    lobster + saffron spaghetti
    Yumei H.

I came here with my group during my stay at Whistler and the food here was one of the best! We came as a group of 9 so my friend called to make a reservation ahead of time. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful with making my choices. I got the lobster + saffron spaghetti and it was amazing! The citrus note was pretty strong but I think it actually helps with the creaminess of the dish. The lobster was fresh and yummy. My partner got the rigatoni bolognese, and I thought it was just okay. The rigatoni was actually quite heavy so it was difficult to finish. We also got the roasted cauliflower to share, and I think it was a great dish to add.

We went here a few years back when it first opened and we had a mixed experience with food and service - glad we decided to try again as it was exceptional! We were sat in a lovely cozy booth near a fire place which worked well for me as I currently have a broken leg and it was easy to navigate! Service was exceptional throughout as was the food! We began with woke cocktails and some smaller plates: Delicious warm olives, one of the best burrata dishes I have ever had with the freshest local tomatoes. A delicious dish and out of the world squid!! We then shared an amazing lobster, saffron linguine which was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had! Perfect start to our Whistler anniversary trip!!

I was in Whistler for conference and so I made reservations at some of the restaurants recently recognized as among the best in Whistler according to Vancouver magazine. It included Il Caminetto. We had dinner reservations for 7pm. We arrived early but they gladly seated us early. It was midweek, so they had space. It's a sleek, modern space. I wouldn't expect less from a Top Table Group restaurant. I had looked up the prix fixe menu on their website before arriving, and I noticed was different than what was presented when we arrived. The online menu was $44 and had four courses, but the one presented to us was $49 for 3 courses. Still a fantastic deal. I noted that the website did update 2 days later to match. I tried the following: - Octopus - Excellent. It was the soffritto and white bean puree that are the real stars of this dish. - Beet and Burrata Insalata - Very good. I'm not much of a beet person, but the vinaigrette made the beets surprisingly good. - Duck Breast - Very good. Duck was cooked just to the right doneness. - Tagliatelle Bolognese - Very good. Pasta was the perfect texture. Sauce was delicious. - Lemon Bomba - Good. Wasn't sure what to expect, but was very happy with it. - Tiramisu - Very good. I could taste a little more liqueur was used than in most recipes Service was solid. No issues. Overall, a very good experience. Very good quality food, string service at incredible prix fixe value. I would definitely return.

We came in November and tried their Prix fixe menu. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. (Especially the tiramisu!) We wish the hummus came with bread. I had a glass of rose and it was ok. The Caesar that my bf ordered was very spicy. Maybe we should have sent it back. The dinner took rather long as it took 2 hours for us to be served 4 courses. They offered us bread in between courses and we appreciated that. The restaurant is spacious and beautiful and good for couples. It was a little loud but there were lots of families dining as well. Overall, I would come again!

Everything we had at Il Caminetto tasted amazing. The flavors really stood out. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great: very helpful and genuinely fun to chat with. Loved learning that some dishes can be ordered as half portions, which is perfect for trying more items or small appetites. I also really appreciated being able to order my dish without shrimp due to my allergy. It tasted perfect and I'd absolutely order it again. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but thankfully everything was so delicious.

One of those meals you think about for a while after you leave. The lobster linguine is to die for!! Every dish was such a treat to enjoy and a lovely combination of flavors. Servers were attentive and gave great recommendations and insights. Definitely book a reservation beforehand. Small warning that even with a reservation, we did wait more than 10 minutes to be seated but we did go during a busy dinner rush. Highly recommend and hope to visit again.

Chris our waiter was spot on. Absolutely the best Italian cuisine. You must book your reservation.

I didn't have a high expectation for this place just because it's located in a busy resort town but the food quality was top notch here. We had a frutti di mare, a lobster linguine, and a mushroom risotto to share and they were all amazing. Pastas and risotto were cooked to perfection and the seafoods were fresh. Service was also great and the restaurant had a luxurious ambiance. I'd highly recommend making a reservation during peak season. We went for a dinner on a Wednesday and the restaurant was packed.

Incredibly stylish while cozy at the same time. An entire page dedicated to negronis in the cocktail book. Expansive wine list with a very helpful somm (shout out to Quintin!) Lots of variety in the menu; was hard to choose as everything looked amazing. The salmon crudo was one of the best we've ever had, and the lobster fettucine is to-die-for. Veal cheeks and eggplant parm were both prepared to perfection, as were the bomba and bodino desserts. Last but not least, our server Joe was nothing short of fantastic. Everything far exceeded our expectations!

