My family spent a week in Butte and stayed at the Hampton Inn. Traveling with twin toddlers is not easy but the Hampton Inn staff was welcoming and inviting. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and accommodating. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Janine, the manager, greeted us daily with a friendly smile and high fives for the kiddos. Have stayed at this Hampton Inn for many years, but our stay this summer was so disappointing. Room smelled like dirty gym socks. In fact, we asked for a different room. Front desk was so nice and immediately came to our floor and put us in another room. It didn't smell as bad, but still smelled dirty and misty. They need to clean their carpets I'm thinking. This hotel was an outstanding stay for the price! Newer hotel- carpet still smelled like new. Decor very tasteful. Extremely clean. Nice parking lot- well lit. Parking is free. Easy access to hotel off Interstate 90. Lobby very inviting with lots of seating and fireplace. Room very comfortable with very comfortable bed. Large flat screen TV, Microwave & small refrigerator in room. Room was quiet. Breakfast was complimentary and delicious, with Waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal and cold cereals. All employees were polite. There is a indoor Pool and hot tub but unfortunately we were too tired to try it out last night. There is a gas station next door. Loved this hotel! We visited for a family event over the weekend. Originally, we planned to stay in Bozeman, but the hotels were extremely overpriced and it was too far out of the way. We found this newer hotel in Butte and paid nearly half of what we would have paid at the other location. We were very pleased with this hotel. We got a 1 King Study Sofabed room on the 3rd floor located about halfway between the stairs and elevator. The room was modern, clean, and spacious! We had lots of supplies at hand such as towels and toilet paper. The flatscreen LG TV was large and offered streaming services including Netflix, YouTube, and Disney+. (We tried using our Fire TV but couldn't get the internet prompt to appear for us to accept the terms, but no big deal since they had streaming already.) The lighting was good, there were several mirrors for getting ready, the couch and chair were comfortable, and the bed was huge. Also liked the ample surfaces in the room and bathroom for setting items out, including a nice luggage shelf with a drawer and another shelf below. The mounted coat rack near the door was a nice touch, too. It seems like they really thought of every convenience to make the stay more comfortable. Also really liked the ability to do mobile check-in and select our room location based on the specific room type we'd already reserved. That was a lot of fun and very easy to do! It was so quick and simple to arrive and simply use the app to unlock the hotel entrance door and then immediately go to our room. The mobile key worked well. It was also relaxing to know that it didn't matter what time we arrived at night as we'd already confirmed check-in and secured our room. If we visit Butte again, this will be our place! read more

I've always wanted to stay in Butte while on the long drive on I-90 from Missoula to Billings, and finally got the chance at this Hampton Inn for the night. Cozy, quiet, and on the Main Street close to casinos, gas stations, restaurants, and coffee, I found the stay to have been worth it during a bitter cold November. The hotel is maintained well, and doesn't appear to be dated. Only one complaint- the vents within the bathroom area reeked of 420. Not that this is entirely a bad thing- you really don't want your luggage smelling like it. I had to close the bathroom door and out towels down to damper the smell somewhat. Breakfast was the standard Hampton Inn continental smorgasbord of nothing but the basic carbs. No big deal. read more

We were there for barely 7 hours due to an early flight out of Bozeman, but it was a nice place to stay. Clean bedroom and bathroom. We like the Hilton app that allows is to choose our room and use the app as a key. Recommend staying in Butte if you are flying out of Bozeman, half the cost of a hotel. read more

Pet unfriendly, traveling for work and after the front desk received complaints of the pet odor making its way through their paper thin walls where you can hear your neighbors conversations AND their bowel movements they were unable or unwilling to work out a schedule to clean the room with more than just a vacuum leaving me to buy my own supplies. After receiving a second call from management I told her I'd take time off work to immediately pick up my pets and board them at a pet hotel where they wouldn't be an issue. Not 4 hours after I checked them in effectively solving the problem, they contacted my employer to tell them they no longer wanted me in their hotel. Reason I know names is I had something happen there, a fluke really with a break in of my vehicle. They were so gracious and helpful during this crazy experience. So, I arrived in butte at about 6pm and approached the front counter in order to check in. I was instantly greeted with a huge smile and a hello. I was checking in using some sort of point thing my mom had saved up and I was required to have a printed confimation page which was logistically impossible for me to get while driving accross the country. Needless to say I had prepared a lengthy explanation; as I began to deliver it, I was stopped by the woman at the counter who simply checked me in with a slight glance at my ID. Yess! I'm in. Next, I went up to my room and basked in the glory of a huge king size bed, plasma TV, and a serving tray with a bottle of water, some mints, and a granola bar. I drank the water, ate a mint, and threw the granola bar out the window. Awesome. Next, I went to the pool. When I got there, little kids were screaming like velociraptors and thrashing like a tiger shark eating al roeker(pre-op), so I moved to the jacuzzi and chilled for a few minutes. I then changed and went to the workout room which was too small for my tastes but had a great elliptical and treadmill (precor). After that, I took a shower then hit the town and did a bunch of useless stuff to kill time and brain cells. When I was finished, I pulled out the card that the lady at the front desk gave me, called the number, and a van came and picked me up!!! They informed me that I could have gotten a ride all the way down to the bar and I face palmed the shit out of myself. When I woke up, I zombied downstairs and found makings for fresh waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, tons of juices, and yogurt, etc. etc. etc. AWESOME! I grabbed my complimentary paper and a coffee and began to read, then something awful happened. That same lady and her three pre-historic monsters came downstairs. They were nice enough, but apparently I am just not ready to have veloci-kids. I grabbed a hard boiled egg and peaced out. The End. read more

