It unfortunately loses two points for the size of the scoops and the quality of the ice-cream. It just didn't stand out to me and the ice-cream was hard, as in close to freezer burnt hard. $9 for a double scoop, the cup should have been fuller, or just get smaller cups so it looks full if you don't want to give bigger scoops lol (mostly kidding on that note). Service was good and fast. Props to them as I'm sure they deal with a very high volume of customers everyday. I got the Wowie Cowie and the Moo York Cheesecake. Wowie Cowie: tasted very similar to a sea salt caramel ice-cream good if you enjoy that. Moo York Cheesecake: tasted exactly like a New York cheesecake ice-cream go figure. I wish there were actual chucks of cheesecake rather then just the cheesecake flavor though. I would lean more towards this being a tourist trap. I ordered a 12 oz hot latte, and was pretty good. The espresso was strong and flavorful, and surprisingly, the drink wasn't overly sweet. I expected the maple and hazelnut syrups to make it much sweeter, but the flavors were well balanced. It was also very creamy. I'd definitely recommend it if you enjoy a strong latte that's not too sweet. They also sell sandwiches and baked goods. I was really tempted to try the giant oatmeal cookie, but I noticed a fly roaming around on top of it, which quickly changed my mind. The café itself is pretty small, with only a few tables inside, but there's plenty of outdoor seating and lots of places to relax around Whistler Village. One downside is that they don't have outlets available for charging cell phones.

Hershey's, Nestle, even that plasticky generic dollar store stuff, but as I got older, I started to appreciate higher quality chocolates and these days I do try to eat foods with easy to pronounce ingredients and I like to eat organic when I can. They have a lot of choices and we settled on the ones we wanted to try. I went with the veggie pie and added the mushy style peas, mashed potatoes and gravy to the top. Mr. B decided on the Kangaroo pie after talking to the staff. He was a little leary of where the Kangaroo came from, but we were told there is a farm in British Columbia that raises them, so he wanted to try something he had never had. Please see the note below about the kangaroo. There is a correction. The pies came out and were quite large, but we must have been hungry and they were scrumptious we finished them off. Let's start with the veggie pie. It was filled with veggies, carrots, potatoes, onion, corn, celery and yams. The sauce is a coconut milk based sauce and was creamy. The Hopper, with ground kangaroo was lovely. The pie is filled with ground kangaroo, and I mean ground, it was fine meat and stuffed full with a Cabernet Merlot Balsamic Reduction that balanced the sweetness of the meat. The service was great, the staff was nice, and helpful. Great choice. NOTE: I received a correction from the owner of Peaked Pies after posting this review. The Kangaroo is not sourced from British Columbia as we were told. While the food was excellent this was disappointing to hear. Mr. B specifically asked where the kangaroo was sourced as he didn't want frozen and would have ordered something else. I wanted to let you all know I was wrong as we were given inaccurate information from the staff.