Came here for thanksgiving (US) dinner with some friends on a vacation together and the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious! We each ordered off of the prix fix menu so we could order an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Everything was outstanding. The service was also outstanding. The ambiance was intimate and felt cozy. Me and my man were actually admiring the decor and the design of the inside of the restaurant. We just thought is was really nice and modern. I ordered the gnocchi, mushroom risotto, and tiramisu for dessert. I love risotto, and not every restaurant knows how to properly cook risotto. Il Caminetto prepared it perfectly. There was so much yummy flavor in the food. We had a really enjoyable dinner experience here. I wish the tiramisu was not so large because I wanted to eat all of it/take it home, but I was so full! If you are looking for a comforting meal in Whistler, I would definitely book a reservation here. It seems to be quite popular, and I can see why! The food, the staff, and the ambiance are all A+++

Great dining experience with a custom menu for my large party. Our server, Chris, was attentive and great at recommending options to suit everyone's taste. 10/10

The ultimate fancy Italian dinning has a low lighting intimate dining experience. With white table clothes and a high end modern decor one can tell the experience will be top notch. In the middle of all the village it's best to make reservations because it gets very busy and books up fast. Everything on we order was very delicious I truly enjoyed the Bolognese and Lobster Saffron Linguine. The menu has a great variety of options and everything sounds great. Also have a great wine list. Inside outside seating, gets cold outside so they have blankets and share space heaters. Great accommodating dining experience for all age and palette.

The concierge at our hotel recommended Quattro and we decided to give it a try on our first night in town. Many restaurants in Whistler have specials if you are traveling in the shoulder season, which is just as winter season has closed and summer season begins. Lucky for us it was shoulder season. The restaurant had a special four course menu in addition to the regular menu. We decided to give the three course choices a try and then we added a wine pairing with each course. The ambiance was comfortable and cozy. We sat next to the window and had a nice view. The restaurant is a bit formal, but not stuffy. We were in jeans and nice shirts and were fine. The restaurant was pretty packed, and our server was still very attentive. So let's get started on the food. We started with a bread basket which is an additional charge. It was served with butter and olive oil with balsamic. The olive oil was incredible, nice and grassy. Mr. B chose the ahi tuna tartare bruschetta. The tuna was perfectly diced and was consistent sizes which is hard to do. For his second course he had the crab bisque paired with a nice chilled rose wine. For his main he chose the house special Tagliatelle with house made eight hour Bolognese. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the Bolognese was rich and full of Italian flavors. The wine pairing for this course was a lovely Rosa Toscana wine. For his fourth and final course he choice the Budino al Cioccolato, a caramelized brown butter chantilly cream and brownie bits. and it was creamy with crunchy bits on top. This dessert was paired with a nice Moscato. I started with the Truffle Arancini. Who doesn't love truffle and fried rice balls. The truffle flavor was there, not overpowering which I appreciate and the rice was tender and it was fried and seasoned extremely well. For my second course I had a lovely crisp Caesar Salad to cut the richness of the Arancini and it was paired with a very nice Barbera wine. For my main course I chose the Fusilli with Truffles which our server said is the most popular dish and I understand why. The fusilli was tender with a bite to it, the sauce was creamy and truffle was there. The Rosa Toscana paired nicely with this dish, and for my dessert I had to go with the Limoncello Panna Cotta. It was perfectly set, with a really nice and fresh Limoncello flavor to it and the Moscato paired perfectly. We are still talking about this meal and how much we loved each dish. No it wasn't inexpensive, our meals with the wine pairing was about $200, but I don't regret it, it was amazing.

The sourdough bread was excellent, the salad and soup of the day were both good, and dessert was excellent. I had planned to add scallops to my risotto based on the server's suggestion, but they were out of scallops, so I added prawns instead, which were very good. The only reason this is more of a 4.5-star experience for me is the noise level. The acoustics made the restaurant very, very loud, and we could hardly talk during our meal. I found myself eager to finish simply so we could get out of the noise. Everything else was wonderful, and I will click 5 stars because the food, presentation, and service absolutely deserve it. Sadly, I'm not likely to return because of the loud environment, but for guests who aren't bothered by noise, Wild Blue offers a truly lovely dining experience.

Araxi did not disappoint, though I'm disappointed in myself for missing their apres deal with a discounted fondue using cave aged gruyere! Definitely reserve ahead of time during peak season. They start you with fresh herbed ciabatta and sourdough with olive oil and butter, and both breads were great but especially so for our hungry kids. They had the most perfectly sharpened quality colored pencils and a coloring/activity sheet for the kids, which was much appreciated! Drinks: - The Cure: talisker 10, pineapple, mezcal float - Fig Jam: fig infused mezcal, apple cider, fig jam, spices - great to start They also had a good wine list, and they even had some local wines by the half bottle, which was a nice option, so we got a local Pinot. Food: - Oysters: island tide and kusshi, served with traditional mignonette and horseradish - Ricotta gnocchi: with wild mushrooms, cheesy lemon fonduta, crispy sage - a smaller portion but good for sharing as an appetizer - Pacific crab and matane shrimp cake: no fillers, perfectly seared, with a great local pear and avocado salsa verde - Seared scallops: perfectly seated, with local sunchokes, crispy prosciutto, grilled bok choy, xharred pepper romesco - Ora king salmon: similar to the kids' one but dressed up, with roasted beats, beet and ginger salsa, goat cheese arancini - House made bucatini: mentaiko style with spicy cod roe, humobldt squid, breadcrumbs. This had a nice kick, and the pasta texture was great - Kids' fish: seared salmon with risotto and bok choy - a generous portion of perfectly seared salmon! Dessert: - Valrhona chocolate fondant: warm gooey chocolate cake with tahitian vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate crisps Service was great and very kid friendly (including copper mule cups for their water!).