This is the best place to stay when you're in Butte (I realize this is no superlative). Judy at the front desk is very friendly and she will take care of you in any way she can. If you're not local, don't be alarmed by people smiling at you and talking to you. They just are used to knowing everyone and either loving or hating each and every person in town. They will want to know where you are from and then they will figure out some far flung friend or relative who lives within 500 miles and ask if you know the person. I know this seems crazy. We called ahead the same day to book a reservation while on a road trip. Yelp made it look like this was our best bet and at only $115/night, the choice was easy. The hotel lobby was nicely decorated, similar in style and feel to a Hyatt Place. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and made some suggestions for dinner spots. The room was nice, the bed reasonably comfortable, and I didn't hear any noise at night. We made good use of the pool and hot tub both at night and the next morning. The pool temperature was lovely and we got in some laps though the pool is small and pretty shallow (3ft deep on the ends, 5ft in the middle). The breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The coffee wasn't dreadful like most hotels and there was a wide variety of foods the choose from. I was pleased to see reasonable options like hot oatmeal, fresh cut fruit and there were also bagels, muffins, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, juice, yogurt and dry cereals. Checking out the next morning, the staff was again very friendly. Overall I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again if I were passing through the area. read more

There was an elderly lady that traveling through town that had a medical condition. Due to this medical condition she was refused service at another local hotel. I was able to speak with staff at The Hampton, who went above and beyond to help. Jackie and Joy not only meet this lady at the door with the key card, not to mention she hadn't checked in yet, but helped her to her room, and made sure she got cleaned up. Also moved her car and helped bring in her luggage. They were the best! read more

Lovely Hotel - Just not for us The hotel is lovely, staff were excellent and very welcoming during check-in. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the pool (open till midnight), and general location which was convenient to many hotels and other amenities. Where our overall stay broke down, was at bed time. The bed was quite uncomfortable, and the pillows so soft and flat to be almost nonexistent. Even laying on two was like laying on a single pillow, but at the same time more uncomfortable. We both got barely any rest and woke up very still and sore in the morning. For your reference, the bed was very firm and stiff, which just doesn't work for us. In addition my wife discovered that whatever detergent they use on their sheets and towels is not "sensitive skin" friendly, as she itched all night and even drying off after a shower (that provided some relief) was uncomfortable. Showering was also a minor challenge in itself, as the water temperature kept changing, sometimes drastically - adjusting the faucet provided only temporary relief until the temp swung back the other direction. So - while the hotel is lovely on the surface, unfortunately, it failed to deliver a great experience for us. read more

Consistency seems to be an ongoing problem with Hampton Inn. The chain includes one of the nicer mid-priced places we've stayed -- in Bend, Oregon -- and one of the worst -- in Medford, Oregon. The Butte Inn falls somewhere between. The right parts are all there. But in the light of day we found food crumbs on our room carpet and in our microwave from the previous guest. The one lady working the breakfast area couldn't possibly keep up with both stocking food and cleaning up the eating areas (while the desk clerk sat slack-jawed behind the counter). And despite several pleas, the desk people made no effort to locate the second baggage cart that some a$$hole may have stashed in their room all night, or to otherwise assist us with all our technical gear. That mess ended up delaying our departure by a half hour -- time we just didn't have to lose. read more

This is the only Hilton property in the Butte area, so if you want to earn those Hilton Honors points in Butte, this is your place. The hotel is quite nice, and is much better than the Hampton Inns in say, Cheyenne. The amenities and service are what you'd expect for a Hampton Inn. This is kind of a conditional rating; I've stayed here several times, most of the time it has been comfortable, clean and a good value. It was nice to have a ride from the airport since I arrived late and did not have to rent a car or have my co-worker come out to get me. The room was great. My big issue on this stay was the front desk representative on duty near midnight. The lady was laying back in a chair eating some fast food, licking her fingers, gets up to check me in and is coughing and sneezing, wiping her nose with her hand then wants my credit card, hands me a pen to sign the check in papers, then pen now has barbeque sauce on it, while I'm signing, she proceeds to lick her fingers clean. Apparently napkins or hand washing never crossed her mind. read more

