He's dealing with a customer and I'm waiting outside in hopes of test driving the car, he tells me please wait 10 minutes. The other customer than leaves and HE PROCEEDS TO GO OUTSIDE TO SMOKE A CIGARETTE in front of me while I wait by the car door... I walked up to him and asked if we could test drive. He appeared bothered and asked me a few questions. I told him if the car looks great for both me and my sister (buyers) and our dad would come later with the mechanic to make sure it's ok and give it an inspection we'd get the car. Then he says " I FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE LETTING YOU DRIVE IF THE BUYERS NOT HERE"... mind you my sister is the buyer, and we don't even know if the car turns on even at this point!? I told him my sister was the buyer. THEN HE ASKED ME IF I WAS READY TO PAY TODAY, because if not he doesn't feel comfortable letting us drive... we are 2 African women in our 30's staring blankly at him. What was going on here? Not sure if he's a sleazy salesman and the prospect of having the mechanic there scared him? Or that we were "sketchy" looking, is this is a race or gender issue? The Caucasian women before us was able to test drive the car... but not us. Even if it wasn't a race or gender issue the attitude was so rude I felt so small. It's such poor taste to demand that we agree to pay today to just test drive it. He wanted our ID and credit card to be left with him.... I've never heard of that. Anywho I wanted to cry I was so frustrated to be treated less than. Not sure what his intentions was but he came across not friendly, rude, and greedy/ sleazy, his cig was more important than the customer even. He stated he was the owner and had his reasons and could do what he wanted. This is my first bad review I've written in years. People be aware. Black people don't waste your time!! Not worth it. This review is about the stellar customer service that was provided to me while buying a car. Buying a car from a dealership is a pain and I spent weeks stressing about doing it. When the time finally came, I went to a local and known Ford Dealership that immediately tried to screw me over on payments and price of the vehicle and had to walk away. After I left there, I went to Seattle Finest Motors because they had a car in their inventory I was very interested in, a 2016 Ford Explorer. I had found it online a couple days prior and the sales agent Leonard reached out to me about it. The day I wanted to see it, he came in on his day off just to help me. The entire time I worked with Leonard he was honest and respectful. He not only helped me get the car I wanted, but got me a much better rate than I was expecting. During the test drive I noticed the air conditioner in the car wasn't blowing as cold as it should be and the team there kept the car overnight to have it looked at and the next day when I went to pick it up the AC was cold as ice. The day I picked it up, another sales agent named Habib assisted me in getting all of the paperwork together and answering all my dumb questions. I drove the car off the lot that day. About two weeks later I received my license plates via mail (a huge advantage that saved me a trip!) along with a check for the difference in the cost of vehicle tabs. What impressed me most about Seattle Finest Motors is the honesty about the vehicles and transparency about what you pay for. They didn't try any aggressive sales tactics, make me feel pressured, and were extremely helpful. If you're looking for a used car, definitely check these guys out. Side note: I know I said the review wasn't about the car, but I've put several hundred miles on it already including a trip that was over 100 miles and it's had absolutely no problems.

However, salesperson sated the primary reason for not budging on price was a $4000+ hit they took to repair the roof of the vehicle. During the purchase process, I asked multiple times for a copy of the repair work done to the roof as it would be handy to have in case of future issues. Promised proof of repairs were never provided. The car has unfortunately proceeded to suffer from a series of systemic failures, including issues with the roof that would very likely not be a problem if the work they said they had done had in fact been done. Since the promised proof of work done was never provided, we'll never know if they were telling the truth but the evidence at hand suggests they were not. Overall, the sales process is pretty easygoing and straightforward. Unfortunately, any follow-through once the process was complete appears to be nonexistent, the level of honesty is now unclear, and I would not do business with them again. Also, the car was sold as-is, so it's on me as the consumer, but there has just been a litany of cascading problems that makes me question how "quality" the cars they sell really are.

After my experience, I do not think they could pull that off. I am surprised they are still around. They could not even reliably pay off trade-ins. Luckily, my trade-in was already paid, but the car I bought was junk. I have posted about them before, and they said no point living in the past. Call me petty, I will live in the past, smiling every time I drive by in the reliable car I bought from a reputable dealer. They got me once, but I turned that into success while they deal with sinking reviews. Consider this my 15-year anniversary of review-bombing Carson's Cars when I get the urge. I'm always hesitant to give a dealership my phone number as I've had overzealous sales people bombard me with calls about vehicles and financing that I'm not interested in (I've actually worked as a car salesperson at a few large, name brand, new car dealerships in the Seattle area). I never received an email reply from them and it's been 10 days. I ended up purchasing from a private seller instead a few days later. Having worked in the industry I can tell you it's very bad form to not follow up with a sales lead, even if the car has been sold. They could have the nicest cars and lowest prices, but if the salespeople don't a) have a working contact form on their website or b) bother to contact an interested buyer, it leads to a poor customer experience and makes you wonder what other corners they will cut and how above and beyond they will go to make a happy customer. Based on this I wouldn't buy from or recommend this dealership. Where I worked, not following up on leads would get you terminated, quickly.
