Located inside Food Bazaar, this is a hidden gem in an area that doesn't have many options for Korean Fried Chicken. They carry a variety of sauces to put on-top of your chicken and they are all so flavorful and unique. They range from your sweet and savory, to hot & spicy. I personally enjoy the Hot Soy Garlic & Soy Garlic the best. Family friendly! My kids love this place & their favorite is definitely soy garlic. My daughter is rather picky with her taste selection, but chows these down to the bone. 10/10 would recommend for sure! they recently added a new selection of BTS themed coffee beverages for the caffeine lovers, my favorite here is mocha latte. read more

Wowow, what a gem. There are a plethora of Korean fried chicken spots but Rokstar has the cleanest, most "premium" quality to it. Few highlights: - chicken does not feel greasy. - boneless wings are bomb- they use dark meat and it just melts in your mouth - the chicken sandwich is so so good. Combo of the sweet bun, tender chicken, and the slaw create a very balanced combo. I could eat these all day. - the slaw is simple and sweet. Very good complement to the chicken. - the breading does not feel overwhelming, salty, or gross. Whatever recipe they use for the breading and frying is a winner. I highly recommend. read more

This was a cool little spot tucked into the corner of the poultry section in Food Bazaar Douglaston. I was a little conflicted, so I went with one of the meals for one lie I usually do at other K.F.C. joints around the city. The guy at the counter was super nice and the food was cooked to order. I shopped a bit and returned when I received the text. The food looked great and I was super grateful to have the sauce on the side. It didn't taste like any of the other places, the garlic soy was much sweeter than I'm accustomed to. the crunch was great but the flavor relies heavily on the sauce. a few of my pieces were cooked a bit uneven (it was thigh meat) so putting it aside to reheat later was a safer bet. the slaw was fresh and tasty, as was the fluffy rice. Tried the fried chicken and it's some of the best I've ever had. Had a gentleman by the name of Danny help me out figure out what I wanted and so I went with the rice chicken and sweet potato Fries. We ordered a Rokstar WHOLE. I think the timing was fine since we were getting some groceries, but it is definitely a long time if you're just ordering for takeout and there isn't a place to sit down. Its all the way in the back of the store. Kind of have to maneuver yourself sideways and byways, but you'll get there. The chicken is pretty darn good. Packed with flavor and super crispy. Even the mozzarella sticks are good. I like that they're in the thinner side, for whatever reason. Didn't love it didn't hate it. I got the rokstar set with truffle fries which was an extra 3 dollars and unfortunately i didn't taste any truffle. The convenience of having it right in the grocery store is nice, and I'd go out of my way to go there just for the sandwich. Tried the spicy ranch, sweet Korean chili, and spicy soy garlic sauces. My favorites were the spicy ranch and sweet Korean chili. Definitely recommend the spicy ranch on the sandwich, and the sweet Korean chili for dunking the wings. Less than an hour after posting my original review, we were really impressed that someone from Rokstar called us to let us know he read my review. He apologized that we weren't 100% satisfied for our order and offered to comp us some boneless wings and sweet potato fries the next time we were at the store. We went back today. Sam was very nice, quickly located the credit and placed the gratis order for us and this time he gave us the sauce on the side. We're very happy to report the boneless wings were crispy and very tasty. The sweet potatoes fries were lightly coated with sugar and were delicious. The next time, we'll probably get the regular wings because we think they're a little juicier with the bone on and will remember to order the sauce on the side. Thank you, Rokstar! Both flavors were great and chicken was moist and tender. Only complaint I had was that the chicken pieces were extremely small. Had mostly thighs, couple drums and wings, and no breast pieces. SO glad I found this little gem. Ordered the boneless (classic + sauce) and the first thing I noticed is how crispy and tender the chicken is compared to some of the other more popular KFC brands. Portions are pretty big and they also have a good selection of sides to choose from. Their sweet potato fries definitely did not disappoint. Can't beat the location.
