They also rotate flavors through different seasons- I loved when they had the ube latte. The food is yummy; I liked the baja breakfast burrito & their baked goods are amazing! The atmosphere is unique with a rain forest type theme. I liked working in there though space is limited during the weekend.

I really enjoyed my drink. It was sweet but not too sweet. And the coffee was nice and not bitter. My fiancé got the tres leches and that was also very good. It was sweet and creamy. The coffee cake we got was just ok. It was kind of bland with hints of cinnamon. And it was a little dense. It was the only pastry that was there. I'm not sure if it was because we got there around 12, or if they just don't have other pastries regularly. It was also a lot more expensive than other coffee shops in the area. If we are back in the area we will definitely come back for the coffee and vibes. The inside is beautiful and a really chill place. It was clean inside and the couches were comfy. I also liked that the baristas knew the locals that came in. That welcoming feeling makes all the difference.

Matcha cream is not sweet at all and strawberries are not quite in season I suppose I also had a drink and it was delicious. It had brown sugar, Boba, and a taro milk cap. Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

I enjoy the cafe, and spend time their writing my book while enjoying coffee and a French Toast Muffin or a cheese on sour dough sandwich. Buckroe coffee was one of the best coffee shops I've been to in quite some time, too bad it's on the other side of the water from our house! Walking in you can tell it was once a bank, LOVE older buildings and stories like this! The atmosphere inside was amazing, there were all different types of customers enjoying conversation, working, and just enjoying time in their 3rd place. I ordered a blended mocha frappe. PERFECT on the hot day! My daughter ordered a lemon & white chocolate latte and it was one of the best she has had (and like her mother, she does love her coffee and is VERY picky) My husband went the non coffee route and ordered a Mango smoothie and found it refreshing and finished it in the car on the way home. If you are on the hampton side of the water I highly recommend you stopping at Buckroe coffee. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to head back up to the farmers market so I can stop here again on the way home :)

Stopping by to visit upon entering the atmosphere is just bright, lively and amenable to visit :) We tried multiple things. Between the cakes, chocolate dipped croissants, and other delectables, you're in for an amazing treat when you come here. I legit didn't even know this place existed but now I know why they always run out of food. Seriously, this place is amazing... It is just a beautiful venue, great place to meet up and eat delicious baked goods and drink fabulous beverages. I didn't know the drill so I followed the many patrons lined up with their trays and tongs, selecting gourmet croissants, pastries, breads, rolls, doughnuts, cakes, and just one delicious looking treat after another. One pink bread, yes pink! was filled with a tart pink cream, almost like lemon. A savory almond pastry had a sweet cream inside. The tray is a bit heavy standing there waiting to check out. This was lunch time so a line is not unusual. I really didn't know where to look and was afraid I was missing something. Now not taking away anything from the place, the price point is higher end. I mean between $3.50 and $7 per item. The second issue is the location. I hate it. It is located in a tight, busy apartment and business complex with cars and traffic vying for parking, people walking, just not convenient. There are at least 2 other sweet venues on either side of it and the same for them. I wish they would move to a location that is not so hemmed in. But I can seriously see meeting up with friends and having special events here. It is really cozy but classy. I love it!
