on one of the fireplaces to exit, and they ended up venting it directly over the vanity in the master bath. This interfered directly with vanity lighting and design. When I moved in, not a single fireplace was working. None of them would light even after checking all electrical and gas connections. After multiple calls and nothing being returned, I finally spoke to a manager, and Tyson with service made an appointment and came out to the house. Finally 2 months after moving in we had 2 working fireplaces. The third was broken, so a part had to be ordered. An appointment was scheduled for installation 2 weeks later, and nobody showed. I sat at the home for 2 hrs waiting and nothing. 15 mins after the appointment ended, I got a text from Tyson saying that the part hadn't arrived yet. I was understandably frustrated for my wasted time and poor communication. That part was finally installed 2 weeks later, literally 3 months after I moved in. But that is not all, the first time I turned that fireplace on and ran it for about an hour, the glass heated and shattered. Now I again have a non-working expensive fireplace with shattered glass that I have to put cardboard over to block wind from coming into the master bedroom. I was told a week ago that new glass would be ordered and that I'd receive a call this week with details and an eta of installation. I haven't heard anything so I called today. I was told that nothing has been ordered but that they'll work on that today. I'm frustrated with the poor communication and poor customer service. Even after spending thousands of dollars with this company, they can't seem to get me decent service or working fireplaces. I'm also concerned that this fireplace is either used or after market because of all of its problems. I would strongly recommend against using this company, and will not do so in the future. If I could rate this company a zero or a negative number I absolutely would. We just had our…read morechimney cleaned out by a man named Joe. He was very talkative and seemed friendly, but he failed to mention that he had cracked the bottom of our fireplace box. I cleaned the fireplace box out before Joe was scheduled to be here, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I spent 20 minutes looking at the fireplace box and there was absolutely not a crack in it. After he left we went to look at the work that he had done, and noticed a long, deep crack down the center of the fireplace box from front to back. We called the company and spoke with a woman who told us that she would have somebody come out to fix our fireplace for us and asked me to take pictures and send them so he would have the proper materials. Shortly after I sent the pictures I received a call from Lyle, the owner of the company, who was extremely rude and basically called me a liar telling me that there was no way that they could have done the damage. It was clear after arguing back-and-forth with him for seven minutes that he had no intention of resolving the issue. He basically told me that it was not a problem and there was nothing that he could do to fix it, nor would he fix it because he didn't believe that his employee had broken it. When I told Lyle that the woman that answered the phone told us that she would have somebody come fix our fireplace, Lyle told me that she's just a secretary that answers the phone and she doesn't know anything. I will never use the service again, I was so disappointed at the rudeness, lack of respect and lack of professionalism that I experienced during the seven minute phone call from Lyle, the owner of the company no less. He stood six feet from the fireplace and it was clear he didn't really care to be there. He didn't inspect anything closely, clean anything, or even bother to get on a ladder to inspect the flues or measure for a chase cap. He charged us $89 to just come out and give a bid!! We've since had other contractors come out that actually got on the roof, actually took measurements and actually showed us pictures all for free!! BUYER BEWARE.
