    My new washer and dryer!
    Glo' Girlz M.

Shanon went above and beyond for me today. Sparks appliance exceeded my expectations. I had a brand new washer & dryer delivered the same day. You just don't find customer service like this anymore. I am a customer for life! Thank you!

When it came to delivery, Shanon and Steve were able to get it up two flights of stairs and into a tiny nook.

He quickly identified the real problem and assured us we did NOT have to defrost the whole frig for several days in order to see if it would work properly. He and his company were very responsive about timing, and took full responsibility for needing to come back after finding during the first visit that a part would have to be ordered. Pricing was very fair even before that, but not charging for the trip or labor for the second visit was truly impressive. I should add that the part was ordered immediately and installed on the next business day. I am delighted to have everything fixed after two years and will call ED for any future needs and ask for Nick if he is available.

I was so kindly greeted on the phone, clearly told what the price for a visit would be and an appointment was made same day. Washing Machine: Nick ran all the error codes on my washer to figure out what the problem was and discovered it was simply a leaky door seal. His honesty was refreshing. Dryer: I was worried the lint was incredibly backed up and needed to be cleared. Also our vent hose had come off and needed to be re-attached. Again, with quick precision Nick completely dis-asembled our dryer, vacuuming out the dust, dirt and debri that had collected inside. He washed and dried the drum and re-attached the hose. He cleaned the entire vent hose and inside of the dryer free from lint. Electric Stove Top: a year or so ago two of the burners stopped working. We figured with the stovetop being 25 years old it had just gotten old. Nick inspected the entire system and discovered the two burners had gone out because a short had occurred and burned up where the electric chord connects to the control panel. Because of the age of our stove top he said he and his office would try and track down a replacement control panel and once they did they would reach out to let us know. I was so impressed by the honesty and hard work ED Services offered. His patience and friendliness also put me at ease. We will absolutely be calling them out again for any other appliance issues, should they arise.

This was one of the most frustrating home improvement experiences I've ever had…read more The process started with a measuring technician who was rude, provided poor customer service, and had to return a second time because the initial measurement was not done correctly. That should have been a warning sign for what was to come. What is most unacceptable is that at no point during the sales, measurement, or scheduling process was I informed that floor-leveling issues could completely prevent the installation from moving forward. If this was a known requirement, it should have been discussed before installation day, not after I had already invested significant time and money into the project. When the installers arrived, they informed me they could not proceed because portions of the floor were not level enough to meet Home Depot's policies. The installers indicated the issue could likely be addressed with primer or leveling products, but Home Depot's policies prevented them from performing the necessary corrective work. Instead of providing a solution, the project was simply stopped. To make matters worse, after no flooring was installed and no project was completed, Home Depot still withheld a $100 fee from my refund. Charging a customer for a project that never happened is unacceptable. Home Depot wasted my time, failed to communicate critical installation requirements, and then charged me for the privilege of receiving no service. I expected far better from a company of this size and reputation.

I never thought that appliance repair would be so rewarding. But, with "planned obsolescence"…read moremaking newer appliances fail sooner and sooner throughout time, I wanted to give it a shot. I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. Serge is the appliance doctor (and Vera the nurse) that you need.

After diagnosing the problem of a non working fridge ice maker and ordering the part, he returned and completed the repair. All work was done efficiently and completely. In addition he diagnosed a problem with another appliance and offered me options. There was no pressure, only information. I felt that Lucid's fees are competitive and reasonable. I will certainly contact Serge again if needed.

I had watched videos on YouTube, had my manual and gone through the steps to figure out the problem, so I did appreciate the correct diagnosis. After that it was downhill. The washing machine cost $475. It's a GE top load. Why would you pay just as much to fix it as a new one would cost. When questioned about both, he had no response. It made me feel as though he saw a woman and was going to take advantage of the situation. If you are a woman, proceed with caution or do your research prior to calling them. I wasted $150. I bought the part for $17 and a friend installed it. My machine works fine.

They do not have such emergency services or work capabilities.. They came out to my house to fix my dryer, claimed that it was fixable, stated 3 parts was needed and he advised me that I needed get my dryer ducts cleaned before he would ever come back to I stall any new parts, so the next day I had "Climate Control Company" come out to complete the work afterwards I called Dill Appliance to come back out as promised, I was scheduled between 12pm - 3pm on a Friday and on this day I washed all of family clothing spring cleaned and washed all my home bedding, curtains and even rugs.. Awaiting because I just knew my Samsung dryer was going to be properly fixed and I could spend all night drying all of my items that I had washed.... Long behold, Dill Appliance showed up at my house after 7pm with no courtesy warning, when they got here they disassembled my entire dryer, on the surface appearing to know what they were doing taking them several more hours and when they were done they failed to test their work, nor did they show it to be working however very oddly stated that all of the parts have warranty and if we have any more problems to call even after hours and that they would be here to make sure it be fixed... Well it was ALL LIES... No one answered any of my calls and no one returned any of my messages over the entire weekend including the next business day in which would have been today Monday June 25th.. I had to call and call and call and text them... My blood is absolutely boiling at this point - The owner "Calvin" is dry, rude, unfriendly, unaprocable, unprofessional, non-engaging and appears to be NOT interested. - Their never on time (no courtesy call or warning when late) -Their company has no checks and balances in place as it refers to their so called technicians and service calls - They have no quality assurance or quality control in place - And there sure in hell is no emergency or weekend service and dependability from this company!! Just Lies...

They ordered the part and came back out a few days later to replace it. After the Dill Appliance Repair tech left, I turned on the oven and it still wouldn't heat. I called them back and they told me to contact American Home Shield because the tech said it could be due to an electrical issue. ??? Anyway, American Home Shield re-assigned my ticket to GE Appliances. And thank God!! GE stated that the Dill Appliance tech did not install the bake igniter correctly, and that the technician must not have known what he was doing. Apparently, installation of a bake igniter is a pretty, simple fix. GE just re-installed the bake igniter CORRECTLY, and the oven is now heating. GE repairman also said that due to Dill Appliance Repair not installing the part correctly, we had gas leaking into our oven. He said that was a potentially dangerous situation, and we could have had a major gas explosion. To sum it all up, DO NOT USE DILL APPLIANCE REPAIR. I am also going to contact American Home Shield. They need to be aware of situations like this so that they don't use this company in the future. Dill Appliance Repair could have had a major lawsuit on their hands, or worse yet, accidental death due to a gas explosion.