About the only negative things i can say about this place are that the elevators are a little slow, and it's in Butte (which i think should be renamed Scenery-Defacing Rock Quarry Town). read more

I had a great experience at this hotel with the exception of a few things. The hot tub is waaaay too hot. My spouse and I had it checked and even though we were told it sits at 104 degrees, I don't believe it. Everyone else trying to use it at the same time also thought it was too hot. I couldn't enjoy it at all. The other small beef I have is that I thought the breakfast sausage and eggs both were very salty. I loved the white fluffy duvet and comfy bed. I had a solid sleep and even though we were on the first floor, noise wasn't an issue. The coffee was shockingly great and I didn't feel the need to go to Starbucks for a better fix. The front desk staff gave us some recommendations for dinner, which made our evening. read more

After a day visiting Yellowstone and exploring the backroads out of there (once one departs the tourist trap that is West Yellowstone and heads up US Highway 287, it really is one of the most beautiful drives out there), we reached Butte at about 7PM, and turned off I-90/I-15 at Exit 127B (which is really confusing if you're in the "I-90 Exit Number" mode), and headed south along Harrison Avenue to reach our stop for the night, Hampton Inn & Suites. Now, we had had excellent experiences at our previous stops at this chain during our road trip, particularly in Oklahoma City, so our expectations were high. The Butte franchise, while decent enough... our room was nice, the breakfast areas well set-up, and the pool/fitness areas well-maintained. I think we may have erred in coming on a Saturday Night/Sunday Morning: 1) The pool area was being controlled by a particularly obnoxious group of kids - eight or so ranging in age 5-12, with one woman not paying particularly close attention to them. They'd alternate between the pool and the hot tub, screaming at the top of their lungs the entire time. 2) Similarly, the breakfast was somewhat spoiled by about three kids who spent their time screaming at the top of their lungs, with their parents not really doing anything about it. 3) When asked for a recommendation for a steak restaurant, the desk cashier was rather abrupt, then went on to doing nothing in particular. I think that given the options in the area, this is a decent choice - certainly the southern part of Butte isn't the best I've ever seen (on my morning walk, there was a bust of an incredibly overweight woman by three police cars - I'm guessing she was pushing). And it's close enough to the thrills of Downtown Butte that the drive isn't that far, although nothing within walking distance really stands out either. read more

As a Hilton Honors Gold member, I typically stay in their associated properties. This Hampton was up to the typical level of quality. Clean comfortable room. Pleasant staff. Excellent breakfast. My favorite amenity was the fitness center. Several treadmills, a recumbant bike and eliptical. Full universal machine and expansive set of dumbbells from 5-50 pounds. Thank you!!! It is so difficult to find decent fitness rooms these days. The pool and hot tub were also nice. Convenient location. This will be my go-to hotel any time I'm in Butte. read more

Pros: - Clean room that seemed larger because of the high ceilings (room on 1st floor toward back of hotel so away from front desk but close to door leading to the pool, gym and parking lot); - Comfortable king size bed; - Free breakfast that offered fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, make-it-yourself waffles, bagels, english muffins, juices, coffee, and tea; and, - Free local paper, the Montana Standard. Cons: - Parking lot almost full, especially when trailers take up 4-5 spaces; - They turn off the hot water by the sink after 9 or 10pm!! There is hot water in the shower but who brushes their teeth in the shower?! If not for the cons, I would have given the Hampton Inn-Butte 4*. read more

This was a fantastic stay, the hotel is clean, the hot tub was much needed after some cold days, and we enjoyed awesome service from not only the employees, but the guests at the hotel as well. The shuttle service was a fantastic addition to our stay, and even though you're not right in Uptown, the area is actually not bad for walkability. Clean rooms and attractive grounds. No odor of smoke! Which is a positive for us. No cookies for us as someone suggested. We even asked. Guess you have to get there at 6pm to benefit? Beds were uncomfortable to us. We tried both in our room. Very soft that sag in the middle and not good for the back. Didn't get a good nights sleep. There is a gas station across the street, and a place to get pizza. The hotel desk attendant suggested the Montana Club for dinner. It is three tenths of a mile south on Harrison...east side of the road. It is medium priced and has great food. We appreciated the recommendation. read more

I love this Hampton Inn and gave it 5 stars because it is the best spot to stay in Butte. The team working at the hotel always treat me like a welcome family visitor! The full staff here are professional, friendly, knowledgeable and treat you like they were just waiting to see you. The rooms are very clean, the beds are fabulous with nice linens and a fresh, clean duvet every time. They will take you to the airport or pick you up there. They will also take you downtown in the shuttle (and pick you up) so you can go out and enjoy your evening without worrying about driving. The breakfasts are great and you can enjoy cereals, hot foods, waffles, breakfast breads and fresh fruit along with other items. A s a regular, world wide business traveler this is one of my favorite spots, for a clean, friendly and safe spot to relax and get a great night's sleep. read more
