1. Unprofessional and Aggressive Behavior: During my dental appointment on October 1, 2025, Dr. Rodek abruptly left the treatment room, appeared visibly upset over a personal matter, and failed to address my expressed concerns. She stated, "Well, I'm upset about a personal matter, and you can talk to my office manager about whatever you're upset about!" The office manager did not come in, nor did Dr. Rodek return, so I left. Her actions and behavior were alarming. I was unsure if she was under the influence or experiencing a mental health crisis, but regardless, I did not feel safe receiving dental care from her. 2. Dismissal of Patient Concerns: Over the past year, I reported persistent dental pain and concerns about a possible injury or issue with my teeth. My concerns were repeatedly dismissed, including a dental exam lasting approximately 30 seconds and refusal to check my dental night guard for necessary adjustments. My pain which started over a year ago worsened over the weekend of September 20-21, 2025, leading me to call the office's after-hours number. The office was closed for Rosh Hashanah that Monday, but I did not receive a callback the following day. I had to call again and was advised by a receptionist to consult an endodontist, who discovered I had a fractured tooth and required a root canal. I take excellent care of my teeth and have never missed a six-month cleaning. Aside from a few cavities over my lifetime, I have never required specialized dental care or experienced dental pain, abscesses, infections, injuries, or gum disease. Given these circumstances, I believe it is entirely reasonable for any patient to be upset. 3. Declining Quality of Care and Practice Management: Dr. Rodek's presence at the practice has become increasingly infrequent, and dental exams are rushed if I even see her. There have been frequent staff changes (hygienists and dentists), and I have observed questionable billing practices, such as charging for full exams despite spending less than a minute with patients or not seeing them at all. 4. Loss of Trust and Perceived Safety Risks: Dr. Rodek's conduct during my last appointment raised concerns about her fitness to provide care. I no longer feel safe or trust her to treat myself or my family. Despite her unprofessional actions and behavior, I received a letter from her practice formally notifying me of her decision to terminate our professional dental relationship, effective October 30, 2025. She stated that this decision was based on my actions during my appointment on October 1, 2025, specifically that I allegedly left the office before my scheduled treatment was complete. read more

Be careful, they say "it is a common thing for crowns to pop off". I am writing with full regrets and disappointments. In 04/2023, I got a new crown from Rodek Dental because of re-treatment of the root canal. 2 months later, I moved away from the DMV area. In 12/2023, only 7 month after getting the crown, without any precaution, it fell off while I was having dinner and chewing foods. It was a scary and very unpleasant experience. In 01/2024, I went to a dentist in the area where I currently live. After examination, here I quote, "Something was wrong with the first job. A crown should have lasted for many many years." "I will not work on someone else's bad work. I can't be responsible for future if I do it today." The dentist refused to put this old crown back, and I need to get a new crown. However, the dental insurance only covers 1 crown for each tooth every 60 months (5 years). Rodek claimed the treatment code but did not do a proper job. It means I have to pay more than $1000 out-of-pocket to fix their job. On 01/03/2024, I reached out to Rodek Dental about this situation. But they are reluctant in replying in emails. On 01/09/2024, (this is the only response email I got and I was ghosted ever after) Rodek Dental replied, "It is a common thing for crowns to pop off". "I see no evidence of faulty work." I stupidly made the mistake of going to a dentist in MD to avoid higher insurance copays in Delaware. I had 2 bridges done at Rodek Dental Arts- bridge #1 done by Dr. Bachelor, perfectly fine no issues, and quite happy with the results. bridge #2 done by Dr. Rodek- one of the crowns on the bridge doesn't fit properly, it's so closely abutted to the tooth next to it Dr. Rodek sliced my gum open due to the force necessary to get floss in there after placement, it is bulky, the wrong shade, and was shaved down so much metal is exposed and feels like I'm going to break my tooth anytime I chew with it. I did go back into the office for an adjustment (which was done by Dr. Bachelor) and at least I no longer feel the need to clench my jaw on this tooth. On top of all this, I received a bill for the adjustment (which did get written off when I called). The bottom line is for anything over and above a cleaning or filling- go elsewhere. read more

Dr Rodek and her staff are great. They do explain everything about their procedures. however they do not explain problems you could incur or the financial hardships you may suffer if you should have issues. I had implants put in between Dr Rodeks office and Dr Thomas Doughertys office. Both dentists failed to caution me about problems that could occur with implants. The bridge the two of them put in in August of 2022 broke in half in Nov of 2022. I ate a Dorito and it fractured. My insurance stated that this was due to an infection according to both dentists. I wasn't even aware I had an infection until I saw Dr Dougherty a day or two after seeing Dr. Rodek and the implant in the back part of my mouth came out this happens on a Saturday and I waited until Monday to see Dr Rodek and saw Dr Dougherty a day or two later so the infection was caused from the fracture and the opening were the implant came out . Both dentist are saying an infection caused the fracture. I had no infection prior to the visits. I trusted that after spending thousands of dollars in both offices they would honor their work and replace the product they put in my mouth. To this day the dentists haven't offered me assistance with the cost of the repairs . My alternative is seeing another dentist. This means starting over again and paying out of pocket and I will have to wait 5 years for my insurance to pay for any work to be done on the implant that fractured. And even if I decide to see another dentist I will have to use a dentist that uses the same implants as Dr Thomas Dougherty. I caution anyone getting implants make sure your dentist is going to warranty any procedures they are completing . And research everything with your insurance as you don't want to end up like me broke and having to wait years to replace the implant in your mouth. Ask to take contracts you'll be signing home-and read and reread before signing. Don't count on your insurance to back you up should there be a problem as they more often side with the dentist. Implants are a complex procedure there are many steps to implants and unless you've had them done back to back or work at the dentists office you will be overcome and confused by the process make sure you understand everything before signing anything. Going to the dentist has always given me anxiety...until I started going to this office. Dr. Rodek takes the time to explain what she is going to be doing so there are no surprises. Had a broken tooth and got it looked a very quickly. The staff where very friendly and helpful. Dr. Rodek explained everything that was going to happen and how it would feel. It was a great experience and I would have no trouble recommending the Practice to friends. read more

I am very satisfied with this Denist office. It's the little time saving options they offer. First I didn't have to wait long to get a schedule appointment My entire family were first time patients. I was able to go to there website and fill out all my new patient forms in the comfort of my home on my couch in my pjs on my laptop. You can't get any better then that. I was greeted in the office with hellos and smiles from the girls at front desk. I have had four visits so far. I didn't wait any longer then ten minutes past my scheduled appointment time to be seen. There was literally no wasted time sitting in the Denist chair waiting for Dr Rodeck to be seen. It is so refreshing to have a professional Doctor/Denist show by the way she runs her Denist office that she cares about her patients personal time. Time was managed so efficiently I never even had a chance to play on my iPhone. If you have any fears of the Denist or have sensitive teeth and our easily hurt. This is another great quality Dr Rodeck and the girls that clean teeth possess that's a gentle hand. I've had a fear of Denist all my adult life do to traumatic childhood experiences.
