Always something about hotel lobbies, fireplaces, and good friends that is satisfying. The Friday night buffet is BBQ, and following a week of Great Smokies's dining, we were eager to enjoy "German style" meals. Brisket was better than southern; pulled pork had no flavor; ribs were burned; great salad bar; very few veggies. Rustic-style hotel located within the Sauder Village complex, featuring an indoor pool with a waterfall, complimentary hot breakfast, and charming timber-frame architecture. Hotel is on par with nice Ohio State Park property. Our room was a suite - large inclusive living room with Great Bed. Also a special sun room is attached. Great services and service folks. The owner of this establishment defiantly shows his support for the troops. Even if you are paying full price the rooms aren't a bad deal.
