It's called the Jefferson Inn now. We got a flat tire near Helena the night we were supposed to stay here. There was no way we could make it but it was too late to cancel the reservation. The owners let us cancel it for a full refund just to be nice. That is excellent customer service. read more

First off, the key maker was out of order so the desk clerk had to open our room for us. Which meant we weren't leaving the motel for the evening. Cleanliness was terrible. We didn't notice it was that bad at first, the sheets were clean and we were tired. So after settling in I went to take a shower and finally shut the bathroom door. Ugh! There was a wadded up piece of TP behind it, not to mention the toilet was stained brown from the hard water I guess. But seriously, find a cleaner to remove it! We started looking at the rest of the room and it looked like it had not been vacuumed. It was depressing to stay here. I was going to say something to the desk clerk in the morning but the office didn't open until 9! Trash can outside the motel was overflowing. This place is disgusting! read more

Don't expect La Quinta. We broke down on the interstate and had to stay for a couple nights. The staff is incredibly friendly (from the front desk to the house keeping) and even gave us a broken down discount! Our room has a variety of ways to enter it which I love. You can go out the back straight into the parking lot, or out the front of the hotel, or off the side. Awesome convenience. It took us a bit to figure out the thermostat and still, it's either too hot or too cold but we decided to add blankets (which fill the drawers in the room!) Breakfast is just waffles, toast, English muffins or cereal and juice, tea and coffee. But we don't really require more than that. Internet is included with your room info but is quite slow, but it's still something. The room is not in great condition but there's plenty of pillows, clean bedding and a comfortable enough bed. Lighting is old, the hotel is obviously old, but it gets the job done and that's all we were looking for. read more

I'm obsessed with this hotel (now called the Jefferson Inn.) Wasn't expecting much more than a safe place to sleep while on a road trip across the country, but the rooms are clean and spacious. The towels and bedding were soft and clean. The breakfast was extensive. So many options! They have a game room with a big screen TV, pool table, foos ball, free snacks. Staff was super friendly. All in all a great, down home spot. Highly recommend. (Only caveat: If you are sensitive to fragrance, this isn't the place for you.) read more

To begin, I've stayed here before and had a good experience. This is why I stayed again. However, I won't stay a third time. The experience was awful. The price was very high for the type of room and the service. The people were nice (they knew how to say "I'm sorry" however would not or could not fix any of the issues), corporate was understanding and assisted after the fact. The room carpet was dirty and stained, the bathtub had a large stain, the chair was broke down and ripped and the door key card would not work even after the staff replaced batteries. The "continental breakfast" was a granola bar or pre-packaged muffin and water or fruit punch. You could not access the lobby from the hallways until they decided to unlock the hallway doors sometime after 8am. Had to slam the outside door shut or it wouldn't latch. I requested one of the two beds to be changed but was told when I came in that night that I hadn't requested this service and was handed a wad of sheets to change the bed myself. Had to retrieve more towels as they did not service the room when I asked because the gentleman at the desk in the morning didn't write down the request in the correct book (he wrote it on a bright colored tablet instead). I would look elsewhere to stay if you have any choice at all. read more

New owners and they have done amazing upgrading and remodeling to this place. Its now the Jefferson Inn. Private owners care more and it shows. Great rooms, kids loved game room and the workout room is very nice. read more

Room Wasn't very clean. No Rollaway beds available. Bathtub wasn't the cleanest. The street light shined through our window because we had no blinds . Very small Tv that was bolted to the table. Sheets had stains on them. No hot breakfast just microwave sandwiches and other packaged foods. This place was not very lit would not recommend staying here. read more

Do not stay here. While on a cross country road trip we needed a place to crash and I regret staying at this hotel. It was absolutely filthy, I have never stayed at a hotel so disgusting in my life. The lock latch was broken on one door, and the other door was in rough shape- you could see where a crowbar had tried to open it and the peep hole to see who is at the door was painted over. Sketchy. There was food on the floor, the carpet was stained and filthy so we had to wear our shoes the whole time. Bathroom was disgusting, I felt dirty after showering and the tub flooded out. If we weren't completely exhausted from driving over 14 hours we would have gone somewhere else but it was the only hotel nearby. I barely slept as I felt so grossed out. This is an example of what a bad motel can do to change to a great motel. As one who travels 4 nights a week I appreciate the lower cost of the Rodeway series. However, that usually equates to bad service and or dirty rooms. Not so with Whitehall Mt Rodeway. The new manager is on top of things and is transforming this motel from my "bad" motel list to my "will come again" list. Good clean room, decent bed, friendly service! Good comeback!! I will most definitely come again. Only downside - but important - pillows need to be upgraded. read more

Previous YELP entries made me hesitate about staying. A bit pricey... Many small areas need improvements/repairs; but, the hotel has new on-site management personnel who will make a difference if supported by owners/management. Wow did we screw up booking this place for a night! The woman at the front desk was very sweet and nice. The hotel is like staying at a really bad motel 6.. The room had waded up toilet paper stuck in the peek holes of the doors! The carpet stunk like dog and the beds were horrible. This place is so run down and just filthy. The people working there are nice but this motel is a dump and the poor town has nothing to do and is really run down. Nice people in the town but I wouldn't recommend staying here. read more

Good value for the price of the hotel. Just stayed here one night for $90. Everything was "decently" clean. Some ripped lamp shades and stains on the carpet, but no big deal. The staff was nice and welcoming when we entered. Wish the doors were a little more secure with a deadbolt for the outside door, but there's a latch thing lol. TV is quite small, but we don't plan on staying for long. Breakfast was really simple and smaller than average hotel breakfasts. Overall a good bargain stay. read more

Clean comfortable room not fancy but not a run down dump either. The staff was friendly and accommodating and treated you like the Uncle that hadn't been around for a few years. Rooms had a microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker so with covid killing the breakfast in the morning we still woke up comfortable. I will stay here again the next time im in Whitehall. read more

I do not recommend staying here. The price was very high yet the room was very gross, the carpets were stained and there was garbage left in our room, it looked like it wasn't even cleaned. The bathroom was disgusting, the tv didn't even turn on and not only that but I did get bed bug bites from the bed. Never again. read more

How does this have such high reviews? We walked into our room and the smoke alarm was chirping, my husband had to change the battery out himself. The bed had a HUGE dip in the middle and so neither myself or my husband slept comfortably :( The shower head was so lime crusted over the shower wouldnt even work. Here's the kicker though... My husband forgot our pillow and a bag of pretzels in our room. He went back in the room to get them and the pretzels were gone. As he came out of the room after checkout he saw the housekeeper EATING THEM. read more
