Overnight only [Cheyenne WY] We stayed here for one night -nothing fancy- very outdated. Ahh... just needed to rest our heads and, omg, thank goodness we woke up with no bed bug bites. Registration was quick and easy. Didn't even need to give a credit card for incidentals. We checked in around 9:30p... the room was okay but very basic even from the "normal" basic. Can't expect much from what we paid for. And not that we needed it but the room didn't have a microwave oven. So weird that the mini fridge was plugged in on the sink vanity... nowhere to plug in my blow dryer. I was glad we didn't need to walk down the hallway... our room was the first one from the registration desk. Anyway, got up early the next day and left at 6:30a it is a truck stop motel and adjacent is a Sapp Bros gas station, travel center and a full-service restaurant connected to it. Lots to say. It was difficult to find in the dark and looked really sketchy and scary pulling in, but you get what you paid for and I paid $45. I'm glad I was there with my husband for sure. We did get there later at night, and when we got there we had to wait for someone to come to the front desk to check us in. Somehow we had a reservation but not a room?? But the guy working the front desk found a different room that was technically an "upgrade." He didn't charge us extra for the upgrade, which was really nice, and made sure to keep us in a non-smoking room, which was also really nice. Im pretty sure the room he gave us was supposed to not be rented as the second bed was broken, but we only needed one bed and having a place to stay the night was more important. The room itself was.. okay. Again, you get what you pay for. The carpet was threadbare, and there was an adjoining door that we had to move furniture in front of. (Which, to be fair, we would do at a nicer hotel too.) The sheets were clean and new looking, the towels were clean and new looking, but overall the room (and hotel) was starting to fall into disrepair. The window was old, but there's not much to look at outside anyways. The shower was dirty, but the toilet, sink, and counter were clean. The heater worked REALLY well, we had to turn it off halfway through the night and it was on the lowest setting. Honestly, the worst part was the location, which was super seedy. Overall, you get what you pay for. I was not expecting a 5 star location for $45. The service was very nice at check in and check out. In the morning the location is much less ominous, but I probably wouldn't stay here again. read more

The day before we arrived, I got a message that they were going to cancel our room with no reason given. AURRGH! I was all set for a 1-star review. I called and was told that a cancellation meant that I could get a different room, but would still have somewhere to sleep. YAY! The Rodeway Inn was hard to find in the dark. Google took us in one parking lot early and told us to hike it. You have to turn in by the Sinclair gas station. It was not well lit, so it was scary and I'm glad that there were 2 of us. When we found the building, we drove around the building trying to figure out which door went to the lobby, because it was not obvious in the dark. In the room, the air conditioning worked. I can see where they've worked on replacing things, like the walls of the shower insert and the headboards, but you could see where the wall base was peeling off of the wall, the curtains had fallen off of the wall and been reattached so they didn't quite cover the windows. As for the bed, I'm pretty sure that I could feel every bed spring, so that wasn't my best night of sleep, but I did sleep. Also, the only electrical outlets we could find were behind the refrigerator and behind the television. It was one of the cheapest hotels in the city, but I think that paying a bit more would probably have been worth it. The back door was not secured and made a loud screech of metal on metal as you opened and closed it ... and we arrived about 10 pm and weren't the last people to arrive that night. People started leaving about 6 am and ear plugs didn't particularly help. There was no way to open the back door quietly. The hotel room door was also a little loud with wood on wood. In the parking lot the next morning, we found screws and metal bits in the parking lot, so I'm glad that our tires were OK. I was happy that there was a refrigerator in the room, since I was told that they were only available for rental, but ... darn it, apparently they have something for breakfast (looking at recent reviews). ChoiceHotels.com doesn't say that and we weren't told that when we arrived. As for Pokemon Go, there's a Pokestop and a PokeGym within range of the hotel. I do not know how this got a 2 star rating at hotwire as this one belongs in the 1 star rating. This has to be the worst hotel I have stayed at. I did not get the bed bugs but the 1st room i got was pretty bad as the smoke detector was off, the bed had pet fur and toilet tub. Had paint coming off and looks dirty. These rooms need a makeover bad. I did not get the room in the picture. There are wires hanging everywhere and it looks dirty as well. The only doors that work is the one to the front office. I had to get another room. Truckers deserve a better place to stay. As I think that is their clientele. I paid 50 dollars a night but hotwire ranked this a 1 star. read more

At least 25 flies in room with many more smashed on walls. Dirty used washcloths in tub. skid marks in toilet. Some red substance spread over sheets. Room obviously not cleaned at all. Left immediately and they said they refunded me, but did not. Parking lot gravel and trash filled. Lobby filthy. Worst place I've ever seen. The female working didn't seem to know what she was doing and manager wouldn't come out to help. He kept yelling things at her. read more

Unfortunately I did not read the other reviews before staying here, and can sympathise fully. The place looks half decent from outside, but then unfortunately once you get past reception, it starts going down hill fairly dramatically. The walls, the carpet, the stains, the smell. My only guess why the get business, is the fact that it is near a busy truck stop and first one coming into town from the NE side. The decor in the room is very old, outdated and either stained or damaged. The toilet seat lid was missing. The shower couldn't really be adjusted. The other half had a quick shower around 9pm, and at 9am the water was still in the bathtub & not drained - I actually refused to get in there and would prefer my shower at an airport lounge as we were flying out the next day. I know that Choice is trying to update & renew it's image of late, and this better not be an example of things to come. read more

We "Rode away" as fast as we could after requesting a refund! Hotel was absolutely disgusting--the worst we had ever booked. The sheets were threadbare, stained, and had big cigarette burns in them. The mattress was so dilapidated that the head appeared to be 2-3 inches lower than the foot. The lamp was a fire/electrocution waiting to happen. There was one thin, disgusting blanket on the bed. There was some kind of cottony fluff in piles on the floor, which immediately made us suspect that rodents may be chewing their way through the upholstery or mattress, and the floor obviously hadn't been vacuumed for quite awhile. The entry way and office area were filthy, cluttered, and had several tacky signs haphazardly taped all over the place. The motel was located behind a truck stop in a dark section of the parking lot, not far from the gas pumps, and was difficult to even find. We were there a total of about 10 minutes before we requested a refund and moved on down the road to a different hotel. We would have been afraid to take any luggage or food into the room for fear of picking up unwanted traveling companions. I don't know how this place passes any sort of health or safety inspection, but they should be inspected! We were left with a serious case of heebie jeebies just being in there for a few minutes. Would highly recommend considering staying at pretty much any other place--including your car. I wish it were possible to choose negative stars on this review. read more

This is a budget hotel....you get what you pay for. Air conditioning is only there for looks, water stains on the ceiling look to be post modern art work if you drink enough. read more

Is less than no stars possible? 2 words. Bed. Bugs. The rest of my trip was ruined because of bed bugs. My personal pillows from home, ruined and I was eaten alive. Yes, they did refund my room but I had no idea until the next night what I would be dealing with in the terms of bites....stay far, far away from this place. Drive to Nebraska if need be. read more

It was horrible. They take advantage of the fact that there the first hotel u see before you hit the city city. So they pretty much bump there rates as much as they want. Went on priceline and was gna get a room for 60..called to confirm and they said come in for better rates. Ended up having to pay 95 dollars. And had to stop cause a snow storm was blowing thru laramie. Also the rooms were disgusting. Both my mom and I both had to take multiple showers at home because of the nasty feeling we got after laying in those beds. Will sleep in my car before sleeping at this place again. read more
