The price to remove all the old ductwork, install new AC grills and a new filter system were very reasonable. They were able to complete the work two days from the time we got the estimate. They showed up on time and got the job done. Chris came back and checked out the work and answered a few questions we had. This is the way to do business. I don't bounce companies - ever. I am very loyal to a company unless they give me a reason not to be. Caldeco is SO trustworthy. I allow them in my place - without me present - and the job is ALWAYS done correctly. They have never tried to do an upsell on me - they are always professional and their home tech guys are AWESOME. He gave me a business card and I then called the next day to arrange for an appointment. I was very accommodating to their schedule and was given a date of May 14, between 1-5pm. I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home. At 3pm....I received a call that an emergency came up and no one is going to show. I was displeased that I had to adjust my schedule, but I understood....it happens. I thought maybe they would make good and I would be the first person the next day....fat chance. I was given May 27, between 830am-noon and that I would first up. Again, I adjusted my schedule and made sure I was home.....however, at 10am, another phone call to me stating another emergency had come up and they won't be able to make it.....wanting to reschedule again. Of course, I was upset and without using foul language questioned their customer service and reliability. I was put on hold for a few seconds, then an male subject responded, asked my name, told me to have a good day and hung up. That being said, they may do good work or not, as Hudson Air has poor customer service and reliability issues. Buyer beware.

I was not disappointed. During the installation, because we are in a flood zone, we needed the unit to be put on a 24" stand. The stand they used was overkill, way too high. When I expressed my displeasure, instead of an argument, they put a more appropriate stand in place, doing so with a smile. Since then, we have had them do service on an AC outage from a 2 year old unit on the other side of the house, and we found a sloppily spliced wire which should have been replaced by that other company when that installation was done 2 years ago! Again, repaired at a very fair price. I am happy to say I have a new AC company that has earned my trust and respect.

After having to wait another day until a tech was sent to my home, I thought the AC issue was repaired and I'd be resting at night with cool air. No so, within hours there was HOT air coming from the vents. My son was guessing the tech could have crossed some wires in the wrong way. So my husband called the company back and again we wouldn't see anyone until the next day. So I had another day and overnight in the high 80s, near 90 degrees. The new tech said, according to him, the previous guy did make an error with the thermostat. By the time this new guy left, he had cool air coming from the vents. I paid him the $195 service fee. Wellll, not so fast! The cool air only lasted about an hour before the heat was back. I turned off the system and began to seek another company. I came to Yelp and discovered a company I used last year, which I had forgotten the name, and noticed my review. Yahoo! I am thankful because that AC company, who is a small business who has been in business for over 50 years, came to my rescue with a short time on the day I called. I didn't have to wait another day or go through another night trying to sleep in high 80s-90 degrees. The business techs even arrive earlier than the promised timeframe. Within 45 minutes the problem was located and fixed. It did happen to be at the thermostat. Tech pulled out his smartphone to locate the online manual and within a few short minutes the AC was back to providing cool air once again. Their service call and repair only cost me $79!!! AND it kept creating cool air all night long. The set temp was reached before midnight. I slept well and I'm very happy with my new forever AC (see my review) company. Bad news here is Anchor is sinking their ship of poor customer service and high charge! So I'm getting off the titanic and into the rescue boat and riding off with MY new AC partnership for all my AC needs!

I've been a loyal customer of Momentum for years, but unfortunately, I must revise my 5-star review…read moreto a 1-star review due to questionable and unnecessary practices involving Freon charges. On one of my properties in St. Pete, the technician took pressure readings on a unit that was frozen--due to the tenants running it at 67 degrees in June. Later that day, the technician returned and "charged" the unit with Freon. However, during a follow-up inspection nearly two months later by a different technician, no leaks were found in the line set or coils, and the pressure readings were still normal. This was particularly troubling given that the unit, a Carrier system, was installed just 10 months prior with a full inspection. I initially chalked this incident up as an anomaly. But then it happened again. At another property in Tampa, I called for a simple condensate line flush, and once more, I was told the unit might "need" a Freon charge. This was absurd, as the unit had been functioning perfectly, holding temperature with no issues for months. When the rep called to discuss diagnostics, I made it explicitly clear that the conversation about Freon was premature and unnecessary. Yet, within minutes, they called back with a quote for a Freon charge. I agreed to discuss the matter, but at no point did I authorize the charge. Despite this, the company proceeded without my clear consent. Momentum was quick to provide recordings of subsequent calls to argue their case, yet suspiciously reluctant to share the initial call, where it was clear I did not approve any Freon charge. After years of entrusting Momentum with multiple properties, it's disheartening to see them resort to such deceptive practices. They are personable and persuasive over the phone, but it's clear they are taking advantage of their customers. I can no longer recommend Momentum, and I urge others to proceed with caution. ** UPDATE 3/24/2025** I strongly advise against doing business with Momentum. Recently, I discovered that they sent a fake invoice to a collections agency, which included duplicated charges that I never authorized. What makes this situation worse is that Momentum never contacted me directly about these additional charges, and instead, the next thing I knew, I was being contacted by a collections agency about an invoice that had already been paid. I have the original invoice that shows everything was paid in full, and yet this company still attempted to charge me again and escalate it to collections without any prior notice. I am now dealing with the repercussions of this error, and I have been forced to take legal action to resolve this situation. Momentum's lack of communication and disregard for accurate billing practices is unacceptable. I highly recommend that others avoid this company to prevent similar issues.
